Fitting a BOB Ibex Plus bike trailer on a BMW e-Bike

- This video will show how to fit a BOB Ibex Plus trailer to a BMW Cruise E Bike and a short demo of it hauling over 35KG ( 77lbs) of weight .
The bike did well however if i was to use with the trailer off road again with the same weight I would need off road tyres not the road ones the bike comes with as standard as in some deep mud areas it struggles as any bike with road tyres would.
I have two bmw M bikes, they are absolutely excellent. Great design, M division color paint, and good components
I'm impressed, although I'd be more impressed if it used 2 AAA batteries ;)

Hi yu just bought the ibex for my ghost ebike for a two day Dartmoor camp over Christmas. I was wondering where you got the bottle cradle you have on the ibex suspension. Regards steve

We will video our adventure and upload. we intend to camp on top of a tor so as you say it will test our gear which is arctic rated so hopefully all will be well I guess we will see.

What's your impression - is the trailer begging for an accident on fast (say, ca. 70km/h descents) over steep winding roads?
I'm considering an eBike; came across a beautiful carbon Mondraker Prime-E for the price of a regular e-MTB. The carbon frame precludes a use of panniers. I'm thinking, the Bob trailer might do instead. But will it? I haven't the temperament of the average bike tourist - to Me a slow descent is no descent at all.
+LeoInterHyenaem I went down to Dartmoor where the hills are notorious for being high gradient, the only thing that failed was me :) the trailer was fine.i am a slowcoach on the bike so can't say for sure if it will manage such high speed but it has been great for me. It is a little heavy on its own 7kg approx but with an e bike you don't even feel it. My next bike will be a decent ebike , funny you mention Mondraker as I was looking at them.
you dont need to take the whole wheel off to change the quick release.

Topeak Modula java bottle cage , I can't find them for sale anywhere now but the do an adjustable one on Amazon by same manufacturer which is very similar 👍
P.S they are two single units mounted on the Bob trailer cage points

I see the advantage on 1 day short trips but how would you charge the bike if you plan a week trip
+stotas2 guess a charge point would need to be on the route. It does about 80 miles on eco mode:)
Wild Camper My plan for a leisurely trip around IOW is to use paid camping sites, and then borrow a power-point in their office overnight. A pound coin from me will give them a good profit on the juice used. (500 wh recharges with less than 1 kWh, typical price £0.13)
