- Jennifer Esposito is a veteran actress who mortgaged her house to finish making the movie she’s wanted to make since she was a teenager. She wrote, directed, and stars in Fresh Kills about growing up in the world of the mafia in Staten Island. It’s a smart, touching portrait of young women in crisis and it shows Jen as a talented filmmaker and a great actress. Plus, we figure out that we worked together 30 years ago. For real. Awesome conversation.

One of the most beautiful women on the planet... and a great actor. Always been a big fan and kept an eye out for movies she's in, (if she's in it, it'll be worth watching). This interview sheds a new light. Great to see her branching out like this. Can't wait to see her film!
When I tell you I love Jennifer! I'm always drawn to any character she plays. She was my favorite character on Samantha Who....just her vibe. So happy for her! Can't wait to see her film!
Whenever I see her in anything I know it’s gonna be good
I will bet on her. I can’t Wait to support her projects!!!!
Can't believe Jennifer went through this. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.
i too grew up absorbing tv and learning from watching tv and still to this day i watch tv and i am still learning today
I'm 12 mins in and so far she's complained about being offered awesome mafia movies, not being 'allowed' to be the star, being asked to come in on her day off and and to change her hairstyle. There may be a legit grievance in here somewhere but I won't make it that far.
@@muximus2771 12 minutes in to which video? None of those things are in this video.
@squatch545 Yeah, you're right. She's a ball of positive energy and doesnt seem bitter or miserable at all. My bad.
Love Jen - such an inspiration for all of us in the business and community. And this Coffee Shop detour *killed me*. That place was such a scene! All the beautiful people. No place better than NYC in the 90s.
So glad she did some final episodes in the last season of Blue Bloods!
Please write a movie about this coffee shop!
i second this
I love her. Yeah, why can't work just be about work, without all the fluff expectations?
I wonder who the ppl are that she knows that are those characters. In staten island, she grew up in bullshead where sammy the bull had a home. I know she went to moore. Those were the days when girls were real physical and bullying was
Wildly out of control
I think that she was so pretty and was a great actress in sos
Was?
Shie looks down to earth as a movie star so pretty
This Definitely needs more eyes. I always saw myself in Jennifer turns out the struggle was pretty similar
and i too would say WHY? but WHY? YEAH kinda similar i am neutral
She already has two eyes. How many more do you think she needs?
Talk about the Sopranos.
3 seconds
Thry TOLD her to change her last name....she said ...."""NO""" my last name doesnt work in Film
It’s the accent.
That made her too niche.
She look the same ...
Vorrei averla vista senza parrucca e dentiera l'intervento di rinoplastica a parte ovviamente 🤔
I met her as a 16 year Old in the S.I. Mall...she was cute ....Natural
Shame cause I actually liked her before this interview. I actually thought she was so pretty, a good actress and in some really good roles. But then I watched this and all her woes and victimizing herself turned me right off.
What.. a woman with an opinion disrupts you senses.. you're weak coward
@@biancasteel4537
Looks like you got your senses disrupted by someone's opinion. Does that make you a weak coward too?
@@biancasteel4537😂 hypocrite
@@cesarmedina7080 Just like it looks like you got disrupted by someone's opinion.
She was defending not being the biggest thing in Hollywood...the guy made her feel small. So she went on the attack of Hollywood types....but she had a good career...nobody can take that away
I find her unrelatable and unlikesble. Poor me, she’s been a working actress since her 20’s. How many actresses would love to say that. Poor me I got spanked, poor me I’m so pretty that it hindered my career. Poor me my manager asked me to be polite to my coworker’s. Poor me I had to wait tables. Funny how they worked in same place yet she didn’t know this guy. Cause she’s obnoxious, thinks way too highly of herself. Not a fan of this entitled, poor me I’m a victim chic.
I think the guy accidentally was embarrassing her by saying..."You made this film because you didn't hit it big like Cameron Diaz" ....so she protected herself and should have said """look...I have worked through the years and didn't get all the breaks" ...but here I am now...I made a movie""" (The guy was being insensitive and she defended big time...by dropping Spike Lee's name and stuff.
Oh...please there were other people in Hollywood...Jen Bobby Dinero wanted you in Analize this,...but they wanted a known name
Hollywood people ALWAYS thinks big of themselves....the ones that don't become LEGENDS *(BRANDO, DEAN, STREEP,FIELD)
