Hello, I just find a old k1000 who was to my grandfather. I changed the battery, and my light meter don’t change position when I change the shutter speed, with iris yes. You Aldready saw that? Thanks!
@@robby969 Right now it's just a tripod pointing down, I kind of had a work space and then set the camera up so it's not as optimized as I'd like it but it's better than nothing. Alec Soth has a pretty good video goin over the setup he uses, which might work better.
dude, i have no idea why people do this. That camera is worth about $40-50. This repair probably cost $350+ dollars. What the hell are people thinking.
I appreciate the comment and while I agree the K1000 should only cost about $50 they are selling for a lot more and while some shops may charge about that much for repairs my standard repair fee is $65. I charged a little more for this given the parts needed to complete the repair but I'm pretty sure it was still under $150. They are good cameras though and well worth the cost of repair I think but again I am biased.
Having just taken apart a K1000 with the film counter plate you described I would happily have that conversation with you! They are a nightmare!!
Love your videos. Especially your chaotic desktop but my OCD would struggle with the risk of mixing up all those screws!
Thanks for the repair and the video, Alex! So far so good with this camera. :) I just shoot really slow so I have yet to finish a roll
Thank you for your business and absolutely top notch wrapping job by the way! Enjoy the camera
Nice job there👍

Can you use the Prism our of an Asahi K1000 to replace the Prism in a China built K1000? Evelyn
Hi. What was the bottle of ‘poison’ that you used in place of flux for soldering to steel?
do you do shutter replacements, and if so how much??
Shoot me an email rompingbroncosales@gmail.com
Thanks for the video! Could you share your overhead camera set up?
Thanks for watching!
Right now I'm just using a Canon EOS M6 with the kit 15-45mm lens. It works for now but I'm hoping to upgrade in the near future.
@@RompingBronco What about your mounting system to get the overhead shots? Building a work station and exploring options
