I just realized something about All In compared to all the other ALNST songs-nothing that warrants an entire essay, but still something I found quite interesting. While everyone else's songs are about love towards another person in some form, Hyuna's song seems to be more about self-love through fighting for freedom and taking control of one's life. And I think that's why Hyuna's the "rebel" while everyone else, even Luka who already won ALNST, is still trapped in it. While everyone focuses their love onto another person (which caused Till to stay for Mizi, and Ivan to stay for Till), Hyuna learned how to love *herself*, allowing her to escape from ALNST without any regrets or hesitation.
Mizi also “left” when Sua died. She didn’t leave physically, but mentally she no longer wanted to be in ALNST, which I think can be seen in Round 5. I think Hyuna and the rebels would show Mizi how to live for herself, and not for others.

Hyuna works wonderfully as Luka's juxtaposition. She seems to feel very strongly and has let herself feel those emotions (although I do think she was pushed to be that way due to the loss of her "brother"), whereas Luka overall doesn't seem to feel that all much due to his medicated condition (how much of it was his own will, we don't know yet) and has not allowed himself to let loose voluntarily (whenever he did feel a lot, it does not seem intentional). Also, it seems like Hyuna is trying to make Mizi her 2.0 version (in a well-intentioned way I think) and they do seem to get along; that being said I recall a pic on twitter that showed Hyuna and Mizi facing backwards from each other; I think there is going to be one crucial aspect that differs Hyuna and Mizi and might cause these two to split or argue.

Hyuna is exactly how I imagined her to be, someone with a really strong character and the literal definition of freedom and girlboss but I just LOVE the way they portrayed her weak side as well like the fear and complicated memories involving Luka.
i don't really think the term "girlboss" describes her tbh. it almost feels like it's dumbing her down in a way. she's not a girlboss, she's an incredibly tough person who instead of sticking with the status quo decided to rebel and become a leader. in other words: she's not a girlboss, she's a total badass edit: just realized this might come off as rude ;; hope it doesn't seem that way!

But then as it got used more in media it became more like “strong female lead”. And you think “ugh another female character who’s going to be totally awful”. When is reality a strong female lead is supposed to a powerful woman character who respects herself and others! so they are a strong female lead. But that’s not what you associate with the phrase anymore. Overall I think it comes down to your interpretation of the word, like how when some people hear feminist they think “someone who believes in the equity and equality of both genders, and fights for the equal rights of both/all genders” and someone else thinks “man hater”. I would in courage you to look at the word in a more positive light, but how you view it is up to you. And I don’t think your comment was rude! I thought it was a very civil way to discuss your opinion! When you wanted to share a clashing viewpoint, hope i didn’t seem rude either!
I screamed in excitement over Mizi’s haircutting. Short hair and a ribbed turtleneck is such a niche but attractive combo. The Alien Stage opening made me assume Hyuna would be something of a bitter landmine diva so it was an unexpected but welcomed surprise she’s really more lively and affectionate.
i’ll miss her long hair a lot, it made her look very pretty.. (im a sucker for pretty girls) though i think having her haircut is a good symbolism of her sorta cutting her ties to the alien stage
What I love is that we see the character with the most gentle and innocent face (Luka) do an unforgivable act as murder. The competitors do cause the deaths of their rivals, but they don't do it out of violence or anger. Mizi beat the lights out of Luka because he was making her uncomfortable, and she was already dealing with the loss of Sua. Hyuna isn't soft, she's bold and was amazing for saving Mizi, but she still is scared of Luka. It shows the power dynamics. Luka killed someone dear to Hyuna, theorized to be her brother, WHILE SMILING. He's the star of Alien Stage too. Despite the fact he was bothering Mizi, the viewers probably saw Mizi as this cruel, violent, monster who wanted to hurt their precious baby boy for the competition! Which makes Hyuna's rescue more impactful. She acted against the Alien Stage, she acted against LUKA, and not for the sake of revenge. At first glance, Hyuna looks like the stereotypical bad girl, but she's one of the sweetest characters in the series and a great aid for helping Mizi with her grief.
Luka didnt seem to do it i think? Look at his collar at that moment, it was red (extremely stressed or unstable) and his fingers turned into a purply color.
I got the sense that he likes the singer of this song and killed the other guy because they were too close, so he has an obsessive trait. He has glee about it until it for some reason turns his fingers blue (although could imply he’s getting drugged which would also tie into the extreme glee appearance). To be fair, eliminating opponents before they reach the stage is also clever to reduce contestants, especially if they’re clearly better at singing… but he was too excited for that.
@@mimikadebilaBeing stressed doesn't mean he didn't do it. He was also shown to have loomed over Hyuna, and she appeared very shocked/frozen: he defenitely did something bad to her. And even if killing the other guy in the next flashback wasn't his intention, smiling after that is not the response of an innocent person who killed by accident. He either wanted to kill, or when it happened was happy about it: eitherway big red flag.
During the video in which Mizi was saved, I wondered if they left Luka behind because he was a part of the team but operating in Alien Stage (like a spy of sorts). Was his horribly inappropriate behavior part of the plan, to cause distractions? Now it's clear: he behaved so horribly because he is that way. He's not a spy on the inside, they left him there because Hyuna had the choice and because of the horrible things he has done to her and others she fully decided to leave him there. Completely on Hyuna's side here! I hope she gets a good ending

In any other show I'd assume it was just stylistic, but with Hyuna's super dark sunglasses and Luka's blue fingertips, there's clearly some actual medical awareness going in to the character design. Edit: Rewatched Episode 0, and am now convinced it's 100% intentional leukocoria. Not from trauma though, as it's present in the very young Luka in Episode 0. I think it's from Norrie disease, a genetic condition that causes; Yellow/golden pupils (Check) Poor circulation in the hands and feet, that can lead to blue fingertips and toes especially during times of stress (Check) Developmental Issues (Check, Luka's sucking his thumb in the first flashback.) and *most interestingly,* Behavioral issues such as a lack of empathy *or the Pseudobulbar affect,* which is far more common than the former. What is the Pseudobulbar affect, you ask? It's more commonly referred to as "Involuntary emotional expression disorder." You know those people that laugh at funerals? Or break down sobbing during weddings? That can't help but *smile* when something's terrible is happening, even though they hate it too? yeah. Double check.
God I think you might be onto something...since their collars seem to reflect their emotional state (green, orange, red) and looking back at 2:10 Luka's collar is definitely red, not green or even orange like you'd think. Maybe part of the reason why he keeps the blank/detached 'doll' image is so that he doesn't do the 'wrong' expression when they're promoting
the creator mentioned on their patreon that his fingertips being purple/blue because he can control his heartbeat/bloodflow for singing better or something like that but your theory seems way plausible imo 😳interesting info

It's really interesting how the tips of Mizi's hair and Luka's fingers are all blue. Maybe the blue symbolizes the competition's influence? As the previous winner of the competition, Luka embodies the spirit of alien stage and from the start, his fingers have always been blue. Whereas for Mizi, after escaping from the competition, her hair gets cut off, severing her blue tips, possibly symbolizing her breaking free from the competition. It's really fun to think about. Everyone on the production team did an amazing job on this!
blue fingers are actually caused by a lack of oxygen in the bloodstream if I'm not mistaken, that's why is mentioned a lot that luka has a cardiac illness

All the lore I can make it is amazing so I might as well point so,w things out! 1. Hyuna clearly has a brother or sibling , which explains the community post that is a grave for Hyun Woo, her presumed sibling. Luka killed him knowing a messed up yandere way, giving us the reason why Hyuna hates Luka with such passion. 2. A dude featured in a community post holding a gvn to an alien was featured at one point, as well as a new character we have yet to know the name of! These seem to be the main cast for the rebels, imcludinh Mizi 3. Mizi has clearly changed a lot, from her caring, kind, obedient self, to a rebel who is becoming more and more rebellious and outgoing with all such missions. I love how when the hair was cut off, it’s as if it cuts off past memories as if to represent her steps forwards into a new life, but I really hope she doesn’t forget Sua 😭😭 4. The setting. It seems like the rebellion has an entire city, and they freely party and capture aliens that give funds to alien stags ,seemingly, for fun. If I missed any details feel free to let me know, bit I genuinely loved the character development, the emotions, and the whole thing itself! I don’t think I’m going to stop watching this until the next round comes out, which I am nervous for. Also we still can’t justify what Luka did until we see how his life was, but from what we can make it he might not even want to be the way he is. 2:08 notice how Luka's fingertips turn purple (his usual look) while he is in some kind of frenzy after the murder. Actually, Hyuna's expression on them makes me so confused but ok... There was a theory that Luka intentionally made Mizi attack him to make it easier for rebels to enter, meaning that Luka and Hyuna both planned this. But now it seems that as if he is always solving his problems like that, and Huyna is getting terrified only by thinking of him, but before the incident they seemed to be on good terms...
This totally changes the perception of Luka. He isn’t just competent and manipulative (which could also just be passed as competence in the context of the tournament). Bro is depraved. But it works even better in retrospect looking at round 5 and the rest of the story going forward.

SO much happened in this music video and im here for all of it!! The backstory between Hyuna and Luka is so intriguing. Once sweet childhood memories, is quickly turned dark and leaves you wondering what exactly happened to lead up to this, juxtaposed by the adventurous and hardcore antics of Hyuna and the rebel humans as Mizi goes along for the ride. Speaking of which, THE HAIR CUT HAD ME STUNNED not only does it look amazing on her but it really shows the growth of her character. No longer a child, sweet yet obedient and naive towards the cruelty of Alien Stage. Now it seems its foreshadowing an act of development for her, Sua's death a catalyst in realizing how truly awful this all is and making a stand against it Im enthralled endlessly by this series and cannot wait for the ivantill round!!! From the end of this video alone, its going to be a tearjerker ik it I also am just incredibly attracted to hyuna in every way

its cool to see how singing which is usually associated with imprisonment is now like a symbol of freedom coming from hyuna. Also I like how everyone in the resistance is dressed up so crazily that half their shit doesn't match but like all the AS contestants are dressed up pretty, it's a cool contrast.

the one thing i could think about while rewatching this masterpiece is... Till should be with the rebels. in their nature they're wild, chaotic and everthing Till was but the aliens broke him and his spirit completly. he could bloom so well with Hyuna and the others becasue freedom is his biggest character trait. Ivan tried to run away with him once but his love for Mizi made him turn back and return. and now Till is the broken one, while Ivan drowning in him, willing to do everthing for him, including destroying himself and his name. and Mizi is the rebalious one. amazing lore, vivinos.

I saw another comment saying that Luka tried to assault(?) Hyuna so she told the other boy (probably her brother). When he confronted Luka abt it, they got into a fight and Luka killed him.

Guys, I'm sorry For ruining your hopes, but I Probably if they try to do like Mizi and Sua it won't work, Ivan is literally in the top 3 and Till killed a low-class alien He has a tube in his neck that is probably an anesthetic to the point that you can see what his situation is like and he always appears full of bruises, probably the Aliens beat him after the competitions, as shown at the end of Round 2, it looks like they are beating him his head on the wall so the Aliens don't like him very much, he's considered a rebel for the aliens, if they try to do this even if Ivan doesn't sing he will win because he has sponsors it's like he is a "golden boy" the Aliens will vote for him So I think Till is the one who will die, but I hope the rebellion saves him. If it was Luka and Ivan, maybe it would work, but Till Even if they sing together the result will be the same what makes the winner is the audience and if the audience decides it's decided so sure if it goes to someone dies next Roud it will be Till but I didn't want to but unfortunately that's the reality And Till's popularity isn't for a good reason, he's popular because of his bad record.
OH MY GOOODDDD, the way Mizi breaks hyuna out of her trauma response seeing the luka picture by awakening to her own sense of free will? That is just such a good way for characters to work in tandum. That shot of her with the gun pointed at the camera was awesome.

이번 영상 과거회상 때 루카 손가락색이 2:07~2:11 때 빼고 정상이었어요. 루카 손가락색이 심박수를 낮춰주는 약물 때문에 생기는 부작용 같던데, 이번 영상을 통해 대충 2가지 가설을 세웠어요. 첫째는 원래 루카는 심박수를 낮추는 약을 복용하지 않았으나 현아랑 친한 아이(아마도 현우)를 현아랑 관련된 무슨 일로 죽이고 그걸 심지어 즐기고 흡족해해서 누군가가 루카의 감정을 죽이고 조절하기 위해 그 약물을 루카에게 몸에 투입했고 그때 손가락색이 처음으로 변해서 2:11때 놀람. 둘째, 루카는 예전부터 심박수를 낮추는 약물을 복용했으나 현아를 너무 좋아해서 현아와 함께 있는 순간들은 심박수가 정상화되서 손가락색이 정상이 된 건데 이걸 루카도 눈치채지 못해서 2:11에서 놀람. 근데 어떤 경우든 간에 현아가 루카의 ruler of heart인건 확정된 거 같아요.
My LONG interpretation of Hyuna x Luka relationship\dynamic: In my interpretation, before the murder of her brother, Hyuna and Luka had a thing going on. It started quite innocently, with Hyuna being an extrovert who made an effort to spend time with Luka, who was more reserved and isolated from other kids. I also believe that her brother and Luka weren't friends; they probably wouldn't interact if Hyuna wasn't there as a bridge, as we can see 1:17 how Hyuna is seated between them, reaching out to pat Luka's hair, while Luka's body language is closed off, and the brother is focused on having fun with Hyuna and discussing their dreams. At some point during their hangout sessions, I think Hyuna started developing romantic feelings for Luka. At 1:52 in the video, we briefly see things from Hyuna's perspective, where she touches Luka's curl or caresses his cheek with the back of her hand. Then, it cuts to her sweating and looking distraught, which I interpret as her feeling guilty for ever loving Luka in the 1st place and having that sweet memory of him despite everything that had happened (her brother's murder). This could also suggests that she still had lingering feelings for Luka. Which bring me to my next point, the kiss. While Hyuna might have been developing feelings for Luka, his obsession with her had reached alarming levels by then. Which makes sense, as she was the only one who showed genuine interest in him. My guess is that Luka interpreted Hyuna's interests in him as romantic from the start, because his lack of social interactions, and while there was maybe some truth to it, when he intiated the kiss, Hyuna wasnt there yet. Her feelings might have been more subconscious or not as strong, given her focus on her dreams, aspirations, and social life. Hence, her shocked and surprised expression when he tried to kiss her. I think the red dot on the collar could symbolize a disturbed state of mind or body (when they get hurt or die). After that, whether the kiss happened or not (maybe she stopped him in time), she rejected him. Hyuna, with her friendly easy-going nature, likely tried to play it off, but their relationship quickly became awkward regardless. This might led her to reduce the time she spent with him Intuitively. Luka, wounded by the initial rejection, spiraled further into despair as his only friendship deteriorated. This escalating situation fueled his jealousy towards her brother, who was the person closest to Hyuna. I believe Luka had always regarded her brother as a potential rival for Hyuna's affections, and this perception became even more pronounced after her rejection. So, he killed her brother. I believe it was premeditated and not just a result of a fight gone wrong, as some comments suggest. Luka is calculative, not physically strong, and determined to win over his competition. His plan was to make her brother trip backward and hit his head on a rock to kill him. I don't think he would have engaged in a physical fight unless he had the advantage of the rock placement. Luka was so depraved for Hyuna's attention by that point that he was thrilled when she looked at him at 2:01. This brings me to my final observation: Alien stage round 5. Luka's objective was to capture Hyuna's attention. He was well aware of Hyuna's close relationship with Mizi during their younger years, as evidenced by their current affectionate bond. Despite having a good chance of winning, Luka chose not to play fair in that round. His sole focus was on achieving victory at any cost, knowing that only by winning could he ensure Hyuna's intervention to save Mizi from impending danger. This determination becomes evident as Luka, battered and bruised, musters the strength to sit up and lock eyes with Hyuna. This moment parallels the scene where he gazes at her after she discovers his involvement in her brother's death, with him lying on the ground and her looking down on him. In my mind, Luka also smiles when Mizi starts attacking him because it signifies the success of his plan and the prospect of reuniting with Hyuna soon, in addition to his victory in the round. I also believe that if Hyuna truly 100% despised Luka, she could have shot him at the end of round 5 amidst the chaos, as he wouldn't have been able to escape and it would haven taken a second. However, she didn't, which confirms my earlier point about lingering feelings. While she didn't kill him, she didn't save him either. Her relationship with him is complex, a mix of resentment, trauma, guilt, and love. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE DRAMA!
Maybe 'Ruler of my heart' is related to both Mizi and Luka, the lines 'when our darkness overlaps' can suggest that in a way Luka lost his 'obsession' aka Hyuna, while Mizi lost freaking Sua..

So, like I said in my comment from the teaser, where Hyuna sings is indeed a kind of pub, or bar. That the rebels have. It seems like Hyuna was part of Anakt Garden, (maybe ALNST too but we haven't seen anything of it so I can't really tell.) And like we have seen in various posts and official art, Luka and Hyuna indeed knew each other as friends. (Or more?) I know people are gonna ship them due to the frame 1:57… that Luka seems to be VERY close to Hyuna. But judging by Hyuna's expression I don't think they ever had a romantic relationship. Just as friends in Anakt Garden. The child that is seen next to Hyuna is Hyun-Woo, possibly her little brother. (Due to how similar they are). And is the same child as the one who passed behind her in Sweet Dream. Hyun-Woo was Already known as dead due to a post some months ago, and now we know that he was killed by Luka. Possibly in a fight, and Luka smashed his head against a rock (2:04). The two guys that are seen with Hyuna are probably friends or comrades, as they have been seen fighting against the aliens too. By the lyrics of 1:56 "I'll create a fantasy in this crazy world." She could be referring to having joined (or created) the rebels, and giving a chance to the humans. Or she creating an own version of her world to not remember what happened to her brother. Because she seems very affected still. I also noticed that in 2:12 she lets her guard down bc of Luka's photo in 2:20. And she almost gets caught, but Mizi saves her. That's why she hates Luka so much. And that probably made her Sympathize with Mizi and rescue her. Specially bc she was Luka's Opponent. In 2:10, Luka's fingers start turning blue/purple. Becoming now characteristic of him. At 2:43 we see a guard writing in the dirt "help". So I think the rebels are much more stronger than we thought. They probably have killed a big part of the guards/aliens. And finally, we see how Hyuna and Mizi are going to the ALNST stadium/facility (?) where Ivan and Till are going to sing. So Hyuna and the rebels probably want to save the other contestants as well. IMPORTANT: This is ONLY a theory. I'm going to be analyzing the video and I'll probably have some things wrong, so don't take this as 100% true.
@@Omiriona Oh it's a good theory, I suppose the trigger for their breakup was the Alien Stage, each one decided to choose their own path and leave the other behind, Luka decided to be a star while Hyuna survived and joined the rebellion, there are many questions as to why Luka didn't accompany her. This reminds me of the case of Ivan and Till, Ivan wanted to escape with Till but Till didn't want to leave since I guess the reason was that he didn't want to leave Mizi since he loves her. I hope that Hyuna's 3 songs clarify a lot about the type of relationship she had with Luka and what happened in the previous Alien Stage 🥲
Hyuna and Mizi ending their ride back at the performance theatre is a good sign. Hopefully that means that Ivan's death flags can be broken and that they can save both Till and Ivan. This next duet has me ANXIOUS Also, not enough people praising Hyuna's ability to older-sis the heckin depression out of Mizi. Mizi has gone through so much at this point and she for the first time, ended in a happier space than she was going into a song
This song is so awesome aaaaaaa!! A detail I haven’t seen mentioned in the comments (at least from the superficial read I had) is the change of colors in the subtitles through different parts of the MV. So let me go over my personal interpretations! At first, we differentiate from two colors: Orange and purple. Orange matches the poster and imagery of “Love and Peace” teased in the community tab by Vivinos. In the video, it represents the rebellion Hyuna leads. If we look up color symbolism, common associations with the color orange are optimism, youth, warmth, enthusiasm…I even saw a page that said it served to express freedom, which I find extremely fitting. It’s less like a war, and more like the fight for the human values they hold so dear, even after all hope seems to be lost. They’re young, and they create their own hope. They don’t want despair, they don’t seek to just take out their resentment on the aliens…they’re looking to make things right. I find “love and peace” to be a perfect description of what this part wants to convey. Then there’s the purple. Following the same logic as before, this time we’d be seeing “Drunk and Party”. I don’t find a lot in color symbolism that personally strikes me as a good description for what it wants to convey…however, an interesting fact is that purple is the complementary color to yellow. This means that in the color wheel, they’re in opposite sides. I’ll elaborate on this later on, but if we think on yellow as Luka’s color, then I find it really fitting that purple is the color for a song that conveys a feeling of “shit is bad, but let’s clear our head, forget about everything, and have fun”. This interpretation would also explain why there’s not much going on during the purple parts of the song, just Hyuna singing and having the time of her life. It’s kind of a break from the intensity seen in literally everything else. Then, we arrive to the first time imagery and colors flicker. Purple and orange mix together, gun and hand. Just like in the “All-in” poster, which gives name to the MV. The meaning is quite literal, she’s “All-in”. Both songs are part of her and of what moves her. It really makes us feel Hyuna’s strong character. I saw someone mention she’s both “peak masculinity but peak femininity at the same time”…and I feel like that’s really fitting, because she could embody two completely opposite concepts, and still give it her all in each just with her confidence alone. This I feel is one of the main messages of the song, and I think it’s also what makes her be so attractive for so many people. We see all of this just within the first minute of the song. We could leave it there, and it’d already be amazing. But no! It doesn’t stop there. Because now we start with the parts of Hyuna not teased in the posters. A light blue is one of the most used colors in the song, and it’s used to represent her past. I saw another comment theorizing blue could be symbolism to Alien Stage’s influence on the participants. In which case, blue is the perfect color for this part. We begin seeing the less “girlboss” parts of Hyuna, the things that haunt her. And I think the fact they added this just makes her a stronger character…she isn’t just some rebellious girlboss for people to fawn over. She’s someone who was affected by the aliens just like everyone else and DESPITE THAT is a rebellious girlboss we can fawn over. She isn’t independent to all the suffering that’s come, and the fact that, despite that, she’s still able to convey both of the previous messages with such confidence is admirable. This last thing is kind of expressed to us when the lyrics first go from blue to orange. She’s come from that influence, to a symbol of rebellion. As soon as the blue appears, we begin seeing Luka appear in fragments of the song, fragments of different values Hyuna holds. We see how he’s a big part of the different things that make her be who she is, aside from the initial three first teased to us. “We only get one life, so I’m living mine for me Cuz I’m the one from your wildest dreams” The last lyrics flickers from drunk and party’s purple to yellow, followed by a image of Luka. This is where I elaborate on what I mentioned earlier: Luka is symbolized by yellow. Given the images, we can assume he was in love with Hyuna, and for it he committed a “yandere kill”, killing what many have assumed to be a sibling Hyuna had. This, very obviously, has affected her greatly, and it’s the reason why she resents him. Luka saw himself as “the one from Hyuna’s wildest dreams”. That idea must be something bitter to some extent for Hyuna, and yet she embraces it. She embraces living with confidence and staying true to herself. And I think here we can see the true meaning of the purple. She’s the complimentary part to Luka, she’s the opposite to all he represents- She’s able to clear her head, forget about her worries and have fun despite the mark Luka wanted to leave in her. But, beyond that, this part of the song has to be my favorite, because it’s when not only yellow, but other two colors appear suddenly, not to be used again. It’s the craziest part of the song, where we begin seeing more concepts and ideas clashing with each other, to then show what’s likely Hyuna’s most painful memory. The other two colors accompany the lyrics “I’ll create a fantasy in this crazy world”. Just like how Hyuna’s purple went to its complementary, Luka’s yellow, here we see what I believe to be Mizi’s pink going to a color pretty opposite in the color wheel, teal. This I believe to be related to the person Luka killed. From this I think we can conclude Mizi reminds Hyuna of this person to an extent, and that they embody different values in some way. If we look at it from Hyuna’s perspective (since in the end, the colors are different elements of Hyuna’s character), perhaps it could be something like “the one that I couldn’t save from Luka, and the one that I could save from him”. So we have two lyrics that go from “future” to “past”. Two lyrics that go from a color to its complimentary. Two lyrics that go from a value to its opposite. But then, the first lyrics, in my opinion, represent defiance of the same idea, of being “the person from one’s dreams”. Hyuna wants to be the symbol of the hope and dreams humanity has, while Luka wants to be worshipped (throwback to Ruler of my Hearts’ “Make me your God” lyrics)…but then, for the second lyrics, I find it to be the opposite. Both have the same feeling when represented by the line: they both dream with a better world than the one they’re in. This whole part it’s just two sides of the same coin. It’s like the ultimate way of showing us how contradictory, and yet consistent Hyuna’s world is. How she carries so many elements, how she’s so complex in so many different ways. She’s a girl who was under the influence of Alien Stage. She’s a girl Luka valued in a lovesick way. She’s the carrier of Mizi’s and her deceased loved one’s (as well as many other people’s) hopes. She’s the one who fights for a world of love and peace. She’s the one who can get drunk and party despite everything. She accepts all this parts, the beautiful and painful ones, and she manages to pull them off and see the future she wants through. She’s All-in. Tldr: I’m a lesbian who this video made fangirl a bit too much over Hyuna, now I’m going crazy over analyzing colors. This is just my personal interpretation of the lyrics, and I probably left many things out. Maybe people have different ideas to the one’s I had. Please, feel free to share them! Edit: I just realized there's another color used in what I called "the crazy part", right after the pink and teal. The lyrics in question is "And change it all, I'm going all-in". It goes from purple, to blue, to gray, to then purple again. It’s so fast it's difficult to catch, plus they are pretty similar colors. In the purple parts we keep seeing Hyuna sing, while what we see in the blue and gray is the scene where Luka is on top of Hyuna, while she looks confused, and perhaps uncomfortable. Blue is used to represent the past, and the gray is obviously supposed to represent another important part of Hyuna associated with that moment...something significant, as otherwise the change of color doesn't make much sense, they could've directly gone with the blue...so I'm a bit lost in what it could mean, honestly. If anyone has any ideas please share them. My guesses are maybe loss of hope/motivation, dissociation or boredom, due to the general vibes the color gives, but I'm not that certain on anything like I've been with the previous colors
I think gray represents the transition since, as we all know, gray is the middle between white and black. The moment of the video when we see gray is the moment when hyuna’s life (her relationship with Luka and the way she sees the world and faces the situations) changed. Is the transition. White could represent the “happy” days before the death of her brother, when the trio used to be happy and together. Black could represent the consequences after that, in a general way. That’s my interpretation of that colors!

Specially since transitions are way more impactful than what we may initially realize. It's a journey by itself to arrive from a starting point to an specific goal, and it'd make sense why it's an impactful part of her character, and why it differentiates from blue, as it's not just her past in Alien Stage- It's all that's lead her to be where she is right now. It could be further supported by the fact it appears between blue and purple (kinda representing her past and her present), and by the fact the colors are so similar they're difficult to catch I'd like to keep thinking on other ideas as well, but I do feel like it could totally be something like what you said. Great job coming up with that, it hadn't even crossed my mind 👏
just adding this here to reinforce your point: blue does have an interesting meaning throughout the series! In the ALIEN STAGE video (better known as Sweet Dream) literally the first few lines are: "I don't have any words anymore It has no meaning, even that blue night in the splendid lighting (white dress dyed red)" I think blue represents the past, and it especially connects to the past on Earth. seeing as Sua was old enough to remember Earth and remember leaving it and watching it... well... blow up. so while blue could definitely represent the influence of Alien Stage/Anakt Garden on the main characters, it might be better to say that it's the influence of the past or rather, home. For Mizi, home was with the aliens, she was very loved and accepted as a human pet and felt that Anakt Garden was her home. Her loss of the blue in her hair could mean her acceptance of Hyuna's revolution. For Hyuna, Anakt Garden used to be her home before luka changed that and therefore the transition into grey. so maybe that's why? Blue could also be a color meant to symbolize confusion or uncertainty, given Hyuna's expressions in the blue shots with Luka and other past videos using blue in tense or impactful scenes. Not super sure though :D I usually pay attention to the shots so looking at the caption colors and connecting the two has been eye-opening. also, extra thing to note. it might be easier to check caption timing in the original korean. It switches colors very definitively in time with certain words. so the words might connect to the color changes? not sure.
At 2:10 we can see Luka's facial expression when looking at Hyuna, i thought of it as a lovey dovey gaze because of the scene before where Luka is seen on top of Hyuna whilst Hyuna seems shocked and doesn't dare to move. also the fact that Luka;s fingers turn purple at 2:10 is probably the cause for Lukas disease he was said to have in the community offical art. My interpretation of this was Hyuna, brown haired boy and luka being friends, in a small second at 1:55 im sure we see Lukas perspective, Hyuna and this brown haired boy having fun and giving piggy back rides, right after we see that same brown haired boy beaten up, probably by luka in jealousy of this brown haired boy who was shown to be more closer to Hyuna than luka himself, leading Luka to beat up the brown haired boy. It was obvious Luka and the brown haired boy fought, luka having a bruise was probably the brown haired boys acting in self defence but failing because Luka seemed to have won. in my view i think luka did this out of jealousy. Hyuna was also seen throughout the video to have flashbacks on Luka and was seen terrified of Luka at one point but wouldnt give a blink, Im guessing Hyuna acts as if she doesnt care but really is scared? of Luka. just a theory!!! Also saying what Luka did to Hyuna was not love but assault, I forgot to add that in but we do see Luka having an expression that seems like a lovey dovey expression but Hyuna seeming terrified.
This also changes the meaning of Luka's song, as it can be applied to Hyuna. He could've went back into the competition hoping to get her attention. If she's on the run (and avoiding him), she can't avoid how popular the competition is. She'd see him whether she wanted to or not. We know he was just a little too obsessed with her in general (shown with him trying to kiss her and smiling after killing her brother), so it'd make sense for him to be calling her the " ruler of his heart" and asking her to belong to him.

THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYING! I immediately went to rewatch ruler of my heart after finishing this MV, and it really gives it a new perspective! I think both of you are right. I think it was a song about Hyuna, and a song to trigger Mizi. We’ve seen other participants witness some of the rounds before. There’s no reason for Luka not to be able to do the same, especially with his influence. Even if he hadn’t grown up with her, all he needed to see was Round 1. It was a love song, of two lovers singing along rather than competing, and one of them watching the other die. That’s more than enough for him to know what to exploit And what he did was sing about his feelings, just like all the other participants, and make it seem like he’s directing it to Mizi in order to trigger her and guarantee an easy win. Either he had Hyuna in mind in order to be able to come up with the most authentic words, pretending she’s the one he’s singing to, or, at the very least, thought on his own perspective in love to come up with the lyrics. He couldn’t just come up with generic words, he had to mess her up in a deep level to provoke the reaction he wanted Either way, ruler of my heart is pretty revealing to Luka’s character, and confirms what we can guess with the things that have been shown to us

My observation: 1:19 the boy that got killed has extremely similar features to Hyuna. Most probably it's her younger brother. Which begs the question, why did Luka kill him then? If he's Hyuna's brother, there's no way she would (romantically) choose him over Luka. Maybe he died as a direct result of Hyuna's rejection of Luka... We know that Luka's MO is to provoke a fight and play the victim. Perhaps Luka set it up such that the brother confronted Luka for what he did to Hyuna, giving Luka the opportunity to eliminate the other object of Hyuna's attention. This also puts pressure on Hyuna to not reject Luka, giving her a guilt complex continuously hinted at throughout this song and 'Sweet Dream'. Either way, this MV shows that cruelty and malicious intent is more in Luka's nature than we previously thought.
Well we don’t necessarily know that it’s her brother, but I feel like there’s got to be some reason more to why he did that because we know how he’s like later on, but does that necessarily mean That’s what he was like when he’s a kid ? 🤔 Maybe later on this will be a hint on to why he became, what he is like and give us more insight in to his character and why he does what he does
I think he’s just lack of empathy and emotion. The only time we see Luka’s smile was when he manipulated Mizi and killed (?) Hyuna’s brother. He didn’t smile even when Hyuna pat his head or tousled his hair (So i don’t think he loves Hyuna at all) Maybe abusing others feelings is the only way for Luka to feel his emotions. (Kinda like psychopath ?) [This analysis is from some Korean fans] Anyways as a HyunaLuka shipper, I’m not okay 🥲👍

i also think out of the two ivan would die for till, but hypothetically if they were to rescue another one it would be ivan! doubt it would happen again since like, they'd have better security after mizi's rescue. but yeah, that's a pretty good guess, i can see ivan dying next :(
I’m thinking about it, if the final round is Hyuna v Luka it would also make sense in a way. Luka being the embodiment of Alien Stage, and Hyuna being the face of the rebellion(?). I can also see him going against Mizi. But instead of it just being another Ruler of My Heart, we can have Mizi take the lead of the song (and control of the situation). Kinda to show that Luka can’t manipulate and provoke her as easily anymore. This would also mean that Till and/or Ivan ended up being rescued, or the rebels hijacked Alien Stage. If Ivan sacrificed himself, that would mean Till is going in against Luka… I don’t think it would end well for Till, really. He seems easily provoked, and that would spell disqualification for him. If I recall, Ivan’s more popular in-universe, so it would also be a hard matchup if it’s Ivan against Luka.

I think Luka wants any attention from Hyuna in any form. Maybe he envies Mizi for being saved by her? Or being saved in general? I remember someone commenting on the anniversary covers, and how it could be interpreted as how they’re feeling at the moment: Mizi feeling bitter in Black Sorrow, Ivan’s feelings for Till for My Clematis (?), and Luka wanting to be saved in sweet dream. I’m guessing that, after the incident, Hyuna was quick to distance herself from Luka. (Maybe she even slipped away and escaped early on- do we know if she was in any previous ALNST seasons?) Which made Luka desperate for any attention from her, anything to get her eyes on him. And that might’ve been one of the more motivating things that led him to win his first ALNST season: the idea that his face would be everywhere, and she’d have to look at him. But it’s gotten far too much for him- the spotlight and all- and he needs a way out. Course, he probably wouldn’t be saved by Hyuna, but he wants it to be her. 100% agree though, I want Hyuna and Luka to be face to face again. I can see Mizi maybe being a distraction for the rebels, diverting security away with her abrupt appearance, allowing the rebels to prepare and perform a rescue for Ivan and/or Till. And, maybe Hyuna will take the opportunity to put herself on the stage to face off against Luka. I just want them to duet, really. (sorry I really like talking about this series)
There's so many visual details that make fall more and more in love with this with every rewatch. Right at the very start, seeing Hyuna under a purple light... Because, after all, clematis come in two hues, don't they? And no matter how bad Mizi may still be grieving, at some point she's got to face that Sua is dead, but she's still alive. And here comes Hyuna, her song an anthem to living life to the fullest and making yourself face the future... But it's not only an anthem for Hyuna, is it? More like a mantra, as we see her daredevil facade crumble as the song progresses. Hyuna who is so brilliant and dazzling, because she has to in order to keep her ghosts at bay... specially the one that's still very much alive and haunting her. And just like that... when she is at her most defenseless, almost paralyzed... It finally reaches Mizi. Hyuna's fire makes the girl that was almost killed by her grief snap out of her passiveness and ACT at long last. The hair needs to go- the color of the clematis that the abyss swallowed needs to go. And it's messy and clumsy, yeah, but it's also so real... more real than Hyuna's ghost. As she watches that clumsy flower, Hyuna's ghost stops to matter- Luka's images stop holding weight. The spell broke. Instead she moves towards the girl, and at long last... it isn't a pink or purple hue, but their own warm yellow tint, Mizi driving them towards tomorrow rather than just clinging to Hyuna's back. I honestly can't wait for their duet.
1:16 i know this era was genuinely hell for them but in this frame its so nice to see them enjoy themselves and be happy despite the horrible conditions. like YES you DESERVE THIS
This episode's theory: Before, I observed that there will be "couples" that all like other people and are all "doomed love" in a sense. (Sua dying for Mizi, Till liking Mizi but Mizi not feeling the same, and THEN Ivan also liking Till...😭love hexagon we got here). Hyuna is a human rebel who grew up in the garden alongside Luka and somehow escaped to form a rebel alliance against the aliens. From the frames between 1:56 to 2:10 we see a bit of their backstory. They were a trio and Hyuna was friends with another boy, but Luka had a crush/obsession with Hyuna and killed Hyuna's other friend out of jealousy. We knew Luka was already crazy (who wouldn't be in that situation), but damn, it seems a part of it is that he was loony from the beginning! Welp! At 1:56 it looks like a frame where he's forcing himself on Hyuna, while at 2:09 he has a flushed, yet crazed and satisfied expression. He doesn't have the normal expression that one would have in such a traumatic "accident." In the "Sweet Dreams" introduction we see for the segment with Hyuna and Luka that she's holding a knife above Luka, looking angry while he just smiles at her. Obviously, she hates Luka for killing her other friend. In this video, there was a clip of Hyuna in a hallway thinking she saw a child run by, which I believe we can infer is the child that Luka killed now. Finally, I noticed that Luka seems to have his "theme" as a star revolve around writing love songs (since Ruler of My Heart appears that way based on its lyrics), so I think now he was directing all those songs around Hyuna, the woman he's obsessed over to a yandere-like amount. Otherwise, that's everything I have ^^ This video was pretty straightforward
I feel like Luka think himself as the left one out of the trio, since in the flashback he seem sitting faraway from the twin(HyunA & Luka) a little bit. He want HyunA to pay attention to him the most so eliminating her brother is not only way to have her by himself but also the way to make her more focus on him by 'anger', she will never forget him because he will always be her villain and that deepdown make him so happy :)

1:10 the shots in this scene are framed in ways that I think are revealing--or at least in ways that contain a lot of symbolism that can be read into. Hyunwoo is looking up to the sky, his fist is the one which we see being raised at 1:13. Luka is looking down at the ground. Hyuna is physically positioned between Hyunwoo and Luka, sitting and looking straight ahead--symbolically, she's positioned between them as two influences in her life, as two almost opposing philosophies/approaches. When Hyunwoo dies, Hyuna is the continuator of his character and story: at 1:34, mirroring the scene from childhood where Hyunwoo raises his fist to the sky, Hyuna is the one who now raises her fist in the bar. But although the animation shows us in this way that Hyuna has adopted her brother's dream/philosophy, she is still the Hyuna who is influenced by Luka. Hyuna is absolutely not at peace with her past, and so she becomes paralysed when her past appears in front of her in the uncontrollable present. At 1:51, she clearly experiences distress when she has flashbacks to Luka and Hyunwoo when they were children: of the three memories, two are clearly positive (in the first one, she is brushing Luka's cheek with the back of her hand; in the second one, she is being carried on Hyunwoo's back). But of course, as an adult, all these childhood memories are traumatic for her. In the present, her singing and her movements become more intense--even desperate--it seems that she uses the music to drown out the memories. Of course, at 2:18 when she is LITERALLY surrounded by Luka's face, on multiple screens around the room, she is paralysed with no ability to escape from it--it's an image in real life, not just in her mind's eye. Mizi at 2:22 is the one to literally stand up and replace Luka's face with her own. In a room where Hyuna is surrounded by Luka, Mizi is the person who 'saves' Hyuna from this memory and from this past. By looking at Mizi, Hyuna is able to walk back into the present.
I just noticed that the collars they wear changes color based on the emotions the person feels. Green when they feel relaxed or happy, orange when they feel stressed and red when they are scared or unstable. That is such a cool detail. :)
i never noticed !!! that's a really neat detail. the collars must exist to monitor the participants after all, so it makes sense that they'd have such a feature

Mizi with short hair looks so pretty! I really love the character designs and the music. This Alien stage is much more fun and even silly compared to the other rounds and I really love that! Now excuse me, I have to go mentally prepare myself for Ivan and Till’s round 😭😭

I can just imagine they had a whole blast drawing and animating this episode of Alien Stage. Almost every frame is so interesting and fun to look at. Of course, more lore and theories are provided but the animation is flawless, I had an amazing first time watching because of the art, it's such eyecandy!
(Updated Theories) I commented a few already, but i wanted to post a lil analysis. ------- Lukas song 1 First, that Luka's song was most likely directed at Hyuna. In community posts it says that he wrote the song before entering the competition (I explain why in the next section). Despite taunting Mizi, he probably didn't even really know her history (or the extent of her relationship) with Siu. This isn't to say he didn't taunt her, he most definitely did, but it was not as personal as we think. This is his second time in the competition, he's a famous and experienced performer, so he performed to win. But this doesn't mean the song was for or about Mizi, because he wrote it before he'd known any of them. Also, the song was in Mizi's POV so we only saw who she was thinking of (Siu), not who Luka was thinking about. Judging by how he's usually paired with Hyuna, it's safe to say he was singing about her considering Hyuna's the only one that has a history with him. ------- Why Luka re-entered the competition It's clear that Luka loves Hyuna, and they possibly even have a relationship similar to Mizi and Siu considering the fact that they grew up together in the same way (and Luka is seen explicitly having romantic feelings towards her). Regardless of how he feels though, Hyuna is on the run, and is possibly avoiding Luka because of the traumatic event of her brothers death. Plus Luka is living the complete opposite life as her as a top celebrity. I feel like because he has no chance at possibly meeting her again, this is his reasoning for reentering the competition. In the community posts, it says he wrote his song intending to sing it in the competition, but no one knew why he wanted to reenter in the first place (despite them being happy to hear him sing, lol). It might be because it's his only way to get Hyuna to hear him. The competition has such a big range that even if she tried to ignore it, she wouldn't be able to. And if you listen to the lyrics its really a love song FOR her, and it almost sounds like he's trying to coax her into coming back to him. I love you, you're perfect, please love me, I can give you anything you want, etc. ------- Did Luka kill Hyunas Brother? Though I was quick to assume Luka was the one who killed Hyuna's brother, I saw another theory stating that Luka seemed hurt/beat up as well, and that Hyuna seemed conflicted (not angry OR sad), more like a child that did something wrong or saw something they weren't supposed to. Luka still COULD'VE killed him, though it feels unlikely considering the characterization so far. Luka is this small introverted child dragged along by the siblings while Hyuna's brother is strong enough to run while carrying her on his back. Another theory I expanded upon is that perhaps, to an older brother, the scene where Luka kisses Hyuna was more of a scene where Luka was forcing himself onto Hyuna. Because of this, he might've confronted Luka, explaining why Luka looked beat up as well. If Hyuna stepped in to pull them apart, accidentally causing her brother to fall on the rock and die, it would explain why she stood there shocked by her actions. It also feels like a better explanation to Luka smiling at her than him just being a "crazy yandere". Sure he might be off in the head, but her defending him might've felt like a reciprocation of his feelings, and like she was saving him from getting beat up. Going off of the fact that he likes her, and possibly sees her similarly to how Mizi saw Siu (considering they grew up together), I'm not surprised he called her his "savior" alongside all his other compliments. If the theory of Hyuna accidentally killing her brother is true, then Luka feeling like she saved him from that experience adds even more to the lyrics (though I won't entirely discount him killing the brother himself). ------ Lukas song 2 Going off now what we know about Luka and Hyuna's relationship, a lot of the lyrics in Ruler of My Heart become clearer. Though the song isn't in his POV, the song is like an explicit declaration of his thoughts and desires about Hyuna. If he can't see her (considering that she's keeping her distance), it's as if he's letting her know that he still loves her and that she burns brighter than the sun, kind of like how Mizi had that whole Monologue about how she worshipped Mizi in her Clematis song. ------ End thoughts Regardless of whether or not he killed her brother, the fact that Luka is smiling at Hyuna and blushing still shows a twisted sense of devotion towards her. And despite his song being a declaration of love, it shows how he objectifies her considering that he's telling her to let go of her life and to worship him, since he can give her anything she asks for. He even says that he can't believe that she wouldn't want to be with him ("i can't believe... you're a liar"). Hyuna experienced so much trauma it hurts to even think of Luka. Though I can still be swayed, if Luka DID kill her brother, then it would explain why he's looking down at her in such an objectifying and predatory way in 2:20, and why in her lyrics she says that he probably doesn't even think he did anything wrong. If it's true, then he'll probably never understand why she doesn't want to be with him or in the world he built.
This is such a good analysis... I had thought about her pulling them apart, and Luka accidentally pushing the brother too hard, but not that her pulling them apart might be the reason he fell. Oh gosh, that adds so much tragedy to it all.... Hyuna ;; Something that really helps with your theory is the scene where she sings at (1:53) her thoughts about Luka seems almost tender (the cheek caress), and yet her reaction is so violently distressed. She's barely holding it together. She probably did have positive feelings towards him (be it romantic or platonic) but now even thinking of those hurts because they're tangled up in the memory of her deceased brother :( And now he's the face of this evil event that forces pet-humans to fight (sing) to the death, no wonder she can't handle even thinking of him. I am so ready for the next parts of the story, you have no idea...

I doubt they need a machine to mark finger tips because it labels murderous intent. If they even need a system like that in place you'd expect to see other kids and members with tinted finger tips like luka to show up.
I think it's interesting that the official ages for Luka and Hyuna are 31 and 27, respectively (pulled from the community board and also gathered in the WIP wiki.) In the flashbacks Luka looks around the same age if not younger than Hyuna judging by stature - a 5 year difference would be pretty drastic between kids, and I'm not sure how much each Anakt Garden incoming class varies in age typically. I wonder why VIVINOS chose those ages specifically, or if current/original timelines envisioned by the team don't match up with the official ages.
Maybe it's just because he has a more young-looking body/face? Like at first before ages were confirmed a lot of people thought he was about the same age of Mizi or something like that, because of how young he looks.

@@emmi999 I only did a little bit of research and although I couldn't find the source of all their information (og comment), I still found that developmental issues, leucokoria (yellow/golden pupils) and psychosis (even though im not sure if he has psychosis) are indeed symptoms of the norrie disease ! :D

I noticed in TOP 3 there was alien looking font that was actually English lettering (it said ANACT GARDEN). It's used again here at 0:08 but I can't read it lol. Kinda looks like URODU (or something). I guess it's this guy's name since there's an obvious bounty (or reward? 🤔👀) out for him in 560,000,000 won lol
I hate to focus on Luka when this is so obviously Hyuna’s moment but I just can’t help it, Luka just steals the fucking show every single time he shows up and in this appearance in particular it confirms a pattern I’ve been noticing about him and what I think is intentional withholding of information from the audience. In Hyuna’s song he shows up, looks grumpy, gets way too close to Hyuna for comfort and then ambiguously/possibly kills a boy (who may be Hyuna’s brother) with a rock. We see him from Hyuna’s perspective and damn does he not come out looking good. We got a few more pieces to the very disconcerting puzzle that is Luka but we still can’t put any of them concretely together because we are missing one very important thing: Luka’s perspective. In his round, did you notice that not once was there any sort of flashback or hint to his perspective/feelings? It was all about getting a rise out of Mizi by reminding her of Sua. Unlike with the other contestants, we have gotten no insight into Luka’s mind, leaving the audience with only his actions and other character’s interpretations of his actions to judge him by. I think drawing any conclusions about him now would be unwise because there is so much that’s still a complete mystery about him and truly, I don’t think we’ll really have enough information to truly draw any conclusions about him until Alien Stage ends and I think that’s intentional.

His twisted desire start to show in his actions as he tries to assault Hyuna which causes Hyunas presumed brother to fight Luka and die. Hyuna seems to still strongly hate Luka because of this and seems to have PTSD cause of this occurrence (flashbacks when she’s singing). Really wish Luka wasn’t such a bad character I really liked his design and voice.

I already knew I would love Hyuna even from the promos, but it didn’t prepare me for how fun this video is! Mizi is also one of my favorites so it’s very funny to see them have a “big silly sister and a beyond scared straight younger sister” type relationship.

I just realized something about All In compared to all the other ALNST songs-nothing that warrants an entire essay, but still something I found quite interesting. While everyone else's songs are about love towards another person in some form, Hyuna's song seems to be more about self-love through fighting for freedom and taking control of one's life. And I think that's why Hyuna's the "rebel" while everyone else, even Luka who already won ALNST, is still trapped in it. While everyone focuses their love onto another person (which caused Till to stay for Mizi, and Ivan to stay for Till), Hyuna learned how to love *herself*, allowing her to escape from ALNST without any regrets or hesitation.
This comment is so underrated, what a great point!
Mizi also “left” when Sua died. She didn’t leave physically, but mentally she no longer wanted to be in ALNST, which I think can be seen in Round 5. I think Hyuna and the rebels would show Mizi how to live for herself, and not for others.

Hyuna works wonderfully as Luka's juxtaposition. She seems to feel very strongly and has let herself feel those emotions (although I do think she was pushed to be that way due to the loss of her "brother"), whereas Luka overall doesn't seem to feel that all much due to his medicated condition (how much of it was his own will, we don't know yet) and has not allowed himself to let loose voluntarily (whenever he did feel a lot, it does not seem intentional).
Also, it seems like Hyuna is trying to make Mizi her 2.0 version (in a well-intentioned way I think) and they do seem to get along; that being said I recall a pic on twitter that showed Hyuna and Mizi facing backwards from each other; I think there is going to be one crucial aspect that differs Hyuna and Mizi and might cause these two to split or argue.

Hyuna is exactly how I imagined her to be, someone with a really strong character and the literal definition of freedom and girlboss but I just LOVE the way they portrayed her weak side as well like the fear and complicated memories involving Luka.

but the thing is, what you just described is what a girl boss is, and is supposed to be. When people first thought of girl boss, and started saying it, that’s what they meant. But then as it got used more in media it became more like “strong female lead”. And you think “ugh another female character who’s going to be totally awful”. When is reality a strong female lead is supposed to a powerful woman character who respects herself and others! so they are a strong female lead. But that’s not what you associate with the phrase anymore.
Overall I think it comes down to your interpretation of the word, like how when some people hear feminist they think “someone who believes in the equity and equality of both genders, and fights for the equal rights of both/all genders” and someone else thinks “man hater”. I would in courage you to look at the word in a more positive light, but how you view it is up to you.

I screamed in excitement over Mizi’s haircutting. Short hair and a ribbed turtleneck is such a niche but attractive combo. The Alien Stage opening made me assume Hyuna would be something of a bitter landmine diva so it was an unexpected but welcomed surprise she’s really more lively and affectionate.

What I love is that we see the character with the most gentle and innocent face (Luka) do an unforgivable act as murder. The competitors do cause the deaths of their rivals, but they don't do it out of violence or anger. Mizi beat the lights out of Luka because he was making her uncomfortable, and she was already dealing with the loss of Sua. Hyuna isn't soft, she's bold and was amazing for saving Mizi, but she still is scared of Luka. It shows the power dynamics. Luka killed someone dear to Hyuna, theorized to be her brother, WHILE SMILING. He's the star of Alien Stage too. Despite the fact he was bothering Mizi, the viewers probably saw Mizi as this cruel, violent, monster who wanted to hurt their precious baby boy for the competition! Which makes Hyuna's rescue more impactful. She acted against the Alien Stage, she acted against LUKA, and not for the sake of revenge. At first glance, Hyuna looks like the stereotypical bad girl, but she's one of the sweetest characters in the series and a great aid for helping Mizi with her grief.
Luka didnt seem to do it i think? Look at his collar at that moment, it was red (extremely stressed or unstable) and his fingers turned into a purply color.
I got the sense that he likes the singer of this song and killed the other guy because they were too close, so he has an obsessive trait. He has glee about it until it for some reason turns his fingers blue (although could imply he’s getting drugged which would also tie into the extreme glee appearance). To be fair, eliminating opponents before they reach the stage is also clever to reduce contestants, especially if they’re clearly better at singing… but he was too excited for that.

@@mimikadebilaBeing stressed doesn't mean he didn't do it. He was also shown to have loomed over Hyuna, and she appeared very shocked/frozen: he defenitely did something bad to her. And even if killing the other guy in the next flashback wasn't his intention, smiling after that is not the response of an innocent person who killed by accident. He either wanted to kill, or when it happened was happy about it: eitherway big red flag.
During the video in which Mizi was saved, I wondered if they left Luka behind because he was a part of the team but operating in Alien Stage (like a spy of sorts). Was his horribly inappropriate behavior part of the plan, to cause distractions?
Now it's clear: he behaved so horribly because he is that way. He's not a spy on the inside, they left him there because Hyuna had the choice and because of the horrible things he has done to her and others she fully decided to leave him there.

God I think you might be onto something...since their collars seem to reflect their emotional state (green, orange, red) and looking back at 2:10 Luka's collar is definitely red, not green or even orange like you'd think. Maybe part of the reason why he keeps the blank/detached 'doll' image is so that he doesn't do the 'wrong' expression when they're promoting

It's really interesting how the tips of Mizi's hair and Luka's fingers are all blue. Maybe the blue symbolizes the competition's influence?
As the previous winner of the competition, Luka embodies the spirit of alien stage and from the start, his fingers have always been blue. Whereas for Mizi, after escaping from the competition, her hair gets cut off, severing her blue tips, possibly symbolizing her breaking free from the competition.
It's really fun to think about. Everyone on the production team did an amazing job on this!
On the video we also get to see Luka's fingers becoming blue when he was on the ground. I really wonder whats going on with that.

All the lore I can make it is amazing so I might as well point so,w things out!
1. Hyuna clearly has a brother or sibling , which explains the community post that is a grave for Hyun Woo, her presumed sibling. Luka killed him knowing a messed up yandere way, giving us the reason why Hyuna hates Luka with such passion.
2. A dude featured in a community post holding a gvn to an alien was featured at one point, as well as a new character we have yet to know the name of! These seem to be the main cast for the rebels, imcludinh Mizi
3. Mizi has clearly changed a lot, from her caring, kind, obedient self, to a rebel who is becoming more and more rebellious and outgoing with all such missions. I love how when the hair was cut off, it’s as if it cuts off past memories as if to represent her steps forwards into a new life, but I really hope she doesn’t forget Sua 😭😭
4. The setting. It seems like the rebellion has an entire city, and they freely party and capture aliens that give funds to alien stags ,seemingly, for fun.
If I missed any details feel free to let me know, bit I genuinely loved the character development, the emotions, and the whole thing itself! I don’t think I’m going to stop watching this until the next round comes out, which I am nervous for.

There was a theory that Luka intentionally made Mizi attack him to make it easier for rebels to enter, meaning that Luka and Hyuna both planned this. But now it seems that as if he is always solving his problems like that, and Huyna is getting terrified only by thinking of him, but before the incident they seemed to be on good terms...

SO much happened in this music video and im here for all of it!! The backstory between Hyuna and Luka is so intriguing. Once sweet childhood memories, is quickly turned dark and leaves you wondering what exactly happened to lead up to this, juxtaposed by the adventurous and hardcore antics of Hyuna and the rebel humans as Mizi goes along for the ride.

not only does it look amazing on her but it really shows the growth of her character. No longer a child, sweet yet obedient and naive towards the cruelty of Alien Stage. Now it seems its foreshadowing an act of development for her, Sua's death a catalyst in realizing how truly awful this all is and making a stand against it

뭔가 이전까지는 에이스테 내부에서 인간이 외계인한테 지배당하는 모습만 봐와서 그런지 외계인이 거스를 수 없는 절대적인 존재로 느껴졌었는데 이번에 바깥상황이 제대로 나오면서 의외로 인간과 외계인이 대등하게 싸울 수 있다는게 보여지니까 전체적으로 암울한 분위기에서 SF액션장르로 확 바뀌는 느낌이에요! 반란군도 처음에는 뒤에서 몰래 활동하는 비밀조직같은 이미지였는데 그냥 정면돌파하는 스타일이었고 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
the one thing i could think about while rewatching this masterpiece is... Till should be with the rebels. in their nature they're wild, chaotic and everthing Till was but the aliens broke him and his spirit completly. he could bloom so well with Hyuna and the others becasue freedom is his biggest character trait. Ivan tried to run away with him once but his love for Mizi made him turn back and return. and now Till is the broken one, while Ivan drowning in him, willing to do everthing for him, including destroying himself and his name. and Mizi is the rebalious one. amazing lore, vivinos.

Guys, I'm sorry For ruining your hopes, but I Probably if they try to do like Mizi and Sua it won't work, Ivan is literally in the top 3 and Till killed a low-class alien He has a tube in his neck that is probably an anesthetic to the point that you can see what his situation is like and he always appears full of bruises, probably the Aliens beat him after the competitions, as shown at the end of Round 2, it looks like they are beating him his head on the wall so the Aliens don't like him very much, he's considered a rebel for the aliens, if they try to do this even if Ivan doesn't sing he will win because he has sponsors it's like he is a "golden boy" the Aliens will vote for him So I think Till is the one who will die, but I hope the rebellion saves him. 이번 영상 과거회상 때 루카 손가락색이 2:07~2:11 때 빼고 정상이었어요. 루카 손가락색이 심박수를 낮춰주는 약물 때문에 생기는 부작용 같던데, 이번 영상을 통해 대충 2가지 가설을 세웠어요. 첫째는 원래 루카는 심박수를 낮추는 약을 복용하지 않았으나 현아랑 친한 아이(아마도 현우)를 현아랑 관련된 무슨 일로 죽이고 그걸 심지어 즐기고 흡족해해서 누군가가 루카의 감정을 죽이고 조절하기 위해 그 약물을 루카에게 몸에 투입했고 그때 손가락색이 처음으로 변해서 2:11때 놀람. 둘째, 루카는 예전부터 심박수를 낮추는 약물을 복용했으나 현아를 너무 좋아해서 현아와 함께 있는 순간들은 심박수가 정상화되서 손가락색이 정상이 된 건데 이걸 루카도 눈치채지 못해서 2:11에서 놀람. 근데 어떤 경우든 간에 현아가 루카의 ruler of heart인건 확정된 거 같아요.

My LONG interpretation of Hyuna x Luka relationship\dynamic:
In my interpretation, before the murder of her brother, Hyuna and Luka had a thing going on. It started quite innocently, with Hyuna being an extrovert who made an effort to spend time with Luka, who was more reserved and isolated from other kids. I also believe that her brother and Luka weren't friends; they probably wouldn't interact if Hyuna wasn't there as a bridge, as we can see 1:17 how Hyuna is seated between them, reaching out to pat Luka's hair, while Luka's body language is closed off, and the brother is focused on having fun with Hyuna and discussing their dreams.
At some point during their hangout sessions, I think Hyuna started developing romantic feelings for Luka. At 1:52 in the video, we briefly see things from Hyuna's perspective, where she touches Luka's curl or caresses his cheek with the back of her hand. Then, it cuts to her sweating and looking distraught, which I interpret as her feeling guilty for ever loving Luka in the 1st place and having that sweet memory of him despite everything that had happened (her brother's murder). This could also suggests that she still had lingering feelings for Luka.
Which bring me to my next point, the kiss. While Hyuna might have been developing feelings for Luka, his obsession with her had reached alarming levels by then. Which makes sense, as she was the only one who showed genuine interest in him. My guess is that Luka interpreted Hyuna's interests in him as romantic from the start, because his lack of social interactions, and while there was maybe some truth to it, when he intiated the kiss, Hyuna wasnt there yet. Her feelings might have been more subconscious or not as strong, given her focus on her dreams, aspirations, and social life. Hence, her shocked and surprised expression when he tried to kiss her. I think the red dot on the collar could symbolize a disturbed state of mind or body (when they get hurt or die).
After that, whether the kiss happened or not (maybe she stopped him in time), she rejected him. Hyuna, with her friendly easy-going nature, likely tried to play it off, but their relationship quickly became awkward regardless. This might led her to reduce the time she spent with him Intuitively. Luka, wounded by the initial rejection, spiraled further into despair as his only friendship deteriorated. This escalating situation fueled his jealousy towards her brother, who was the person closest to Hyuna. I believe Luka had always regarded her brother as a potential rival for Hyuna's affections, and this perception became even more pronounced after her rejection.
So, he killed her brother. I believe it was premeditated and not just a result of a fight gone wrong, as some comments suggest. Luka is calculative, not physically strong, and determined to win over his competition. His plan was to make her brother trip backward and hit his head on a rock to kill him. I don't think he would have engaged in a physical fight unless he had the advantage of the rock placement. Luka was so depraved for Hyuna's attention by that point that he was thrilled when she looked at him at 2:01.
This brings me to my final observation: Alien stage round 5. Luka's objective was to capture Hyuna's attention. He was well aware of Hyuna's close relationship with Mizi during their younger years, as evidenced by their current affectionate bond. Despite having a good chance of winning, Luka chose not to play fair in that round. His sole focus was on achieving victory at any cost, knowing that only by winning could he ensure Hyuna's intervention to save Mizi from impending danger.
This determination becomes evident as Luka, battered and bruised, musters the strength to sit up and lock eyes with Hyuna. This moment parallels the scene where he gazes at her after she discovers his involvement in her brother's death, with him lying on the ground and her looking down on him. In my mind, Luka also smiles when Mizi starts attacking him because it signifies the success of his plan and the prospect of reuniting with Hyuna soon, in addition to his victory in the round.
I also believe that if Hyuna truly 100% despised Luka, she could have shot him at the end of round 5 amidst the chaos, as he wouldn't have been able to escape and it would haven taken a second. However, she didn't, which confirms my earlier point about lingering feelings. While she didn't kill him, she didn't save him either. Her relationship with him is complex, a mix of resentment, trauma, guilt, and love.

So, like I said in my comment from the teaser, where Hyuna sings is indeed a kind of pub, or bar. That the rebels have.
It seems like Hyuna was part of Anakt Garden, (maybe ALNST too but we haven't seen anything of it so I can't really tell.) And like we have seen in various posts and official art, Luka and Hyuna indeed knew each other as friends. (Or more?)
I know people are gonna ship them due to the frame 1:57… that Luka seems to be VERY close to Hyuna. But judging by Hyuna's expression I don't think they ever had a romantic relationship. Just as friends in Anakt Garden.
The child that is seen next to Hyuna is Hyun-Woo, possibly her little brother. (Due to how similar they are). And is the same child as the one who passed behind her in Sweet Dream. Hyun-Woo was Already known as dead due to a post some months ago, and now we know that he was killed by Luka. Possibly in a fight, and Luka smashed his head against a rock (2:04).
The two guys that are seen with Hyuna are probably friends or comrades, as they have been seen fighting against the aliens too.
By the lyrics of 1:56 "I'll create a fantasy in this crazy world." She could be referring to having joined (or created) the rebels, and giving a chance to the humans. Or she creating an own version of her world to not remember what happened to her brother. Because she seems very affected still.
I also noticed that in 2:12 she lets her guard down bc of Luka's photo in 2:20. And she almost gets caught, but Mizi saves her.
That's why she hates Luka so much. And that probably made her Sympathize with Mizi and rescue her. Specially bc she was Luka's Opponent.
In 2:10, Luka's fingers start turning blue/purple. Becoming now characteristic of him.
At 2:43 we see a guard writing in the dirt "help". So I think the rebels are much more stronger than we thought. They probably have killed a big part of the guards/aliens.
And finally, we see how Hyuna and Mizi are going to the ALNST stadium/facility (?) where Ivan and Till are going to sing. So Hyuna and the rebels probably want to save the other contestants as well.
IMPORTANT: This is ONLY a theory. I'm going to be analyzing the video and I'll probably have some things wrong, so don't take this as 100% true.

@@Omiriona Oh it's a good theory, I suppose the trigger for their breakup was the Alien Stage, each one decided to choose their own path and leave the other behind, Luka decided to be a star while Hyuna survived and joined the rebellion, there are many questions as to why Luka didn't accompany her.
This reminds me of the case of Ivan and Till, Ivan wanted to escape with Till but Till didn't want to leave since I guess the reason was that he didn't want to leave Mizi since he loves her.
I hope that Hyuna's 3 songs clarify a lot about the type of relationship she had with Luka and what happened in the previous Alien Stage 🥲

It might seem crazy what I’m ‘bout to say
This song is so awesome aaaaaaa!! A detail I haven’t seen mentioned in the comments (at least from the superficial read I had) is the change of colors in the subtitles through different parts of the MV. So let me go over my personal interpretations!
At first, we differentiate from two colors: Orange and purple.
Orange matches the poster and imagery of “Love and Peace” teased in the community tab by Vivinos. In the video, it represents the rebellion Hyuna leads. If we look up color symbolism, common associations with the color orange are optimism, youth, warmth, enthusiasm…I even saw a page that said it served to express freedom, which I find extremely fitting. It’s less like a war, and more like the fight for the human values they hold so dear, even after all hope seems to be lost. They’re young, and they create their own hope. They don’t want despair, they don’t seek to just take out their resentment on the aliens…they’re looking to make things right. I find “love and peace” to be a perfect description of what this part wants to convey.
Then there’s the purple. Following the same logic as before, this time we’d be seeing “Drunk and Party”. I don’t find a lot in color symbolism that personally strikes me as a good description for what it wants to convey…however, an interesting fact is that purple is the complementary color to yellow. This means that in the color wheel, they’re in opposite sides. I’ll elaborate on this later on, but if we think on yellow as Luka’s color, then I find it really fitting that purple is the color for a song that conveys a feeling of “shit is bad, but let’s clear our head, forget about everything, and have fun”. This interpretation would also explain why there’s not much going on during the purple parts of the song, just Hyuna singing and having the time of her life. It’s kind of a break from the intensity seen in literally everything else.
Then, we arrive to the first time imagery and colors flicker. Purple and orange mix together, gun and hand. Just like in the “All-in” poster, which gives name to the MV. The meaning is quite literal, she’s “All-in”. Both songs are part of her and of what moves her. It really makes us feel Hyuna’s strong character. I saw someone mention she’s both “peak masculinity but peak femininity at the same time”…and I feel like that’s really fitting, because she could embody two completely opposite concepts, and still give it her all in each just with her confidence alone. This I feel is one of the main messages of the song, and I think it’s also what makes her be so attractive for so many people.
We see all of this just within the first minute of the song. We could leave it there, and it’d already be amazing. But no! It doesn’t stop there. Because now we start with the parts of Hyuna not teased in the posters.
A light blue is one of the most used colors in the song, and it’s used to represent her past. I saw another comment theorizing blue could be symbolism to Alien Stage’s influence on the participants. In which case, blue is the perfect color for this part. We begin seeing the less “girlboss” parts of Hyuna, the things that haunt her. And I think the fact they added this just makes her a stronger character…she isn’t just some rebellious girlboss for people to fawn over. She’s someone who was affected by the aliens just like everyone else and DESPITE THAT is a rebellious girlboss we can fawn over. She isn’t independent to all the suffering that’s come, and the fact that, despite that, she’s still able to convey both of the previous messages with such confidence is admirable.
This last thing is kind of expressed to us when the lyrics first go from blue to orange. She’s come from that influence, to a symbol of rebellion.
As soon as the blue appears, we begin seeing Luka appear in fragments of the song, fragments of different values Hyuna holds. We see how he’s a big part of the different things that make her be who she is, aside from the initial three first teased to us.

Cuz I’m the one from your wildest dreams”
The last lyrics flickers from drunk and party’s purple to yellow, followed by a image of Luka. This is where I elaborate on what I mentioned earlier: Luka is symbolized by yellow. Given the images, we can assume he was in love with Hyuna, and for it he committed a “yandere kill”, killing what many have assumed to be a sibling Hyuna had. This, very obviously, has affected her greatly, and it’s the reason why she resents him. Luka saw himself as “the one from Hyuna’s wildest dreams”. That idea must be something bitter to some extent for Hyuna, and yet she embraces it. She embraces living with confidence and staying true to herself. And I think here we can see the true meaning of the purple. She’s the complimentary part to Luka, she’s the opposite to all he represents- She’s able to clear her head, forget about her worries and have fun despite the mark Luka wanted to leave in her.
But, beyond that, this part of the song has to be my favorite, because it’s when not only yellow, but other two colors appear suddenly, not to be used again. It’s the craziest part of the song, where we begin seeing more concepts and ideas clashing with each other, to then show what’s likely Hyuna’s most painful memory.
The other two colors accompany the lyrics “I’ll create a fantasy in this crazy world”. Just like how Hyuna’s purple went to its complementary, Luka’s yellow, here we see what I believe to be Mizi’s pink going to a color pretty opposite in the color wheel, teal. This I believe to be related to the person Luka killed. From this I think we can conclude Mizi reminds Hyuna of this person to an extent, and that they embody different values in some way. If we look at it from Hyuna’s perspective (since in the end, the colors are different elements of Hyuna’s character), perhaps it could be something like “the one that I couldn’t save from Luka, and the one that I could save from him”.
So we have two lyrics that go from “future” to “past”. Two lyrics that go from a color to its complimentary. Two lyrics that go from a value to its opposite. But then, the first lyrics, in my opinion, represent defiance of the same idea, of being “the person from one’s dreams”. Hyuna wants to be the symbol of the hope and dreams humanity has, while Luka wants to be worshipped (throwback to Ruler of my Hearts’ “Make me your God” lyrics)…but then, for the second lyrics, I find it to be the opposite. Both have the same feeling when represented by the line: they both dream with a better world than the one they’re in.
This whole part it’s just two sides of the same coin. It’s like the ultimate way of showing us how contradictory, and yet consistent Hyuna’s world is. How she carries so many elements, how she’s so complex in so many different ways. She’s a girl who was under the influence of Alien Stage. She’s a girl Luka valued in a lovesick way. She’s the carrier of Mizi’s and her deceased loved one’s (as well as many other people’s) hopes. She’s the one who fights for a world of love and peace. She’s the one who can get drunk and party despite everything.
She accepts all this parts, the beautiful and painful ones, and she manages to pull them off and see the future she wants through. She’s All-in.
Tldr: I’m a lesbian who this video made fangirl a bit too much over Hyuna, now I’m going crazy over analyzing colors.
This is just my personal interpretation of the lyrics, and I probably left many things out. Maybe people have different ideas to the one’s I had. Please, feel free to share them! I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts!! Also, sorry if any parts are not expressed clearly! English isn’t my first language, but I did my best to convey what I thought!
Edit: I just realized there's another color used in what I called "the crazy part", right after the pink and teal. The lyrics in question is "And change it all, I'm going all-in". It goes from purple, to blue, to gray, to then purple again. It’s so fast it's difficult to catch, plus they are pretty similar colors. In the purple parts we keep seeing Hyuna sing, while what we see in the blue and gray is the scene where Luka is on top of Hyuna, while she looks confused, and perhaps uncomfortable. Blue is used to represent the past, and the gray is obviously supposed to represent another important part of Hyuna associated with that moment...something significant, as otherwise the change of color doesn't make much sense, they could've directly gone with the blue...so I'm a bit lost in what it could mean, honestly. If anyone has any ideas please share them. My guesses are maybe loss of hope/motivation, dissociation or boredom, due to the general vibes the color gives, but I'm not that certain on anything like I've been with the previous colors

I think gray represents the transition since, as we all know, gray is the middle between white and black.
The moment of the video when we see gray is the moment when hyuna’s life (her relationship with Luka and the way she sees the world and faces the situations) changed.
Is the transition.
White could represent the “happy” days before the death of her brother, when the trio used to be happy and together.
Black could represent the consequences after that, in a general way.
That’s my interpretation of that colors!

Specially since transitions are way more impactful than what we may initially realize. It's a journey by itself to arrive from a starting point to an specific goal, and it'd make sense why it's an impactful part of her character, and why it differentiates from blue, as it's not just her past in Alien Stage- It's all that's lead her to be where she is right now. It could be further supported by the fact it appears between blue and purple (kinda representing her past and her present), and by the fact the colors are so similar they're difficult to catch

just adding this here to reinforce your point: blue does have an interesting meaning throughout the series! In the ALIEN STAGE video (better known as Sweet Dream) literally the first few lines are:
"I don't have any words anymore
It has no meaning,
even that blue night in the splendid lighting
(white dress dyed red)"
I think blue represents the past, and it especially connects to the past on Earth. seeing as Sua was old enough to remember Earth and remember leaving it and watching it... well... blow up. so while blue could definitely represent the influence of Alien Stage/Anakt Garden on the main characters, it might be better to say that it's the influence of the past or rather, home. For Mizi, home was with the aliens, she was very loved and accepted as a human pet and felt that Anakt Garden was her home. Her loss of the blue in her hair could mean her acceptance of Hyuna's revolution. For Hyuna, Anakt Garden used to be her home before luka changed that and therefore the transition into grey. so maybe that's why?
Blue could also be a color meant to symbolize confusion or uncertainty, given Hyuna's expressions in the blue shots with Luka and other past videos using blue in tense or impactful scenes.
Not super sure though :D I usually pay attention to the shots so looking at the caption colors and connecting the two has been eye-opening.
also, extra thing to note. it might be easier to check caption timing in the original korean. It switches colors very definitively in time with certain words. so the words might connect to the color changes? not sure.

At 2:10 we can see Luka's facial expression when looking at Hyuna, i thought of it as a lovey dovey gaze because of the scene before where Luka is seen on top of Hyuna whilst Hyuna seems shocked and doesn't dare to move. also the fact that Luka;s fingers turn purple at 2:10 is probably the cause for Lukas disease he was said to have in the community offical art. My interpretation of this was Hyuna, brown haired boy and luka being friends, in a small second at 1:55 im sure we see Lukas perspective, Hyuna and this brown haired boy having fun and giving piggy back rides, right after we see that same brown haired boy beaten up, probably by luka in jealousy of this brown haired boy who was shown to be more closer to Hyuna than luka himself, leading Luka to beat up the brown haired boy. It was obvious Luka and the brown haired boy fought, luka having a bruise was probably the brown haired boys acting in self defence but failing because Luka seemed to have won. in my view i think luka did this out of jealousy. Hyuna was also seen throughout the video to have flashbacks on Luka and was seen terrified of Luka at one point but wouldnt give a blink, Im guessing Hyuna acts as if she doesnt care but really is scared? of Luka. just a theory!!! Also saying what Luka did to Hyuna was not love but assault, I forgot to add that in but we do see Luka having an expression that seems like a lovey dovey expression but Hyuna seeming terrified.

He could've went back into the competition hoping to get her attention. If she's on the run (and avoiding him), she can't avoid how popular the competition is. She'd see him whether she wanted to or not.
We know he was just a little too obsessed with her in general (shown with him trying to kiss her and smiling after killing her brother), so it'd make sense for him to be calling her the " ruler of his heart" and asking her to belong to him.

I think both of you are right. I think it was a song about Hyuna, and a song to trigger Mizi. We’ve seen other participants witness some of the rounds before. There’s no reason for Luka not to be able to do the same, especially with his influence. Even if he hadn’t grown up with her, all he needed to see was Round 1. It was a love song, of two lovers singing along rather than competing, and one of them watching the other die. That’s more than enough for him to know what to exploit
And what he did was sing about his feelings, just like all the other participants, and make it seem like he’s directing it to Mizi in order to trigger her and guarantee an easy win. Either he had Hyuna in mind in order to be able to come up with the most authentic words, pretending she’s the one he’s singing to, or, at the very least, thought on his own perspective in love to come up with the lyrics. He couldn’t just come up with generic words, he had to mess her up in a deep level to provoke the reaction he wanted
Either way, ruler of my heart is pretty revealing to Luka’s character, and confirms what we can guess with the things that have been shown to us

My observation:
1:19 the boy that got killed has extremely similar features to Hyuna. Most probably it's her younger brother.
Which begs the question, why did Luka kill him then? If he's Hyuna's brother, there's no way she would (romantically) choose him over Luka. Maybe he died as a direct result of Hyuna's rejection of Luka...
We know that Luka's MO is to provoke a fight and play the victim. Perhaps Luka set it up such that the brother confronted Luka for what he did to Hyuna, giving Luka the opportunity to eliminate the other object of Hyuna's attention. This also puts pressure on Hyuna to not reject Luka, giving her a guilt complex continuously hinted at throughout this song and 'Sweet Dream'.
Either way, this MV shows that cruelty and malicious intent is more in Luka's nature than we previously thought.

I think he’s just lack of empathy and emotion. The only time we see Luka’s smile was when he manipulated Mizi and killed (?) Hyuna’s brother. He didn’t smile even when Hyuna pat his head or tousled his hair (So i don’t think he loves Hyuna at all) Maybe abusing others feelings is the only way for Luka to feel his emotions. (Kinda like psychopath ?) [This analysis is from some Korean fans]

I’m thinking about it, if the final round is Hyuna v Luka it would also make sense in a way. Luka being the embodiment of Alien Stage, and Hyuna being the face of the rebellion(?).
I can also see him going against Mizi. But instead of it just being another Ruler of My Heart, we can have Mizi take the lead of the song (and control of the situation). Kinda to show that Luka can’t manipulate and provoke her as easily anymore. This would also mean that Till and/or Ivan ended up being rescued, or the rebels hijacked Alien Stage.
If Ivan sacrificed himself, that would mean Till is going in against Luka… I don’t think it would end well for Till, really. He seems easily provoked, and that would spell disqualification for him. If I recall, Ivan’s more popular in-universe, so it would also be a hard matchup if it’s Ivan against Luka.

I remember someone commenting on the anniversary covers, and how it could be interpreted as how they’re feeling at the moment: Mizi feeling bitter in Black Sorrow, Ivan’s feelings for Till for My Clematis (?), and Luka wanting to be saved in sweet dream.
I’m guessing that, after the incident, Hyuna was quick to distance herself from Luka. (Maybe she even slipped away and escaped early on- do we know if she was in any previous ALNST seasons?) Which made Luka desperate for any attention from her, anything to get her eyes on him. And that might’ve been one of the more motivating things that led him to win his first ALNST season: the idea that his face would be everywhere, and she’d have to look at him.

100% agree though, I want Hyuna and Luka to be face to face again. I can see Mizi maybe being a distraction for the rebels, diverting security away with her abrupt appearance, allowing the rebels to prepare and perform a rescue for Ivan and/or Till. And, maybe Hyuna will take the opportunity to put herself on the stage to face off against Luka. I just want them to duet, really.

There's so many visual details that make fall more and more in love with this with every rewatch.
Right at the very start, seeing Hyuna under a purple light... Because, after all, clematis come in two hues, don't they? And no matter how bad Mizi may still be grieving, at some point she's got to face that Sua is dead, but she's still alive. And here comes Hyuna, her song an anthem to living life to the fullest and making yourself face the future... But it's not only an anthem for Hyuna, is it? More like a mantra, as we see her daredevil facade crumble as the song progresses. Hyuna who is so brilliant and dazzling, because she has to in order to keep her ghosts at bay... specially the one that's still very much alive and haunting her. And just like that... when she is at her most defenseless, almost paralyzed... It finally reaches Mizi. Hyuna's fire makes the girl that was almost killed by her grief snap out of her passiveness and ACT at long last. The hair needs to go- the color of the clematis that the abyss swallowed needs to go. And it's messy and clumsy, yeah, but it's also so real... more real than Hyuna's ghost. As she watches that clumsy flower, Hyuna's ghost stops to matter- Luka's images stop holding weight. The spell broke. Instead she moves towards the girl, and at long last... it isn't a pink or purple hue, but their own warm yellow tint, Mizi driving them towards tomorrow rather than just clinging to Hyuna's back.
I honestly can't wait for their duet.

This episode's theory:
Before, I observed that there will be "couples" that all like other people and are all "doomed love" in a sense. (Sua dying for Mizi, Till liking Mizi but Mizi not feeling the same, and THEN Ivan also liking Till...😭love hexagon we got here).
Hyuna is a human rebel who grew up in the garden alongside Luka and somehow escaped to form a rebel alliance against the aliens. From the frames between 1:56 to 2:10 we see a bit of their backstory. They were a trio and Hyuna was friends with another boy, but Luka had a crush/obsession with Hyuna and killed Hyuna's other friend out of jealousy. We knew Luka was already crazy (who wouldn't be in that situation), but damn, it seems a part of it is that he was loony from the beginning! Welp! At 1:56 it looks like a frame where he's forcing himself on Hyuna, while at 2:09 he has a flushed, yet crazed and satisfied expression. He doesn't have the normal expression that one would have in such a traumatic "accident."
In the "Sweet Dreams" introduction we see for the segment with Hyuna and Luka that she's holding a knife above Luka, looking angry while he just smiles at her. Obviously, she hates Luka for killing her other friend. In this video, there was a clip of Hyuna in a hallway thinking she saw a child run by, which I believe we can infer is the child that Luka killed now.
Finally, I noticed that Luka seems to have his "theme" as a star revolve around writing love songs (since Ruler of My Heart appears that way based on its lyrics), so I think now he was directing all those songs around Hyuna, the woman he's obsessed over to a yandere-like amount.
Otherwise, that's everything I have ^^ This video was pretty straightforward
I believe the boy Luka killed, was Huena's brother (maybe even twin brother). They have the same eye, hair, and skin colors.
I feel like Luka think himself as the left one out of the trio, since in the flashback he seem sitting faraway from the twin(HyunA & Luka) a little bit. He want HyunA to pay attention to him the most so eliminating her brother is not only way to have her by himself but also the way to make her more focus on him by 'anger', she will never forget him because he will always be her villain and that deepdown make him so happy :)

1:10 the shots in this scene are framed in ways that I think are revealing--or at least in ways that contain a lot of symbolism that can be read into. Hyunwoo is looking up to the sky, his fist is the one which we see being raised at 1:13. Luka is looking down at the ground. Hyuna is physically positioned between Hyunwoo and Luka, sitting and looking straight ahead--symbolically, she's positioned between them as two influences in her life, as two almost opposing philosophies/approaches.
When Hyunwoo dies, Hyuna is the continuator of his character and story: at 1:34, mirroring the scene from childhood where Hyunwoo raises his fist to the sky, Hyuna is the one who now raises her fist in the bar. But although the animation shows us in this way that Hyuna has adopted her brother's dream/philosophy, she is still the Hyuna who is influenced by Luka.
Hyuna is absolutely not at peace with her past, and so she becomes paralysed when her past appears in front of her in the uncontrollable present. At 1:51, she clearly experiences distress when she has flashbacks to Luka and Hyunwoo when they were children: of the three memories, two are clearly positive (in the first one, she is brushing Luka's cheek with the back of her hand; in the second one, she is being carried on Hyunwoo's back). But of course, as an adult, all these childhood memories are traumatic for her. In the present, her singing and her movements become more intense--even desperate--it seems that she uses the music to drown out the memories.
Of course, at 2:18 when she is LITERALLY surrounded by Luka's face, on multiple screens around the room, she is paralysed with no ability to escape from it--it's an image in real life, not just in her mind's eye. Mizi at 2:22 is the one to literally stand up and replace Luka's face with her own. In a room where Hyuna is surrounded by Luka, Mizi is the person who 'saves' Hyuna from this memory and from this past. By looking at Mizi, Hyuna is able to walk back into the present.

I just noticed that the collars they wear changes color based on the emotions the person feels. Green when they feel relaxed or happy, orange when they feel stressed and red when they are scared or unstable. That is such a cool detail. :)

I can just imagine they had a whole blast drawing and animating this episode of Alien Stage. Almost every frame is so interesting and fun to look at. Of course, more lore and theories are provided but the animation is flawless, I had an amazing first time watching because of the art, it's such eyecandy!

(Updated Theories) I commented a few already, but i wanted to post a lil analysis.
------- Lukas song 1
First, that Luka's song was most likely directed at Hyuna. In community posts it says that he wrote the song before entering the competition (I explain why in the next section). Despite taunting Mizi, he probably didn't even really know her history (or the extent of her relationship) with Siu. This isn't to say he didn't taunt her, he most definitely did, but it was not as personal as we think. This is his second time in the competition, he's a famous and experienced performer, so he performed to win. But this doesn't mean the song was for or about Mizi, because he wrote it before he'd known any of them.
Also, the song was in Mizi's POV so we only saw who she was thinking of (Siu), not who Luka was thinking about. Judging by how he's usually paired with Hyuna, it's safe to say he was singing about her considering Hyuna's the only one that has a history with him.
------- Why Luka re-entered the competition
It's clear that Luka loves Hyuna, and they possibly even have a relationship similar to Mizi and Siu considering the fact that they grew up together in the same way (and Luka is seen explicitly having romantic feelings towards her).
Regardless of how he feels though, Hyuna is on the run, and is possibly avoiding Luka because of the traumatic event of her brothers death. Plus Luka is living the complete opposite life as her as a top celebrity. I feel like because he has no chance at possibly meeting her again, this is his reasoning for reentering the competition. In the community posts, it says he wrote his song intending to sing it in the competition, but no one knew why he wanted to reenter in the first place (despite them being happy to hear him sing, lol). It might be because it's his only way to get Hyuna to hear him. The competition has such a big range that even if she tried to ignore it, she wouldn't be able to.
And if you listen to the lyrics its really a love song FOR her, and it almost sounds like he's trying to coax her into coming back to him. I love you, you're perfect, please love me, I can give you anything you want, etc.
------- Did Luka kill Hyunas Brother?
Though I was quick to assume Luka was the one who killed Hyuna's brother, I saw another theory stating that Luka seemed hurt/beat up as well, and that Hyuna seemed conflicted (not angry OR sad), more like a child that did something wrong or saw something they weren't supposed to.
Luka still COULD'VE killed him, though it feels unlikely considering the characterization so far. Luka is this small introverted child dragged along by the siblings while Hyuna's brother is strong enough to run while carrying her on his back. Another theory I expanded upon is that perhaps, to an older brother, the scene where Luka kisses Hyuna was more of a scene where Luka was forcing himself onto Hyuna. Because of this, he might've confronted Luka, explaining why Luka looked beat up as well. If Hyuna stepped in to pull them apart, accidentally causing her brother to fall on the rock and die, it would explain why she stood there shocked by her actions.
It also feels like a better explanation to Luka smiling at her than him just being a "crazy yandere". Sure he might be off in the head, but her defending him might've felt like a reciprocation of his feelings, and like she was saving him from getting beat up.
Going off of the fact that he likes her, and possibly sees her similarly to how Mizi saw Siu (considering they grew up together), I'm not surprised he called her his "savior" alongside all his other compliments. If the theory of Hyuna accidentally killing her brother is true, then Luka feeling like she saved him from that experience adds even more to the lyrics (though I won't entirely discount him killing the brother himself).
------ Lukas song 2
Going off now what we know about Luka and Hyuna's relationship, a lot of the lyrics in Ruler of My Heart become clearer. Though the song isn't in his POV, the song is like an explicit declaration of his thoughts and desires about Hyuna. If he can't see her (considering that she's keeping her distance), it's as if he's letting her know that he still loves her and that she burns brighter than the sun, kind of like how Mizi had that whole Monologue about how she worshipped Mizi in her Clematis song.
------ End thoughts
Regardless of whether or not he killed her brother, the fact that Luka is smiling at Hyuna and blushing still shows a twisted sense of devotion towards her.
And despite his song being a declaration of love, it shows how he objectifies her considering that he's telling her to let go of her life and to worship him, since he can give her anything she asks for. He even says that he can't believe that she wouldn't want to be with him ("i can't believe... you're a liar").
Hyuna experienced so much trauma it hurts to even think of Luka. Though I can still be swayed, if Luka DID kill her brother, then it would explain why he's looking down at her in such an objectifying and predatory way in 2:20, and why in her lyrics she says that he probably doesn't even think he did anything wrong. If it's true, then he'll probably never understand why she doesn't want to be with him or in the world he built.

Something that really helps with your theory is the scene where she sings at (1:53) her thoughts about Luka seems almost tender (the cheek caress), and yet her reaction is so violently distressed. She's barely holding it together. She probably did have positive feelings towards him (be it romantic or platonic) but now even thinking of those hurts because they're tangled up in the memory of her deceased brother :( And now he's the face of this evil event that forces pet-humans to fight (sing) to the death, no wonder she can't handle even thinking of him. I am so ready for the next parts of the story, you have no idea...

I think it's interesting that the official ages for Luka and Hyuna are 31 and 27, respectively (pulled from the community board and also gathered in the WIP wiki.) In the flashbacks Luka looks around the same age if not younger than Hyuna judging by stature - a 5 year difference would be pretty drastic between kids, and I'm not sure how much each Anakt Garden incoming class varies in age typically. I wonder why VIVINOS chose those ages specifically, or if current/original timelines envisioned by the team don't match up with the official ages.
Maybe it's just because he has a more young-looking body/face? Like at first before ages were confirmed a lot of people thought he was about the same age of Mizi or something like that, because of how young he looks.

Kinda looks like URODU (or something). I guess it's this guy's name since there's an obvious bounty (or reward? 🤔👀) out for him in 560,000,000 won lol
I hate to focus on Luka when this is so obviously Hyuna’s moment but I just can’t help it, Luka just steals the fucking show every single time he shows up and in this appearance in particular it confirms a pattern I’ve been noticing about him and what I think is intentional withholding of information from the audience.
In Hyuna’s song he shows up, looks grumpy, gets way too close to Hyuna for comfort and then ambiguously/possibly kills a boy (who may be Hyuna’s brother) with a rock. We see him from Hyuna’s perspective and damn does he not come out looking good.
We got a few more pieces to the very disconcerting puzzle that is Luka but we still can’t put any of them concretely together because we are missing one very important thing: Luka’s perspective.
In his round, did you notice that not once was there any sort of flashback or hint to his perspective/feelings? It was all about getting a rise out of Mizi by reminding her of Sua. Unlike with the other contestants, we have gotten no insight into Luka’s mind, leaving the audience with only his actions and other character’s interpretations of his actions to judge him by.
I think drawing any conclusions about him now would be unwise because there is so much that’s still a complete mystery about him and truly, I don’t think we’ll really have enough information to truly draw any conclusions about him until Alien Stage ends and I think that’s intentional.

After finishing the video and seeing the other theories I think that Luka had a yandere like obsession towards Hyuna cause of her outgoing and accepting personality towards Luka who was very reserved at the time. His twisted desire start to show in his actions as he tries to assault Hyuna which causes Hyunas presumed brother to fight Luka and die. Hyuna seems to still strongly hate Luka because of this and seems to have PTSD cause of this occurrence (flashbacks when she’s singing). Really wish Luka wasn’t such a bad character I really liked his design and voice.

I do think Hynuna does not harbour only pure hatred towards Luca though, I was thinking the same thing when I saw Hyuna’s friend with the dyed blonde hair (that’s the same blonde as Lucas, which I am sure vivinos would not just randomly do), IM SURE SHE HAS UNDERLYING FEELINGS OF AFFECTION TOWARDS HIM FROM CHILDHOOD AND MISSES THAT!!!!! I still like Luka's character design and voice. But wtf an implied victim (Hyuna) and the potential SA attempter (Luka) are one of the last pairs I'm hoping to get together.
Again, to be clear, like yes Luka as a character design and performer is allowed to be liked as nice. But let's also not try to delude ourselves as if he was not just implied to have probably done something absolutely shitty or as if Hyuna wants to be with him. I noticed that Hyuna’s sidekicks kind of look like Luka and the boy he killed. Like, she’s living her life to the fullest but she’s also living her life so full to forget about Luka and what happened. But she can’t escape it. And she misses them. I already knew I would love Hyuna even from the promos, but it didn’t prepare me for how fun this video is! Mizi is also one of my favorites so it’s very funny to see them have a “big silly sister and a beyond scared straight younger sister” type relationship.
