Disrespectful?? Whenever the word “respect” is used in sports/game commentary the user is ALWAYS wrong. There are legal moves and illegal moves PERIOD. No such category as “moves that offend the sensitive Leo Blum”.
Perhaps we should introduce a new type of chess: "Leo Blum chess". If a player feels disrespected, then the opponent needs to retract his latest move and choose another.
It's not disrespect. We see this Nh6 with g6 in many openings, and even if it's dubious to start with Nh6, there are ideas like f5 or Nf5 at some point. For sure Magnus analysed that, don't think 1...Nh6 is an easy win for White in a blitz context if Black plays logically after this... There are so many stories told by his seconds about how he tries to analyse everything. His curiosity is one of his main strenghts. Here, it was about avoiding main theory, just enjoying the game like a child as there was no particular pressure, and if the opponent manages to refute, just GG. Those who know chess and really understand the game, his opponent included, know it...
@@Scopa777 one can argue that he intentionally made several unnecessary and suboptimal moves besides 1... Nh6. He can be subjective and speculate, but he abuses it to a disrespectful degree.
Love the content ❤

I find these Knight opening moves to the rim of the board so disrespectful. Glad he at least lost one of the subsequent games.

You are a le-hoo-ze-herrr
That's why he is the best. You have to try out new moves. That's not disrespectful

Hahaha, Carlsen lost the second game badly. He deserved that for being so insanely disrespectful.
