  • I think we can all agree, the Honda XR650R is an awesome dirtbike! However it has always lacked a serious charging system to be able to charge a battery for good lighting, radiator fan, heated grips, GPS, or other accessories. RMSTATOR has solved that problem!
Our new 3 phase 250W charging system kit provides and new stator and regulator to be able to reliably charge a real battery on your XR. The stator installs like the OEM, and plugs into your factory harness for ignition purposes. The stator charging output plugs right into our included series type voltage regulator rectifier.
It requires some custom wiring and component mounting. You have to determine where to put your new battery, CDI, and mount the regulator rectifier. This video gives you some ideas.
All electronics should then be run from the battery. We recommend using a good quality dual sport harness for DC lighting, with a keyswitch for the DC circuit and kill switch. This can be used to turn your DC CDI on and off.
    Kit available here from RMSTATOR:

Take note! This system requires a few things!
    Battery:
We recommend the Earthx ETZ5G lithium as it fits perfectly under the seat.

    DC CDI ignition box:
The 3 phase stator does not have a source coil to power the original AC CDI ignition. You MUST change to a DC battery powered ignition.
RMSTATOR will have a plug and play DC CDI available later in 2024.
For now, we recommend the excellent Ignitech DCCDIP, available in plug & play format for the XR650R from Spectrum Moto:

Okay, how can I install this 250W stator kit on my "European standard" - xr650r ? Here in the EU we have (stock 150w stator?) AC and DC circuits from factory. AC for Headlights, and DC for the horn, blinkers and brake lights . I have some kind OEM regulator rectifier + 470uF? cap behind the headligt...

This is great. Thank you. I assume this is a two phase system. I see your site has a DC conversion kit... is that stator reg/rect plus CDI box?
