- Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat shocked the Milwaukee Bucks by eliminating the No. 1 seed in five games with a 128-126 win on the road. Butler hit a mid-air catch and release inbounds pass to force overtime. He finished with 42 points and the Heat become just the sixth No. 8 seed to upset a No. 1 seed in NBA history. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe share the biggest reason Miami pulled off the shocking upset.

Beating the #1 seed is one thing but performing at this level against the top defensive team, including dealing with their own team's injuries is what makes this series stand out from the rest. The Heat had 17 free throw attempts compared to the Buck's 45 attempts. Miami deserved this
This is the only reason why the bucks won the finals. They literally hand the Greek freak so many free throws, and always whistle for him. Last night the rest were really trying to hand it to him by Jimmy Butler change the narrative.

EriK Spoelstra is one of the best coaches of the last decade. His game plan in the final minutes of regulation was amazing. Had Bam run point dropping dimes, Bucks was lost.

@@808Castro long story short, this was back in the day when there were some officials doing shady business such as allegedly rigging games by calling a lot of fouls: a lot of which were questionable. This led to teams having inflated FTs numbers. It was obvious in the Mavs vs Heat matchup more than ever. You would have phantom fouls where no one would touch a Heat player and a foul would be called lol. Game 5 was the worst of them all when the Heat had almost 50FTs. It also didn’t help that Tim Donaghy (an official at the time who was caught betting on games) blatantly talked about the bs going on in that series.

1) they had Giannis on the inbound
2) Nick Nurse and the Raptors started the wall defense in 2019

Robinson is shooting the 3 better than anyone in the NBA right now and teams have to respect him which opens things up for others. I have never seen a team like the Bucks who dominate the regular season and then collapse against the Heat who don’t have Herro and Oladipo and had Butler dominate the whole series. They beat Giannis in 2017 too. Granted it was Lowry/Derozan
Giannis was still emerging in 17 so we can cut him slack there and the Bucks weren't the same team. But 19, 20 and this year the Heat and Raptors used the same tactics on MVP Giannis and it worked. This year being the worst because his team won without him,had the best seed, best defense, had 30pt games from teammates and you still lose because Jimmy carried the offense and you couldn't hold leads. Bucks should be tied minimum right now but they got gentleman swept smh. Credit to Miami team defense though. Jimmy will get most of the credit and deservedly so but the rest of the team turned up defensively all series

It's been in my head last night and this Morning. IDC what anyone says. Last night was nothing short of an indictment on Giannis vs. why I've always had Mad Love for Jimmy Buckets. I tipped my hat to Giannis for leading his Team to a Championship. I even acknowledged that he's seemingly the Best Player presently even with all of his Flaws, but you know that I've never been a Stats only kind of Guy. I held back on showering AD, Blake Griffin, Kyrie, or others with great praise. I'm Huge about Mentality as well. I'm not bein' reactionary. He's still a Top 5 Player, but I see serious holes in his Game like Russell Westbrook. It's tough to properly criticize very productive players. I do my best to be as Objective as possible. Jimmy doesn't always show up, but when it matters the most I can bank on the Eye of the Tiger.

Pretty sure Heat had battles with Bucks before Raptors title and after. Heat wanted to sign Giannis if he hit free agency. They scout him a lot and Butler seems to have a personal grudge with some of the Bucks other players like Lopez and Jrue.
I blame the bucks coaching. I dont know what Spolestra was doing but the heat were getting so many look and on defense it seemed they Brough in extra players to triple Giannis because they were so defending every three the bucks tried.
