EPISODE 2: DAVID CONQUERS JERUSALEM - First Century Foundations TV Season 12

In this second episode of the “JERUSALEM: From Genesis to Jesus” series, TV Host, Jeff Futers (Executive Director of First Century Foundations) explores Jerusalem at the time of King David and learns how this significant city became Israel’s eternal capital. Joined by Archaeologist and Israel Tour Guide, Danny “the Digger” Herman, Jeff travels to the most ancient part of Jerusalem - the City of David - where he explores the water shaft David may have used to conquer the Jebusite fortress of Zion. Jeff then joins Danny on a quest for the archaeological remains of King David’s palace only to discover that there really is evidence to support the biblical narrative that King David captured the Canaanite Jebusite fortress, establishing Jerusalem as Israel’s eternal capital city.

In 1985 First Century Foundations (formerly ‘Operation Outreach’) was founded by Rev. Clyde and Marion Williamson and birthed out of prayer and a burning desire to bless the land and people of Israel through the love of God. Since then, the organization has grown to include teaching believers about the Hebraic roots of Christianity, expanding this message to digital media and reaching out to those who do not yet know Christ. In 2020, the vision was enlarged again and First Century Foundations USA was launched to bring the same challenge for prayer and blessing the land and people of Israel to partners in the United States.
