The best one i seen so far, actually explains how and where to place the highlights + shadows. All of the other tutorials I seen have just been drawing in the highlights with no explanation
Amazing video mate. This is a blessing for novice artists, really incredible help, you were able to summarize something so important in less than 10 minutes. You're amazing :)
Great tutorial one way i make this faster is selective color and color grading. This is because like you i also only have mouse 🐁 it help so much to get those contours on the face more real looking.
Amazing video bro! Great idea on searching lighting techniques and explaining it. I feel this area is one that much thought isn't put into. Glad you shared an example as well as amazing resources to help out with this concept!
It would be nice if you showed how to apply the solid color fill in 'linear dodge' mode. No clue how to do that and it's not straight forward. I can't recreate the light effect you have.
Click Windows Button+Shift+S and then the screenshot menu appears. Drag the part you want to take a screenshot and then it will be saved on the clipboard. To paste it, just press Ctrl+V. Done!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos and i want to ask how do you take out the object [using channels] from background which has Grey to white color tone [darker and lighter] ?

Should we take the sub surface scattering into account where the color is a bit saturated and the hue shifts a bit?
Yes.. we should ... sub surface for mostly when the light comes from behind... we might also need to take fresnel effect into account
It really helped. Thanks a lot
Great tutorial and great work!!
Thank you so much my friend 🙌
It would be nice if you showed how to apply the solid color fill in 'linear dodge' mode. No clue how to do that and it's not straight forward. I can't recreate the light effect you have.
