- This glamorous 1960 film showcases the Ford Anglia 105E Deluxe as a young sophisticated couple take it to Paris for a romantic weekend, taking in such sights as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. The Anglia is shown to be right at home in such surroundings, as it is, as the strap-line says "for excitement everywhere".

The Passenger is Marie Dubois. She died of sclerosis disease in 2014. She is famous thanks a very famous french comedy "la grande vadrouille".... RIP Marie….
Well spotted. She was then making her début in acting, with a real French kiss ! She is buried in Ville d'Avray, a nice little town in the Western suburbs of Paris. A charming actress. We miss her.

Une bien meilleure époque avec du charme et du respect. Aujourd'hui tout est foutu le camp.c' était le paris romantique. Sur cette vidéo je crois avoir reconnu l' actrice marie Dubois aujourd'hui disparue.
We didn't have Anglias in France but I can remember seeing thousand in the UK in the seventies

Since 1982 I have been traveling to Paris.
Remember my first visit still.4th July. Bastille day. Nothing open at all.But the Champs Elysee as grand as ever.
The connection her for me is that my uncle’s first car was. Ford Anglia as well in sky blue. The English police used them as well however I never saw one in frequent trips to Paris so it was nostalgic to see this video and all the places which accommodated that lucky couple on their promotional Ford motor excursion in what was a grey city judging by how all the monumental building s desperately in need of a whitewall washing.
I know, because London was, for quite a time the same and seeing Paris years later after tits monumental cleaning of its important buildings, it is good to know that we have come a long way and for the better where industrialization is concerned.
Cleaner cars mean healthier and cleaner cities and living.
Would love to see the Ford Zephyr and first series of the Cortina and Ford Escort in a video like this!

The Anglia looks like a cross between the Peugeot 404 and the Citroën Ami 6.

This is the Ford Anglia when it had just been launched nearly a year ago during that Time. But the romantic Couple remind me of going to a Hotel.

It's a beautiful film but while watching it I realised that the front end of a Ford 105 Anglia looks just like marty feldmen's face .
Director Clive Donner was the director of 'What's New Pussycat?' 5 years after this, among other films.

An Anglia Deluxe doesn't suit that couple. They should have been in a Zodiac, with all the bells and whistles. The Anglia was a cheap and nasty car. We had one. No carpets - just rubber mats. The heater was a £7, 10s "extra" (1/2 a weeks wages). Lucky we had the deluxe version, as the ordinary one only had one windscreen wiper and no water sprayer. Radio? You've got to be kidding.
It was a long time ago but even as a 9 year old I was aware how yeuchy and utilitarian they were. A school friend's father had a Rover 90. It seemed light years ahead in terms of luxury, power, size and status.

The Anglia was a good looking car but driving behind a Citroen DS it looks out of place .Those were beautiful times in history .
