The most detailed demonstration I have watched on YT.

Probably the most important skill I've learned from you over the past couple of months has been the ability to think through and work through problems when they come up as I start woodworking as a beginner. A birdhouse project I'm doing had a couple problems with split wood. From your videos I've learned when to replace the board and when and how to just use a repair using different methods. I am a methodical learner so I appreciate the extra steps.

This is gold, only a woodworking teacher can put this in to words, all the everyday thinking on my workbench. I came for the miter box, and I get a bunch of great tips! Thank you, subscribing!

Amazingly helpful, wasn't going to watch as have made mitre boxes before, but there was so much extra: drills, depth stop etc that I was very glad I did. Outstanding clarity throughout.

I really appreciate these excellent, straightforward videos. They compensate somewhat for my attending a school too small to have a shop class (30 in my graduating class). The attention to layout is more important than the box itself, except that the box proves the point. Thanks!

As soon as I get a mitersaw, this project is a done deal. Thank you for your help! :-)

You can do it with any saw. Don't need to wait for a miter.

Engineering maxim: Do it once, just do it. Do it more than once, use a jig so it's consistent. Mitre boxes are a jig ... that's good enough for me.

Great, informative video. You’re a great teacher! Thank you!
I’m brand new to woodworking, and I don’t have anyone to teach me in person, so I was having so much trouble and frustration with the basics. Your channel has helped me so much, and I’m enjoying my new hobby more and more all the time. ^_^

Great video, very informative. Is it truly considered a mitre box if it has no mitre slots on it? Never the less a well made video.

It's just a generic name. But 90* is an angle too.

This is true, I'd like to see more projects like this one if you have time, I find making shop "helpers" to be great starting projects.
      Thanks.
