Having everything laid out in a single video makes me just now realise how much of the content you've produced for this game update. Nine whole minutes of pure information is bliss to my ears!

@@Victoria3Official Better tell me, why was brigade management cut out of the game and, in fact, the brigades removed from the map? Why is there such an arcade marine system in the game? Don't you think it would be a good idea to discuss such edits with the community before cutting from the shoulder?
Very promising update and DLC. I hope the new ownership system allows for more in depth financial systems in the future, like foreign and private debt between pops and pops & nations. A 'Repay debt' causus belli could make the diplomatic, economic and political game much more interesting.
Yes, having rich countries' pops buying foreign debt to earn a hefty extra would be amazing. And would encourage you not to destroy some countries as their debt would be fueling your pops demands.
@@aaronhpa exactly! I really feel like debt should play a bigger role in the core economic loop, especially when you consider it's role during the period! In the same way they own buildings, pops could be able to buy and own shares of the investment pool funds (which could be renamed to something more appropriate) that then could be borrowed by both pops and governments, national or foreign. That would add a whole new dimension to diplomacy. A foreign government defaulting on it's debt could cripple your economy, prompting you to either adopt an agressive diplomatic stance to protect the interests of your capitalists and aristocrats, or dealing with the economical and political consequences of inaction, such as an economic recession, civil unrest, insurrections, etc. What a dream!! Considering they liked my comment, maybe they're working on something along those lines hahah 👀👀 I hope
@@AntonioZL it would be also interesting how they adaption of debt, historically nations usually inherited debt, in exchange for prestige and having a easier time with managing the new areas(it would be really awesome if a popup happened where if you annex a nation, you can take their debt to gain some prestige and them less rebellious?)
OMG the visual feedback about supply chains might be obvious in concept (obviously an urban center needs glass) but it’s such godsend to me. I’m so excited for this patch.

I like the direction the game is going. Must include automated trade option in the next update, there is a mod, but it should be official. Even options to click and the game sets the trade routes that are profitable.

Stepping in the right direction. Now PLEASE add Great Wars and more and more historical events. The coronation of Queen Victoria should be a world event similar to Vicky 2. I would even like to suggest a Newspaper game mechanic to list off important things to the player or players.
I don't see how Great Wars need a special mechanic. They happen organically, as the game goes on. Alliances form, bigger wars start, the development of trench warfare and machine guns naturally leads to the grinding reality of WW1. I don't see why Great Wars actually need to be a thing. I would appreciate a dynamic war naming system, though, and you could just have big enough wars named like they were in Vic2, but it's really not all that necessary.
This update looks so so good! I'm so excited to play Sphere of Influence and try out it's features. I'm hoping for a DLC that gives flavor for the US and/or Japan next!

Please add a market tab that is DOMESTIC production and supply, aka your own output and consumption within a market so we can actually see what we need for independent economies prior to declaring independence/ leaving markets
A lot of people dogged on Victoria 3 but this update specifically remedies a lot of my complaints. I love having a lot of diplomatic options so I’m big excited.
At 6:10 you should code the game to always order by highest to lowest whenever clicking on a data tab. You avoid having to click twice to see what you want.
I would argue you will want to see low profit / unprofitable buildings more. With profitable buildings, you just look at them and go... nice. There is no action to be taken. With low profit, you might want to look at it and try to fix it in some way.
@@M1Nt3Nk3RThis is true, having to click twice on the market to filter from surplus to deficits is annoying. Luckily it saves so you only have to click it twice when reloading the save.

this game has the biggest learning curve for me as someone who's played a lot of paradox games, none of my friends from previous games really play this one, I don't enjoy the financial management much, but I like that it's slowly becoming more about nation management, rather than colonial monopoly.
The ally choosing something to gain is a good change. I had allies leave the war pretty early when things were going well and out of no where the "compitulate" out of nowhere its understandable they gain nothing or lose nothing when the enemy demands nothing in return for them joining. maybe this ally choosing somethng in return would make them stay in the war longer for them to gain that demand.
This looks great! Well done. I would suggest maybe adding a law or some other way to mandate a certain percentage of worker ownership in a building in future updates. Adding a bit of extra purchasing power to your pops while still having access to private investors.
I love what you guys have been doing. Next thing should be an update to the colonisation system in my opinion. And more historical flavor and events, like the Berlin Conference.
It should become possible to get treaty ports without having to go to war, just as the German Empire had in China, since the treaty port was also profitable for China.
I'm very happy about new economy system. I can finally rp as an libertartarian neocolonialist or nationlize everything in my communist/statist playthrough!
I'm really hoping the in-game tutorial will be updated to have a few journal entries that focus on these new changes, especially with the foreign ownership.
Damn sounds like a great update/ expansion! The only thing that I could think of that could be added was possibly making a difference between aristocrats owning vs capitalists owning buildings. Esstentially deciding to take away buildings from aristocrats and giving it to capitalists or vice versa but still great job
Oh wow. The new features including the new ownership mechanic really makes the game feel more PDX and less gamey. I look forward to playing the new version! Now you should split the states into provinces, like you did in EU4. That would make border changes much more dynamic and would lead to less convoluted civil wars, such as in 1 state countries.
I've been DYING to be able to switch side in my subject's civil wars, the amount of times my liberal society has been forced to support my subject against a liberal revolt has been AWFUL
Hey Dev, I hope you could consider an idea of "splitting states" cassus belli. Because when i played as Iraq, I couldn't draw the modern border or Iraq and can only take an entire state. It's really bothers me because I can't draw straight lines on maps like the 19th century Europeans.
Wow amazing update. I am really excited for it and the DLC. I recently got into the game with some friends and we have mostly been playing multiplayer. So, I am curious if there are also fixed regarding issues like desyncing? Since, these have been quite frustrating at times disrupting an otherwise pretty good time.
dear devs. could u pls try to change the fact that batallions just tp away and mabey give a new diplo possibility to cross another country with military?
big needed change, once a front opens up the game makes it seem like bringing in all your troops to the front is easy. there should be a way to contest or delay the arrival of troops especially when you can have instances in the game where GPs can just bring 300k troops across oceans to fight in China without much losses.
