This may be too far down for you to ever read, but I feel compelled to comment (for the first time ever) because this episode made me cry just a little at the memories it brought back. I know the smell of that rig because that is exactly the rig that my great-grandparents drove for years and took us on countless trips over the years. It was avocado green inside and had undergone some ‘upgrades’ over time as my great-grandmother tended to continually be renovating something, lol. Although they are both gone now, I will forever cherish the memories we made with them in that Blue Bird. I am now working on convincing my husband to buy our first RV (aiming for a travel trailer) so that we can create our own memories with our two children and one day our grandchildren. Thank you for bringing joy to those of us lucky enough to have found you and I can’t wait to enjoy your latest adventure right along with you!
I wanted to thank you guys for inspiring me. I finally lost 30 pounds and I’m at my weight goal. This year I got rid of all the negative people in my life and spend more time with people that care about me and my family. As well I reach my financial goal for the year as well.
Some of the kindest words anyone can utter about someone else are, "the world is a better place for having you/him/her/them in it". Route 66 is a fun drive. It's especially cool that, when driving down the interstate, you can see the original tiny road people drove on back in the day. Seeing that tiny winding road, you realize they were some very patient people. lol Safe travels~
I saw that on the road the other day at Hilton head on the tow truck. I was admiring it driving past it. This is awesome I get to see who owns it and see a tour of it.
How GREAT Season 10 is going to be! It is phenomenal to have Missy and Bunny help make this happen. Well said, "the world is a better place because of Missy & Bunny". What a wonderful couple! KYD really hit it out of the park with this Premier. I cannot wait to continue the journey with you and your very positive, fun family. "Honored to carry the torch... privileged". It will be fun to see how much updating you do while respecting the original character of the Blue Bird. Is it next Sunday yet??
Cool RV. It’s also cool that the tow truck company that delivered y’all’s RV, Interstate Trucking, is owned by a man that I’ve known since he was about 4 years old. Me and his Dad are best friends and were Marine Corps Drill Instructors together at Parris Island in the mid-80’s.
Wow! What awesome ladies. The bus was a great find as well…. This just proves people can be so wonderful. God bless Missy and Bunny. The world IS A BETTER place with those two. Woohhoooo summer is in full gear!
Omg Love the new old Daydream bus. Y’all are awesome . You put a smile on my face when I watch. God bless . Be safe and welcome to South Carolina my home state.
Love, love, love your Bus! 1984 was a great year I was only 22 years old and having the time of my life! Also love those ladies, I don't think they would of allowed just anyone to buy their bus that took them so many wonderful places and made beautiful memories for them. Enjoy your Daydream can't wait to see more! ❤🚌❤

OMG...WE HAD A 1984 BLUE BIRD WANDERLODGE just like that!!!!!!!!!!! What a great trip down memory lane... Thank you!!! We began our RV adventures with a VW pop-up camper van, then an Airstream, next was the Blue Bird Wanderlodge, then back to an Airstream. In 2017 I bought my 3rd Airstream (my first new one) that I travel in with my Boston Terrier Charlie.

From someone who drove a school bus for five years in the eighties, this is going to be watching a dream come true, minus sixty to seventy screaming kids! But I'd love to know....what's next on the agenda for Missy and Bunny?
I was commenting to my hubby that in all our travels we have never seen a Bluebird. My father owned one in the early 80’s when I was in college. I was home the day he sold it and he asked me to follow him to drop it off to the new buyer. Watching the Bluebird drive away with the new owner was the 1st time I saw my father cry. He loved that bus, it just didn’t make sense for them at the time. I don’t remember what the interior looked like but I can’t wait to show this to my mom. She’s 92 now and loved spending the winters in Mexico in that rig. Enjoy your travels!
This bus is so cool! The colors made me think of the wood paneled trucks. We were in Myrtle Beach for the 4th. Then moved down to Charleston and went right pass Hilton Head as we headed to Savannah on the 8th. Our oldest son was visiting from Oregon. He was just diagnosed with bladder cancer in mid May. He had the tumor removed June 11th and is healing before treatments start in Aug. It's been 3 yrs since we had seen him & his family because of COVID. We just enjoyed eating and walking our way thru these beautiful old cities! I love that you like or even tried the boiled peanuts! I have told my hubby that him bring those home makes me happier that him bringing me flowers! Can't wait to follow your Journey in the Daydream! HUGS~Donna
That’s so cool to have Daydream in he front of the bus and KYD in the back. That fits in with you all. Hope you enjoy your new Rv. These ladies were really nice. Hope you have a great week. Safe travels.
I just can't say how much I love the new rig. That is phenomenal. The decals on the front and back are awesome. I love the old classics. I have a '97 Holiday Rambler. Since you are doing the Route 66 tour, when you are in the Springfield, MO area, I would love to come out meet you guys in person. Missy and Bunny are the best. I love their energy and their outlook on life. "Friends are the family you choose." How awesome is that??
Great choice. I was hoping it'd be an old school bus or a Kenworth RV! That bus is super cool. We'll expecting ya'll to change your wardrobe to vibrant neon 80's clothes from now on, and run with the 80's background music for the rest of season 10!! lol Best of luck with the bus, I hope you get zero problems with it.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for sharing your experience and motivation. Instead of waiting for the perfect time and RV, we just took your advice and did it! Renovations already 1/4 in and we project to be on our first RV trip in 5 months. Looking forward to this seasons adventures!
This is A-mazing! How exciting! Love Bunny & Missy & their home:) Sure looks like they took good care of that beast. Kudos to whoever did the upholstery job! One of the first things I noticed. Probably because I've been in the business for 39 years. Can't wait for this summers journey!!! Happy safe travels:)
We'll be staying there all week next week, we were there for a weekend back in February and enjoyed it so much we had to book a full week! It's only a 4 hour ride for us, we live in upstate SC. Wish we could've been there when you guys came through. I found your page last year when we first bought our travel trailer and was doing all the research I could on beginners videos and loved all of yours!
What a great video! We too are first time Motorhome owners this year! 2016 Tiffin so nowhere as classy as the Bird! We had a very similar experience the the could we purchased our MH from. Health problems made it unable for them to travel anymore and when we met them we became family right away! You know you have a great purchase in hand when there are tears shed because it is going to a "good home"! Hope to see you on the road somewhere in the world! Safe travels!
Very cool! Been driving a school bus for years and about to retire and the wife and I bought a midsize bus (30’) and are converting it into our RV. See ya on down the road!
As a long time BlueBird Wonderlodge owner, I am happy to see you get an oldie but goodie Bird. Bluebird motor homes are no longer being produced in Fort valley, Ga. I believe they still make school buses as they were made by a separate part of the BlueBird company. The former plant had a wonderful free for all BlueBirds camp ground in Fort Valley, Ga. and most all BlueBird owners would go there several times a year and once a year, we all looked forward to the BlueBird Rally in the Valley each year in Perry, Georgia. There are a couple groups of vintage Bluebirds that you should consider joining to share repair and update information. I watched your clip picking up your Bird. Every bluebird camper had the music box with external speakers with 30 to 100 plus programmed songs and during rallies, we would all be playing our tunes at the rallies. We used the songs to announce our arrival at parks or locations where other birds were staying so they could come out to meet us. My last BlueBird was a 1996 42’ Detroit Series 60 rear pusher. I sold my Bird, bought a 2006 Prevost 45’ coach but recently sold that and bought a ¾ ton truck and a Lance camper trailer so I could get into all the state and county parks that I Could not do in a 45’ coach pulling a toad. Good luck with your old Bird. They are well made and parts are not too hard to get with the right connections. PS. You might consider a waterproof 100 watt Police PA speaker to hook up to your music tune player. John in NC
This is the way every RV purchase should be. What beautiful people, Missy & Bunny. Wow....they just loved their bus and they were grateful to see it go to another grateful.....appreciative family. Great video.
OH... I'm so excited about this season,!!! We hit the road full time this coming weekend. Hope to see you out there. And I want to be friends with Missy and Bunny!
Congratulations and what a wonderful new friendship with Missy and Bunny! Way to carry the torch! Missy and Bunny kept immaculate records and the Wanderlust in amazing condition. The world is a better place with people like Missy, Bunny, Marc, Trish, Caleb, Tori, Carson and Charlie. We love your RV community family too. Like you,.. we have met some really fabulous people on the road in our RV. xoxoxo safe travels and bring on Route 66 !
Got to admit at first I was like “ what in the world did you do ? help me understand !!?? “ But after seeing the ashtray and blender I said dam right you made the right decision !!
You’ll have to see if Mount Pleasant, Iowa is on the list of where parts were built…that’s where I live and we had a Bluebird plant for many years. I’m so excited for you!! 🚍 Enjoy!
YES!!! I love love love the "Bird!" This is, without a doubt, the best of the best! I will be looking for y'all on the highways, hoping to see you and get a big ol' airhorn honk! Can't wait for the next video!
All I can say is "WOW!" I cannot seem to keep up with the number of RV's that you have had since you started your channel. I'm on my second trailer since 1988, and it is 18 years old and has traveled from coast to coast and Alaska. I am going to see how long it will be before you get another. Have a wonderful Summer To Remember.
Was super cool to get to see the new rig up close on Saturday at the speedway. You guys are such an inspiration to my wife and me as we started our journey this year after two or three years of watching your adventures. God bless you guys!
I've only seen a few wanderlodeges at campsites through the years, but each time I had to stop and stare. Great choice, can't wait to see all of the miles of smiles!
Wanderlodges are good machines for sure!! I'm looking for a decent one myself. You sat in the drivers seat and said Wow!! It's so wide? that Wanderlodge isn't even a wide body Wanderlodge. You will do just fine.
That's one amazing RV. My favourite part is the Route 66 upholstery. Is that what came with it originally? Have fun driving it. I drive tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and buses, so there will be a learning curve, but it's just a matter of getting used to it, like you said. Keep up the good work!
Brilliant shooting, great editing, but the soul in your content is what kicks it over the top. The endless positivity and joy lifts my spirits. Thank you for everything you do!!
Love your Wanderlodge! How perfect for you! God connected you to those 2 wonderful women, and what a great friendship you all have Congratulations! This will be amazing!
I've watched you from the very first video and this is hands down the most entertaining episode you have ever done. Congrats on the new rig and on the excellent job.

She’s 92 now and loved spending the winters in Mexico in that rig. Enjoy your travels!
We love the vintage bus! Good for you, have fun with it - Rick and D
All I can say is WOW, incredible find. Congratulations. Kudo's to Missy and Bunny for taking such good care of it.
This has to be the coolest Blue Bird out there. The custom KYD on back and Daydream up front is on point. Congratulations Marc and Trish😍
Never saw the 4th of July fireworks until now... (Canadian EH) enjoyed the journey of watching them with you... The smiles ... ! Looking forward to the new season with KYD Bird... and looking forward to hearing the horn! Bust out the horn Marc... We all know your dyeing to hit that switch !
I can't tell you how much I look forward to the new videos each Sunday and this one didn't disappoint. This is by far my favorite rig you have owned. Super fun!!! Can't wait to see the adventures you go on this season. I hope Charlie gets used to it quickly :)
Omg, Yes! Congratulations!!! Hello from Miami! We just got our RV… it’s always been our dream and we finally got it. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for sharing your experience and motivation. Instead of waiting for the perfect time and RV, we just took your advice and did it! Renovations already 1/4 in and we project to be on our first RV trip in 5 months. Looking forward to this seasons adventures!
LOVE IT! 😍 This is a fantastic episode. I was grinning so big the whole time! 😃 (still am lol) Can’t wait to see the rest of this season. KYD!
So happy for you. We hope we pass Daydream somewhere someday as we are living our dream too.
I'm so excited!!! A bus AND route 66! You all are making my daydreams come true!! I would love to be going along with you...
Great episode, why am I now singing the Partridge Family theme song?:)
Too funny! :-)
😂
What a great rig! My friend and I both turned 66 this year and we're planning on traveling route 66. Can't wait!
This biggest "win" is that it's pre-DEF! :)
LOVE the Bird Bus! What an adventure we’re going to share with you along RT 66! Thank you for letting us live vicariously through you!
Very cool! Been driving a school bus for years and about to retire and the wife and I bought a midsize bus (30’) and are converting it into our RV. See ya on down the road!
I just retired driving a school bus for 20 years and trying to talk my husband into building a schoolie!
@@lisabergman3779 Good luck to you! It’s been very rewarding for us.

Thanks for the info!
OMG!!!!!! This is awesome!! I can't wait to see your adventures this season!
This is my favorite episode ever.
That is badass!!! Congratulations on your new rig and I look forward to seeing your travels in this big lady! So cool
Taking KYD to a whole new level, love it!! 🤣🤣
Was super cool to get to see the new rig up close on Saturday at the speedway. You guys are such an inspiration to my wife and me as we started our journey this year after two or three years of watching your adventures. God bless you guys!
Marc’s number 1 button being the air horn made me laugh.
One of my favorite videos! Missy and Bunny are the best! I love how you're always trying new things.
You have no idea how stoked I am that you all are doing bus life! So cool, now you have to attend skooliepalooza 😀🚌
That RV is Awesome and what is even better that your 16 year old son loves RV life and outdoors more then a phone!!!
I was an RV tech in the 80's (before it was cool). Bought back a lot of memories. Have fun, be safe.
Good for you all. Seems like a perfect fit. We are going to have fun coming along. Thanks.
Ah we were in Hilton Head that week! Shelter Cove was a mad house, that secret connection looked like the sweet spot to be.
Saw that the video was over 30 minutes and got excited ! Ok now I need to finish
Brilliant shooting, great editing, but the soul in your content is what kicks it over the top. The endless positivity and joy lifts my spirits. Thank you for everything you do!!
Now this is cool I’m a great admirer of the bluebird wanderlodge
Love your Wanderlodge! How perfect for you! God connected you to those 2 wonderful women, and what a great friendship you all have Congratulations! This will be amazing!
I've watched you from the very first video and this is hands down the most entertaining episode you have ever done. Congrats on the new rig and on the excellent job.
We live in SC. I love that you have connected with good people here! Call me crazy, I just don't like boiled peanuts though. 🤢 I also really love this bus!!
