No problem, I'm glad I could help you out! Your resolution shouldn't be a problem for these two cards. Unfortunately I don't know how well it will do under Linux since I never really used it. ;)
I used the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7 motherboard with PCI Express 2.0. I know, GPU-Z sometimes reports PCIe 3.0 card's interfaces incorrectly. No actually in this performance level you wouldn't notice much of a difference when running in an PCIe 1.1 slot. Hopefully this helped you out! ;)
Thanks for this review, I've been looking for a single slot card for my Shuttle PC. I have a 4670 in there now which sounds like a jet engine. The performance of this card looks like a big improvement and should cut down the noise. How does this compare to the single slot 6670's?
The ASUS version has a Core Clock of 820MHz. The Sapphire versions go from 800-850MHz. Now the decision is up to you. If you take the 850MHz Sapphire card you'll get better performance than with the ASUS, which has 820MHz. Hopefully this helped you out! ;)
Hey Nick! I have watched a lot of your videos since I'm soon going to build my very first budget gaming pc (getting a bit bored of console games :3). Currently, I'm deciding on getting a good graphics card that will be able to play games (like bf3, crysis 2, gw2, etc.) at 1366x768 resolution and at least 30+ fps. Will this card be able to do the job? I've heard the 7770 is good too. Thank you! :D
No problem, I'm glad you liked it! This card would definitely be the perfect replacement for your old HD 4670. This HD 7750 is also a lot better than the HD 6670. But I guess this card would be perfect for you, because it's very silent. Hopefully I could help! :)
@Me5age Thanks! Yes, the temperatures are a little high, but still it's not too bad. It's very slim and so there is no enormous cooling possible. In games it ran at 52-54C.
@AlexDark1111 I don't need Wikipedia for that basic question. Your motherboard will be able to run the HD 7750, but like I already said before you will see a lot lower scores than I did since the PCIe 1.0 bandwidth is a lot lower than Version 2.0 or 3.0. But yes, you can install this card in your motherboard.
@AlexDark1111 I hope I could help you out! Yes, maybe I will show some graphs in the future videos and will also try to get my hands on some games you mentioned.
great review. I just bought one a slightly used one on amazon for about 90 bucks. very excited about this card, and because I play 720p, I will be playing everything on ultra :)
Got this card yesterday and I'm very impressed. I think this card is easily the single-slot winner right now. It was also $104 CDN which isn't bad considering the performance and it's a niche product. I'm using this in a Shuttle XPC connected to a LCD HDTV. Most of the games can be played high settings and 1080p, some games you may need to drop the settings but most are playable (and better looking than console versions.)
Hey Nick! I came here again to ask you about the 7750/7770 graphics cards. I know that they're goid in performance, but I heard from some reviews that they're a bit pricey compared to the 6850/6770. Is it wise for me to go with the 7770 or 7750? Should I wait for a couple of months till prices cone down? Thanks! :)
At first, thank you very much for subscribing, I really appreciate that! For your build I'd recommend the GTX 560 over the HD 6870 since the 560 is a little faster especially in Battlefield 3. I know you want to play BF3 with the new build. Unfortunately I can't review the HD 6870 since I have to keep the money for the next-generation components like the i7-3770K and NVIDIA's GTX 660 for example. I'm sorry, but I hope you can understand that. But really for your build the GTX 560 is right!
@ultimatemtb Thank you very much, but unfortunately I have no experience with the HD 6870 cards, but I tested a GTX 560, which should deliver the same performance as a HD 6870.
for anyone still here. i got a low profile version 6 years ago, it was used before me for a rally simulator. this card is almost 10 years old and it still runs gta 5, ets2, ats and most games i throw at it. was my first ever gpu in my first ever pc. im upgrading to an rx 640 tommorow
The Intel D102GGC2 motherboard indeed supports PCI Express cards. You will get lower scores than I did with your PCIe 1.0 slot, but still this card would be the best choice nevertheless. Hopefully I could help you out! ;)
Btw, a bit of missinformation. The 7750 CAN crossfire through the pci-e slot. Check out the reviews/benchmarks of 7750 crossfire and also check out the details on the sales page, it supports it. =p
Thank you! Yes, this card should run games with 30+ fps, especially at your screen resolution. There's no problem. The HD 7770 is even better, so you can play at even higher settings. :)
@TeckHacker33 Thanks, unfortunately I can't review it, since I can't get it anymore. But you maybe will see a review on NVIDIA's new generation cards that perform equally to the HD 6850 or better.
I'll bet you could enjoy both on the 7750 but you'd probably find yourself wanting more. I have a GPU at just about the same level and I generally enjoy it but some games seem unoptimized.
HI Nicolas, I am about to buy the HD7750. Which one is better in terms of performance/overall, the Sapphire HD7750 or the Powecolor HD7750? I can't decide! Please help!
The Sapphire version would probably be a little better, but if you want a silent card this PowerColor beats the Sapphire version. I hope this could help you out! ;)
Thanks for the reply! I'm glad that this card will be able to meet my expectations! Also, I was planning to get an athlon ii x3 450. Will this bottleneck the card? I chose this cpu since I wanted to wait for AMD's piledriver cpu lineup later this year. Don't wanna waste money! lol :D
Hello! The HD 7750 and 7770 are great graphics cards and have the right price. As far as I've seen the older HD 6850 and 6770 cards are more pricey than the newer ones. The HD 7770 cost only a few Dollars more than the HD 6850, but offers a little more performance and has a lower power consumption. So, in my opinion, the prices are okay! But of course you could wait a couple of months until you buy one of these! I hope I could help! ;)
@Nicolas11x12TECHX Well continue to try my best, caould you do a review on the Radeon HD 6850?? Its older yeah but more powerful than the 7000 series and would be an interesting review, thanks anyway for the info!!
i'm using this card for 1240x1024 gaming with my old small monitor...i can't say anything bad about this card...played bf3 and far cry 3 at ultra no AA/ 16xAF...absolutely beast for its price
What kind of MOBO are you using for the card? I see that your GPU is running at 16x 1.1, like mine but my PCI Express is 1.1, Is It really that bad compared to PCIE 3.0?
Those recomended/minimum wattages are usualy way higher than what could make the system run fine. Source: I am now running a 6870 & i5-3570 on a cheap 400 Watt PSU with no stability issues.
helo there! great review.. i just wanted to ask if this HD 7750 boost ups my fps performance specially when it comes to latest games.. i have 880gm-le mobo, amd athlon II X4 640, 8gb RAM, and a low end vcard of HD 5670.. im planning to upgrade my vcard bcause it really slows on fps, will this HD 7750 really boost the GPU performance? please Help!!!
Am i the only one having a problem with this card? Its weird, because I can run all my games on max settings. It will run smooth, but then randomly start skipping. I dont know what I did wrong for it to start doing that.
@sebascorrea97 The Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W PSU of course is the better choice in terms of power delivery and efficiency. But the Thermaltake TR2 1200W should be enough for your setup as well. It's all depending on how much you're willing to spend ;)
Quick question, im looking to buy a finished gamercomputer, mid range, preferibly not over 2000$ do you have a good system or a recomendation of were i can find a good system in that price range?
The recommended 400w PSU is an estimation by the manufacturer. The card only uses a max of 55w, so you really need at least a 300w 18a PSU for your CPU and the HD 7750 to be supported. I'm also getting this card for my birthday a month from today ^_^ Overloading the PSU will usually just kill the PSU, but it can damage other components as well. Upgrade to a 400w for ~$40 :)
do u know how many watts it uses, cuz i bought it and its on its way being shipped but i have an HP Pavilian Slimline wit 220w max power supply but they recommend 400w, so im hoping it can run with my current power supply
@Nicolas11x12TECHX Well, I guess you're right. It's not bad considering it has only tiny fan and a single slot heat dissipator. If I was buying a card today, I would buy this one for sure, although the price will drop under $100 in 3-4 weeks.
No problem, I'm glad I could help you out! Your resolution shouldn't be a problem for these two cards. Unfortunately I don't know how well it will do under Linux since I never really used it. ;)
Hey, it's great to see that a company thinks highly enough of your videos to supply you with products to review. Another nice one Nic -- keep it up!

No problem, I wouldn't mind. I'll try my best to help you!
Alright, hopefully it'll fit into your budget! No problem, I always try to help and I really appreciate your subscription! :)

@SwiftHDX No problem, always glad to help :)
I'm not sure. It could be a little tight and so I'd recommend the HD 7770 for that task. Hopefully this helped. :)
the 7750 can run on a 300w < psu with no 6pin connector. All it really needs is the x16 3.0 pce slot on the mobo
Love your reviews man, Im building a computer now, Do you have any experience with HD 6870 2 Gig? And would your recommend it?

nicolas! you are doing great job, keep up the good work man! =)
it would be awesome if you could do a comparison video of this video card and the hd 7850.

Thank you very much!
Thanks for letting us now! My favorite graphics card is the GTX 560 so far. Thank you, I appreciate it! :)
Thanks Nicolas! Love your vids! :)

Well, maybe I could do when I'm done with my current video schedule. :)
@4EverDubin Who knows, maybe, but maybe AMD will release their HD 7600 and HD 7500 Series card for the Trinity APUs.
@ultimatemtb Thank you very much, but unfortunately I have no experience with the HD 6870 cards, but I tested a GTX 560, which should deliver the same performance as a HD 6870.

Am I right in thinking these results are a bit lower than expected because you were recording?
Yes, it works!
@AlexDark1111 Yes, you can run this card on a PCIe 1.0 motherboard, but the bandwidth is limited and the performance will drop dramatically.
Great review! Now, my question is 2 of these or 1 7770?
Hello Mr.Nicolas which is better to buy HD6750 or HD7750?
Trying to figure this out myself, looking to run watchdogs + blacklist if I can.
@TeckHacker33 Thanks, unfortunately I can't review it, since I can't get it anymore. But you maybe will see a review on NVIDIA's new generation cards that perform equally to the HD 6850 or better.
@MixerGamingHD Thanks!
would you mind me sending you my budget computer build and telling me what you think, and checking if it is all compatible?
What cable do you mean?
I'll bet you could enjoy both on the 7750 but you'd probably find yourself wanting more.
I have a GPU at just about the same level and I generally enjoy it but some games seem unoptimized.
HI Nicolas,
I am about to buy the HD7750. Which one is better in terms of performance/overall, the Sapphire HD7750 or the Powecolor HD7750? I can't decide! Please help!
The Sapphire version would probably be a little better, but if you want a silent card this PowerColor beats the Sapphire version. I hope this could help you out! ;)
Ok. I'll try and put the athlon ii x4 640 in my build. Thanks for the advice Nick! I think you earned a subscriber for this one. lol :D
Thanks for the reply! I'm glad that this card will be able to meet my expectations! Also, I was planning to get an athlon ii x3 450. Will this bottleneck the card? I chose this cpu since I wanted to wait for AMD's piledriver cpu lineup later this year. Don't wanna waste money! lol :D
@sebascorrea97 I'd at least go for an 850W PSU. But it's depending on the rest of the components too. To be on the sure side I'd go for around 1000W.
Thank you! :)
thank you for this awesome review!
yup, avgs 28 at ultra settings at 1680x1050. So at 1366x768 you should get anywhere between 30+avg. Look at 5:15

Whats better the ASUS HD 7750 or the Sapphire version?
Do they have same performance and power consumption?
i just bought the 6750 ddr5, im guessing its similar to the 7750 ddr5?
Going to buy tomorrow!
Will it work on 290W power supply of Dell Optiplex 9020?
@Nicolas11x12TECHX Cool, cant wait!
I'm not surprised of the temperatures of your HD 7850. The HD 7750 is a Mid-Range card while your HD 7850 can already be considered as High-End. ;)
@feuchster Yes, I know. It supports CrossFire. I already added an annotation. Sorry for the wrong information.
@Nicolas11x12TECHX Well continue to try my best, caould you do a review on the Radeon HD 6850?? Its older yeah but more powerful than the 7000 series and would be an interesting review, thanks anyway for the info!!
is a 500 watt psu okay for this with an AMD fx-4100??
do you think this card can handle the next gen games?? like watch dogs in high setting???
@BarackMcBush Thank you! :D
i'm using this card for 1240x1024 gaming with my old small monitor...i can't say anything bad about this card...played bf3 and far cry 3 at ultra no AA/ 16xAF...absolutely beast for its price
thankyou verymuch my friend nicolas =]
Thx bro. So, this power handles hd 7770 card ?
(sorry for bad English :))
What kind of MOBO are you using for the card? I see that your GPU is running at 16x 1.1, like mine but my PCI Express is 1.1,
Is It really that bad compared to PCIE 3.0?
yip.. should work with any set up as psu should have enough reserved.
Ie like transfering data, burning dvd and running a game at the same time.
What would you recommend - this or the Nvidia GTX650?
yes through DVI-I to VGA adapter...
Thanks! ;)
My friend has a XP and he bought a AMD Radeon HD 7770...so why it is a problem?
Those recomended/minimum wattages are usualy way higher than what could make the system run fine.

Really!?!?! 2gb or this 1gb one? Also, is it the sapphire one or the normal one? A reply would be help me a hell of a lot!
Am i the only one having a problem with this card? Its weird, because I can run all my games on max settings. It will run smooth, but then randomly start skipping. I dont know what I did wrong for it to start doing that.
Wow, incredible video. you def know your stuff, keep it up! :)

@XxGRIZZWALDxX Unfortunately there are currently none out there.
What about a 250W one? Will it still work?

what's your current gpu??
Hey Nicolas What Is The Size Of The Card ???
But which is better Club 3D version or Sapphire?
hey man i thinking buy a video card but which would you recommend me?? this power color,, or this same hd 7750 in a gigabyte ??
@JCRFT it should be if your talking about it with this graphics card :)
No problem! ;)
memory only has an effect on multi-monitor displays
@allesbelegt Oops, I'm sorry for giving wrong information, thank you!
which one should i bring...asus hd 7750 or sapphire or power color
do u know how many watts it uses, cuz i bought it and its on its way being shipped but i have an HP Pavilian Slimline wit 220w max power supply but they recommend 400w, so im hoping it can run with my current power supply
Is the Sapphire more noisy because of its larger fan?
Hello,
Did you have any problems with hd 7750 with 220w power supply?
Because I want to buy one for my 250w system. Pls, help me.
@Nicolas11x12TECHX Well, I guess you're right. It's not bad considering it has only tiny fan and a single slot heat dissipator. If I was buying a card today, I would buy this one for sure, although the price will drop under $100 in 3-4 weeks.
