Ahahah I am so delighted! I am sure I have so so much to learn. This trick is just an invention because….I am too lazy to do a proper two by two tubular cast on 😂

I have watched so many methods and thought they were too fussy for a hat so I set out to make my own method. This is what i came up with last night! Glad to see it here as i don't want to make a video!

I like my increases and decreases symmetrical and after experimenting found a way but it also is much better explained by another yt guy. I'll find him and post it here. I knit and crochet for sanity. @irishfarmart

Great demonstration Sam! I think this method is also known as an alternating cable cast on. I really prefer this method you showed as it is much easier than the other method that requires a couple of set up rows.

@@irishfarmart i got it after watching your video. Dpn s rule !!
Another kind of question, going to look up your art videos. And i am trying to figure out an art question. 3 am sleepless because the big dog Sweet Pea is scared of rain on a metal roof and thunder and she woke me up, and funny, now she is dozing and farting.
So when laying flat on my back (medical isue ndurologicslnand orthopedic) a few years back, i thought of a board game. I could not move right and i began to design a board game because i couod do it without movimg any bidy oarts much.,It turned out better than I expected. When abke inresearch board gsne desugn and foumd out i knew but dud nit knkw the terms and that my game seems good, maybe very good. Imlove the designing the rules part, not so much the designing an abstract game board. I feel better and i stop working on it. The board game gets my more psin crazed time, so it has gone slowly but well. I need 11 colors that look good together and can not easily be mistaken for each other because i want 11 sets of game pieces and 4 sides to a reversible gsmeboard and of course not all colors can play on all the sides of the game board and wow more choice of colors for players. Spaces on game board coordinate with the game pieces, a color has an advantage if its game piece is sittimg on a color matching space. Do you like board games? Maybe not. In this gane you get to do duce battkes and steal the other colors' space and swipe their game pieces off the board for 3 turns. Butbit is not just a battle game and it is quirky. Gauche might be what i need to rough up 4 game biard designs, just good enough i do not have to wave my arms and describe colors and shapes with words, which would be funny but not very effective. Ha How would you mske 4 rough sides of a board game designs. I used kid art stuff anc pencils and scribbled. I tried colored pencils which did not wotk well. I sometimes draw on my tablet, but it is backlit snd not like a game board.
I live in Mississippi. I made a wool vest for myself but i knit in acrylic more, and we have hig weather and lots of moths, but i bought Regia sock yarn and am knitting wool socks. But i took in a big dog and knitting worsted weight acrylic is hard withna big pit bulldig barreling into your project. She even grabbed my knitting project tonight because i was ignoring her but she has what hunters call a soft mouth, and is well trained and gentle. I just got her about a month back.
Maybe too much info, but how would you rough sketch a game board with 4 sides, just well enough to pass the idea on to some one more talented? I studied art for about 3 years, l practiced drawing and i duscovered i have no draaimg talent and like my no musical talent, but i can see more colors of green and such, but did not wake up any natural aptitudevfkr drawing. Sone people have a good color sense; i seem to have inherited my grandmother's atrocious color sense. I learned rules but i can see others just instinctively putting colors together well.
Anyways, if you have any helpful ideas, let me know by reply here. I am on facebook.

@@eastlynburkholder3559 that’s so interesting! First of all keep the idea, work on it! You are talented enough and I am sure would come to light. I don’t have much experience with designing games ( if any at all ) but from what I gather I would approach the design in 4 different separate pages, so you can concentrate on each one, then maybe a quick sketch of what that would look like together

I'm sorry, but that is not at all tubular cast on. There is not even give a tubular feel to it. It's just a very slightly modified cable cast on. The stitches do not flow over the edges as a true tubular cast on makes the stitches do.
Thank you, though, it'll probably be useful for some other project down the line where the look of the very beginning does not matter.
