    I’ve been enjoying catching up on all of your videos. I’d love for you to interview your mom. You’ve mentioned she’s who taught you to knit and I’m guessing an inspiration. 🧶

    i love the funeral pieces and the cartoon character uniforms 😂 i use stitch markers to track my rows of stockinette, i started marking every 5th row and now i mark every 10! it’s a lot easier to keep track and doesn’t require me to mark the row immediately after i finish it. hope this makes sense lol

    I'm a mom of twins and they are my only kids, and I get asked all the time what's it like to be a mom of twins! I also get asked about fun twin stories I have and how I can tell them apart, they are identical. I always say that being a mom of twins is all I know and don't know any different!! ❤

    That was highly enjoyable. I find it easier to distinguish you two after some regular viewing. Your knits are beautiful and I have discovered new designers from watching. It's nice to meet your cat. Thank you for posting.

    Best handworked items to show on your funeral. What a great idea! Such an enjoyable episode. I am currently knitting the "Rayure" sweater in alternating stripes of fingering and lace weight yarn in the same colour.

    I enjoyed your comments about your knitting bags and what’s in them. I too have a random collection of bags I’ve saved over the years- nothing special but they all can hold knitting! No special markers for me either- I too prioritize purchasing yarn! Love the notebook too- I like pencil and paper and have no interest in any of the knitting apps.

    Always love your knits. And they seem to always be so beautifully blocked (maybe you should do a demo!). I feel like I have a lot of wips but they are all on the downhill slide. A pair of boring socks for my dad, the Ilha sweater in Debbie Bliss pure silk, the Tanaka in Malabrigo Mecha bulky, the Caroline shawl, and the Maja cardigan. I can’t wait to cast on the Ester jacket and the Golden Sand shawl!

    I can’t count either. I have part of an old necklace chain with large links on a lightbulb stitch marker and I notch it along a link every time I knit a row. I add another stitch marker to count the tens if needed. Because I have it at the BOR or swap it to the end of every row if knitting flat, I have to handle it each time I finish a round or row. That means I don’t forget. It’s pretty foolproof and the only thing that works for me.

    Always enjoy watching your podcast, love your beautiful knits! After watching one of your earlier podcasts, I am knitting the Kelly sweater with the suggested yarn from Sandnes Garn. I am doing the 1x1 rib on Jessica’s suggestion! No split hem either…I do love the yarn, it blocks out so beautiful and soft! A perfect lightweight knit😊

    Hi Rachel and Jessica! It was fun to hang out with you. 😀I loved hearing about your top 3 knits and twin stories. I am knitting the DRK Everyday Sweater in Rowan Alpaca Soft DK. I am super sensitive to wool. I thought this yarn would be okay but just tried it on and it was itchy.😢I will continue though and hope that it softens up with washing.

    Hello there! Your podcast is one of my absolute favorites to listen to and I just I love your aesthetic and style. I would say that I’m an intermediate level knitter, and so I still have a lot to learn. One of the biggest questions I have right now as I start to build my wardrobe is how do you store all of your many knits? Do you hang them up, or do you store them away in bags to keep them safe from overstretching and moths? Do you wash them frequently, and if so, do your just hand wash them in a tub? I am always curious about where people put their knits and how they handle them as I think they are so much more precious than store bought clothes…

    I can relate to people coming up to me confidently like they knew me. When I was teaching elementary school, parents would come up to me when I was out running errands. On Back to School night, I met 60 parents or more, and stood up at the front of the auditorium at the start of the night, so hundreds of parents knew me by name. They only met maybe one new teacher that night, so they remembered me. I would just greet them cordially, but sometimes have no idea who they were.

    What a lovely video. Thanks for sharing some of your life with us and definitely your knitting, which is beautiful.
    I am about a 3 WIP max, too. I currently have on the needles a pair of vanilla socks, a Felix Cardigan and the Papillon Shawl. I do have a 4th WIP, but it is a very long term scrappy blanket - the Sweet Shop Blanket by Laura Penrose, which I only knit on it at night before bed. So I don’t really count it 😊
    Take care!!

  • @ladyjacquiehawey5191
    @ladyjacquiehawey5191 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Hi! I'm an identical twin and there is another way to find out if you are identical or fraternal. It relies on your mom's memory from your birth. If there was only one placenta you are identical. Two placentas = fraternal. Maybe your mom remembers and can tell you.

    • @thosetwinswhoknit
      @thosetwinswhoknit  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh that is good to know! We asked our mom and she is confident there was only one, so the signs are pointing to us being identical in that case!

    • @ladyjacquiehawey5191
      @ladyjacquiehawey5191 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thosetwinswhoknit Well, you really do look identical and you're mom would remember if she had passed 2 placentas 😁. My sister and I find that we go in phases of looking like each other, so maybe you're in the phase of looking a little less like each other and will swing back to being almost exactly the same.

    • @nataliealexander7457
      @nataliealexander7457 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My younger sister found out that there are two placenta in 1/3 of identical twins. Depends on how early the dividing happens. Identicals are always different, yet somewhat also similar people.

    • @nataliealexander7457
      @nataliealexander7457 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If there is one placenta, it is identical, but it doesn't work in reverse.

  •  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You are definitely identical twins. I' know a lot of paternal twins, and they never look alike. Even identical twins have differences in looks and personalities. You made me laugh about having a cat and yarn and are ready for retirement. It's great!
