I'm about ready to say my last goodbyes to my Molly. She was very attached to my late wife who passed 5 years ago from cancer. One of the last things she requested of me was to take good care of Molly. Of course there was no other way. I love Molly and we have bonded so very closely, and now at 74 years old, I will be completely without my only true loves. Your video on the actual euthanization of Mac was very heartwarming and I want to thank you for your heart. I'm bawling as I'm writing this, but know I will survive it. Knowing Molly will be in Heaven with Joan is a relief. Again, thank you! God Bless.

Your comment made me cry! The pain of losing the ones closest to us--human, pet--is just the worst part of being human. I can't imagine losing my husband, but will one day have to cross that bridge. But I've lost so many dogs and omg, I just swear I'll never get another one...but I always do. I often think the way we grieve(the depth of it) is in direct relation to how much we loved. That's the duality of life, isn't it? The irony of it all. I pray for better days ahead for you bc you are truly(and have been) going through it. Much love to you!

I was blessed with 4 Greys throughout my life. I still miss them all so much. I don't know if it's good or bad, but I still talk to all of them to this day. I want them to know that I still love, and miss them. The pain of loss never does go away.

Of all of life's challenges, having to say goodbye to my greyhound Rose is by far and away the thing I fear the most. All I can do is give her the best and happiest life and, when that most dreaded of days come, I hope I can take comfort in that.

I lost my little Maggie (Jack Russell 22 years old.) I lost her a month ago. The emptiness 😢 I’ve coped by going on my bike, long cycles and nature.

Thank you for opening your heart to Mac and Tosh, and for enriching the greyhound community with your shared experiences. Your unique contribution to the relatively scarce collection of greyhound content on TH-cam has been a beautiful gift. It's truly remarkable how you, alongside Mac and Tosh, have carved out a special place within the global greyhound community. Your efforts bring joy and connection to many, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

My wife and I foster lurchers for rehoming, and we have always had dogs of our own. We lost Moss18 years ago, who was a really sweet gentle dog. Every now and then I still feel his head nosing into my hand, and I stop and sniffle, just for a moment. Some of the little darlings stick with you more than others, almost like they aren't done with you yet. It doesn't hurt, there is no regret, just a deep, fond memory that moves me. More power to my fellow sighthound carers everywhere. Written on a MacBook Pro btw.

Losing a fur member is a painful life experience. I really like the way you dealt with your experience of losing a companion. And they are never "Just a dog". And what a great way to celebrate Mac's memory.

Thanks for this video, I lost both of my pups within the last year. Dogs are not here with us long enough.

I still think about my childhood dog who was a rock for me through years of one parent's alcoholism. I've had a few health concerns from a serious accident a few years ago, and had this dream of ancient elders training my dog to watch over me. I can't forget it, it seemed real. Also, your kid videos look hilarious. My childhood buddies and I used to make comedy videos when I was like 11 or 12 and amazingly, they are still funny. Thanks for sharing your journey, I think it actually is very helpful for others even if you might think it's rando.

Thank you for making this whole series of videos, it's helped me deal with my grief. I lost my Ibizan Hounds Darby and Rooney in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Darby had a cancer that eventually grew into his throat. Rooney declined more slowly due to arthritis, confusion, and anxiety related to aging. I still feel grief at times, but I also get good memories. Here's a video of them playing together: th-cam.com/video/H-_CYtSU3eE/w-d-xo.html.
