We're rooting for this game. And I am one of those people that will continue supporting it, come what may. Undeniable that the flood of updates since release has been more than significant.
Big nice! While they're not particularly sexy for a mash up video, I do think the biggest changes from a user experience perspective is improvements to the UI made shortly after release. MAPI, ownership separation from buildings, and power blocks have all massively changed meta though.
In case anyone is curious. The teas mentioned are: Earl Grey - 1.1 Hot Cinnamon Spice - 1.2 Thé à la menthe - 1.3. This is Maghrebi mint tea or green tea with mint. Irish Breakfast - 1.4 Chimarrão - 1.5 ; though google tells me this is more known as Mate which is its own thing. Black Currant - 1.6 Kahwah - 1.7 ; google is telling me this is green tea with saffron and/or other spices of south and central asia.
@@jackmeoff6745 tbf, when we look to the updates since release, it's realistic to believe the game will be constantly better. I Feel like the investment right mechanic should be free as well as then game would be more polished for newer players who want to economic dominate while not making the SOI DLC lacking as the main more detailed power bloc mechanic is still behind a pay wall for those who like to go deep explore into the game. A slight complain but always happy to see the game grow!
I can’t believe it’s been 2 years. The game has come so far since then! Love this game to bits, you have truly made an experience that cannot be found anywhere else.
This game has been exceptional the last year for an average gamer, even without a single DLC. Developing these games requires a significant investment of both time and money. Without proper funding, it's simply not feasible to achieve everything. There seems to be an expectation from some quarters for either free development or a mere iteration of an existing game, like an VIC 3 built upon the framework of VIC 2. But the later would not give us that new core as a foundation for the next generation game to be developed over the next 10 years.
Vic 3 has come such a long way. There's still a long way to go, of course. But it's crazy thinking back that I fell in love with a 1.0 that was missing so many features I'd consider integral now. And the game has only gotten better each time.
The way i see it... total cost with all dlc, divide by total hours = about 5 cents per hour. Far better value than any other leisure activity i can think of 😂
Just make war more interactive and work on MP stability and game optimization, and the game willbe actually good. Now it's not bad, but not really good either, and the war system is what handicapping it, and you know that since day 0. So to resume, as other people have said before me: Fix war.
The ego stroke is crazy, since we are going through things, shall we go through all the failures Paradox has had in these 2 years as well? no? just checking
This game will age like fine wine, despite the fact that the start was rough, with updates and more mechanics and depth added this will be a beautiful game for realistic geo political strategy
I recently reached the 500 hour mark. The game might have its issues, but it also has so, SO many qualities. I keep coming back to it. Looking forward to the next 2 years and the next 500 hours!
I've enjoyed it, keep up the great work. I'm more excited to hear about the next major DLC and the road ahead. I'm hoping a little more army involvement to get some of my friends out of europa and hoi and play some vicky.
Its been two years and yet you still haven't managed to get a 1.0 version. The state this game released was criminal, every update you did so far should have been in the release build....
2 years of public feedback yet warfare is still utterly broken. "free uptdates" consisting mostly of fixes for outright shitty mechanics or addition of mechanics that lack in the first place. seriously this game will never be a top pdx game unless you guys QUICKLY FIX THE WARFARE

@@jordondaniels9276 government construction is still a thing, sorry bad choice of words, they removed the setting that the money from the investment pool gets used for the stuff you're building, and now it's instead forced to be used for random things
@@jordondaniels9276 This will depend on the economic laws of your country. If you have interventionism, you can build the steel mill and then own those levels of the steel mills (shown at the bottom) alongside others who have constructed steel mills in that state and enjoy the dividends paid to your treasury from the profit that the owned levels of the steel mill produces (minus the dividend efficiency which essentially simulate corruption). However, you can also choose to click the "privatise" icon for the buildings, sell them off and be paid a compensation for the building levels, meaning that the buyers (financial districts or manor houses) now get to reap the dividends instead. If you have laissez-faire law instead, the buildings that you build (steel mills in this instance) get instantly privatized and sold the moment you build them, essentially representing governmental "subsidy" for construction. Alternatively, you can just let your capitalists build it themselves using the investment pool money from the financial districts and manor houses.

This is a PR move to aliviate the "Early Access" stereotype.

I 100% agree with Vancouver Island getting it's own section. Such a small but important addition to the game.
I wonder how many years will pass till we finally get the "warfare hasn't been that good, right? here's what we'll do about it!" dev diary.
I'm looking forward to many more updates!
Great job with all those updates so far!
Stuff that shouldve been in at the Release got added for free over 2 years? how generous.
The way i see it... total cost with all dlc, divide by total hours = about 5 cents per hour. Far better value than any other leisure activity i can think of 😂
It's just sad that you have to be proud of that many updates of a so raw released game
Looks good, but I will buy the game only when the Warfare system has been properly done. It’s not convincing at all for me as it is no
most of this features should be in the game from the start !!! it's insulting that paradox boasts about adding them.

2 years , and i still regret the purchase

To be fair, it's a miracle Victoria 3 didn't get Imperator'd in 2023. Paradox expanded too quickly during the pandemic.

Shouldve been at the game start anyhow
Its still missing a deportation mechanic
Why is the comment section so positive? I'm not used to this

So many changes and upgrades yet still feels like an early access game.
