Basque is such a unique language and one of the only ones indigenous in Europe and completely disconnected from any other known language family, very mystical, fits this song!
Thank you so much! We speak Basque everyday (it's our mother language) and seeing some of our cultural signs in "Agatha" like the word "Akelarre" has been an emotional thing for us. A lot of our ancestors were burnt by the Inquisition some centuries ago - accused of being witches - and our native language has been prosecuted in the past at both sides of the frontier. But our people have survived.
I never realized how much Basque sounds like Latin. Yet not. I'd be curious to learn the history of the language. It's truly haunting hearing this song sung in Basque.
I feel like REAL WITCHES sing this song when i here this Basque version😌😌😌😌😌❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️But, despite it's beauty I wish they could sang the sacred chant version of it to feel the eerie beauty of the song..
Moi certo.
Aguuur!
Hi! We will put them translated in this comment today (we are translating them to English). Thank you for your interest, we have seen it could be interesting to put them also in the description of the video. Thanks again for the idea!

In English: In the dark forest, under the hermitage, we always walk the same path. Death in our hands, in the initiatory night, in the light of the dead if the sun were to go away. Night night, black night, the path of the witches. Blood and bones, the flames of the ancestors. Through the treacherous paths, zigzag. Over all the brambles, straight and crooked. Under all the clouds, wandering. Accept your fears and take them out. Night night, black night, the path of the witches, come friend to the darkness.
Basque is one of the oldest living languages, and it could be a direct descendant of the language spoken by the inhabitants of the Altamira caves 15,000 years ago. It is spoken in the Basque Country, Spain, and has no relation to Romance languages nor common roots with other languages in the world.

Muchas gracias!!
