Hey, I’ve been looking for mods like these for a while now! Thank you so much! You made my day, it is midnight though, so ima prolly go to sleep. But anyways, Keep up the good quality Content!
BSL might not look as fancy as Complementary, but BSL still has my preference as it comes with one thing Complementary doesn't have; extreme shadow distance. Not sure about the latest version of Complementary. My Render Distance is at 12 (don't need much anyway with DH), but shadows render have an RD of 64. Not sure about your specs, but my pc might be considered medium (6700XT and Ryzen 7 3700x) and already struggles rendering shaders well if I go crazy on the settings. So I have an extensive list of optimization mods that are compatible with DH and Sodium: ImmediatelyFast, MoreCulling, entity-culling, Modernfix and Dynamic fps (doesn't improve in-game performance, but reduces minecraft performance consumption when minimized). Also, Presence Footsteps, Sounds, Sound physics remastered, ImmersiveThunder, and particular all improve sounds and the last one effects (like proper splashes and waterfall fog). Noisium also recommends using C2ME to further improve performance, but do not use it. It breaks DH water rendering.
Only thing I can't seem to find is that effect at 8:45 where you can almost see the mountains in the distance but not too much, in my case I can clearly see where the world isn't loading which ruins the immersion a lot
When talking about world generation mods, use Terralith and Tectonic at the same time. Because of the high render distance of Distant Horizon, Tectonic smoothen out the elevation changes so it would look better.

embeddium has a known reputation from stealing code from multiple mods, mainly copy pasting mods such as Sodium, Reese’s Video Options and so more. this process goes beyond the legal licensing of each included mod, which therefore makes embeddium illegal. the worst part about embeddium is that it was meant to be a *forge port of sodium* which was targeted for complete code similarity with Sodium, with the reason why the developer deciding to add a fabric version of a already existing mod(that, to be fair, is so much better) and still stealing code from other mods is still unknown to this day. so all in all, like mentioned in the pinned comment, please switch to sodium. it’s just better, more stable and definitely just feels more right to use.

so i think there's something wrong with my render distance, i have all the mods you have in the description as well as changed the same settings you changed in the video. my render distance is maxed out at 32 chunks but it looks like it's only showing 6 or something. Edit: I think i see the issue, Terralith message pops up when i load a single player world but once i load into a multiplayer server, it doesn't. Maybe Terralith doesn't work on the server? The render distance works on the singleplayer world but not my server is why i point it out. But I'm just guessing, i don't know if Terralith has anything to actually do with the issue.
