nice to see you again.. You can try Qunincy Hotel in Orchard Road. It is now open for stayaction.. Every guests there get free breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening cocktail. or try Tanglin Jen who is now open for stayaction. But don't go to Furama City Centre.. it is very crowded and guests not happy with service standards there. (wait till few months later , when they sort out everything.)
Hi Jim and Shaun, thanks for the great review. I know this hotel from a couple of years ago. I stayed there for a transit, as it is very close to the airport and they offer a free airport shuttle. And as you said, the price is very reasonable. I would not choose the Mercure Roxy if i want to do something in the city, as it is quite a long trip to reach downtown. I would definately choose this hotel again when in transit in Singapore, i was quite happy with it too. So thanks a lot again guys for the video and have a great week ahead. Cheers from Munich.
Hello Reiner! Thanks so much for your kind words. And yes, you're probably right that this is an ideal property for a transit before continuing your journey to other cities, in consideration of its proximity to the airport. And as tourists hoping to get as much as Singapore, it is definitely more ideal to favour a hotel in the city centre. Good to know that you're happy with it. We've had an enjoyable stay there as well. Thanks once again for your kind words, and have a wonderful week ahead too! Cheers from a gloomy and overcast Singapore, Jim and Shaun
Hello David! It is pretty decent considering the age of this property. Hehe... And yes it is definitely close to bus-stops. It is also near to East Coast Park. 🙃🙃🙃 What kind of Bed Test Merch are you thinking of? A t-shirt that says "Official Bed Testers" with a caricature of us? 🤭🤭🤭 Or a pillow case? Hahahaha! Have a great weekend David! 💙💙
@@Follow_ussg It's gonna be a busy weekend. We have store inventory on Sunday, so that's going to be a long day. Thankfully I have Monday and Tuesday off to relax. You guys have a great weekend as well.
Gday Jim and Shaun. Find any got around to watch the vlog. I think I have found the ideal hotel for me in SG . I know it's a bit far out but for a tourist who wants to jog its ideal being so close to east coast park. As compared to cuty hotels where you need to jog amongst traffic and pedestrians. Hopefully by the time i get there all restrictions will be lifted in the gym. The gym look good ( I mainly use free weights) happy to hear there's plenty of food options close ( hopefully there is a good coffee shop nearby for my Flat White) no nepresso machine so you could not add capsules to yoyr collection 😁. Overall I give the hotel the thumbs up. Btw your right Shaun has bulked up his guns are getting bigger 😁 Have a great week ahead and stay safe . I notice SG is having a huge covid numbers now simular to Sydney.
Hi Gary~ The hotel sometime have 80S++ room rate, there will be a train station just right infront the hotel, this will be a great hotel for you. The area have many cafes and great walking route to explore the beautiful old buildings and some great food. Best part is the East Coast Park is just 5min walk away, perfect for a run! Shaun has been train very very hard during his 2 months school holiday, you will see him with nice V shape, big arms and lean 6 packs!!! Shame on me being lazy just to maintain only~ ahhaha

Always wondering how to pronounce this word “Mercure” whenever I come across with this hotel chain😂
Hehehe... "Mur-Cure" is we believe to be the pronunciation. "Mur" like when you pronounce "murmur". 🤣🤣🤣
Have a great weekend! 🌈
