not sure if this is fixed or not but sodium is extremely annoying trying to install for other versions cause i feel like every single iris version requires sodium 0.5.8, no matter what to do for that iris version
bro tysm for this tutorial, it works and now my pc sounds like a jet engine
and still isent working, I am using complementary reimagined witch is one that's supposed to work but I still get all the visual bugs like missing chunks, and even not loading entire terrain...I'm done trying to get this mod to work...good video though
on fabric, shaders everything works perfectly, but I have a modpack on forge with guns and tanks on 1.20.1, and game can start, but when I join the server, game is crashing
The compatibility issue is likely the cause. DH only supports a limited number of mods.
There's literally always a problem when trying to get both the shaders and Distant Horizons to work. Fuck it.
When you already have DH installed, it is only a matter of choosing the compatible shaders. There is a link to the list of compatible ones in the description. After enabling them for the first time, I would suggest restarting Minecraft since DH sometimes has trouble loading chunks.
I get this error everytime loading the game Distant Horizon :"This pack doesn't have DH support". What does this mean. I'm not using shaders.
Its not working says mods aren't compatible
If you download mods from links in the video description, they should be compatible. Even if you already have incompatible mods, the error you receive while starting Minecraft should tell you which versions of the mods Minecraft wants you to install or replace.
@@monky. I tried myself and it says they are not compatible. The links must be wrong. I did a clean minecraft install
My mistake! The description had a newer version of Iris that didn't work with the other modifications. It's fixed now, thanks!
no matter what i do i can't get the DH icon to show up in settings. I have exactly all the mods you got in the video

If chunks aren't loading, try restarting Minecraft or using a different shader. Sometimes, after enabling shaders, DH has trouble loading chunks and a restart fixes that. Thanks!
@@monky. If a restart does'nt fix this issue (cause im having it too), is there any other possible fixes to lods not loading with shaders?
Coz Minecraft Mod scene has always been a mess, it would only work one day.
every shader you provided only has options for iris and optifine. whats up with that?
You can use these shaders with Oculus, Iris, and Optifine. They work with both Forge and Fabric.
I can't make DH and shaders work at the same time. When I turn off shaders DH is working fine, but as soon as i turn on any shader DH is not displaying any far chunk :/
After enabling shaders, try restarting Minecraft. Also make sure you are using one of the compatible shader packs: gist.github.com/Steveplays28/52db568f297ded527da56dbe6deeec0e

Never used pojavlauncher, no idea if it supports the DH mod
I used the links in the description and it says that Distanthorizons 2.1.2 is incompatible with any version of iris when I try to launch, what do i do???

There are no links in the description for version 1.19.2. I prepared links for 1.21, 1.20.6, and 1.20.1. You will have to combine the correct versions of mods for your 1.19.2 Minecraft. Usually, the Minecraft log with the error should tell you which versions of the mods it wants.
Dont use 2.1.2 use distant horizons 2.0.1-a its the only one that works with iris and 1.19.2
wahhh i wish this was working. DH chunks turn off when i apply shaders. i tried restarting, and on load it says in red "This pack doesn't have DH support. Distant Horizons (DH) chunks won't show up. This isn't a bug, get another shader."
but i'm only trying Bliss and another shader that i see people using with DH 🤔

Which version of Bliss have you downloaded? The one from the video description?
Game keeps on crashing saying exit code on for forge

At the end of the file location, there should be a reason why it fails, just like here:
Java.nio.file.FileSystemException: C:\Users\pc\AppData\Roaming\.minecraf\[..]tiny-mappings0.3.0+build.17.jar: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Just check what Java wants you to do.
i dont have a mods folder in forge
Just create a new folder 'mods'.

I get an error message when im in game saying:

what should i do? my cpu should be able to handle it fine, its a 5600x
You can try lowering the distant horizons mod's settings.
@@monky. I changed the timeout time from 60 seconds to 120 and that fixed it but thanks for the reply 👍
Iris and Distant Horizons still just aren't compatible for 1.19.2
That's right, DH is available for other versions, but you will need Iris 1.7, which is currently not available for all versions supported by DH.
yes it is just use distant horizons 2.0.1-a and it works fine with iris
