He didn't want the appointment ruined, if she fell in love with the sight of a dress too small for her size chances are she wouldn't go for anything else in the store.

I think another big reason was that it was not in her size. If he took that back to her, she would have tried to get into it. Then she would have been upset about her body and the appointment would turn negative.
If it were just about the money, the dad was willing to spend it, and Randy would have taken it back to her.

"easy sis, it just wasn't the one" I feel like the entourage sometimes forgets that you can, in fact, veto a dress without having to insult it or the bride. This dad understands that.

I thought she looked better in the 2nd dress, but I'm glad she was happy with her selection. Her dad is a star for wanting to make his daughter happy at all costs and for correcting his other daughter for her negative comment. Dad is ace! Congratulations to the bride! ❤️

I liked the second dress too
She needed a consultant that really understands plus sized brides and choose not just a dress that "is her size" but a dress to really compliment her figure. You could see the desperation in the family after that first dress. They didn't want their daughter to have to settle on anything that just fit her. If they don't have enough dresses in her size, she needs to go to a store that does.
Seriously, she would've found a WAY better dress with Jo and Al in the UK

Kleinfelds need to take lessons from Jo and Al.. they don’t even know how to lace a corset. Plus, their dresses aren’t flattering to the full figured beautiful women.
This is from 10+ years ago. They have lots of plus size options now 😊
The first dress did not make her justice
I love how the dress she chose was so similar to the one her dad chose. You can just tell how much they know each other and love each other. Very sweet.

Okay I’m glad Randy showed the dad the reality of the 15 thousand dollar dress but oh my god she would’ve looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress. It was perfect for what she was looking for… Too bad it wasn’t around the price range.
Yeah it's sad certain designers refuse to make dresses past straight sizes (so like xs-xl or 0-12ish).
It was more about it not coming in her size I think , the dad said that if it would make her feel amazing on her wedding day he would pay that extra money .

@@panda_cute8856 I think it's a mix of the price and size. I'm plus size also, and if I got a size 8 dress that didn't fit me and didn't come in my size, I'd feel awful, and it would really put a damper on, if not ruin, the appointment for me.
Yeah. The assistants in these shows tend to go over the budget a lot of the time, but never in such an extreme quantity. 1-3k would’ve been okay in going over budget, but 12k more than the original budget??! It’s too much

I'm sure my dad would have done something similar, but $15,000 would certainly be too much, even for his little princess. Unfortunately he never got the chance as he died from cancer when I was 13.

I see where the sister gets her attitude. The mother is just as bad with some of those comments. As someone also having a Disney themed wedding, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have that Disney magic at your wedding. The dad is great and supportive. This episode must be before the Disney Wedding dress collections cause if I recall, Kleinfeld has some Disney Princess wedding dresses from Allure that fit plus size girls and can be budget friendly. I was able to get Allure’s Belle dress and it was under budget and gorgeous.
All these episodes are around 10 to 12 years old. All one has to do is look at Randy---he's much younger in these than in real life, where he now has naturally gray hair.

If you look closely, the family's matching sweatshirts say that the wedding date was October 29, 2011. But she would've LOVED the Disney wedding dresses they've released since then!

The mom & sister have that toxic “Disney is for kids” mentality that used to be so prevalent.
The dad has the perspective of a man long outnumbered by women to say “just because I don’t get it doesn’t mean it’s silly. If it brings her joy I’m on board.”
The one that looked like Belle’s dress was pretty, and I’m glad that Randy said it. If not, someone else would have said it after she bought the dress, and she would have had buyer’s remorse.

I thought the “Bell” dress looked more like a princess dress then the one she picked but it’s her dress & her day
But she didn’t just want princess, she wanted Cinderella and Cinderella’s dress is different from Belle’s dress, so the one she picked fits the vision better

This brings back so many memories. My wedding dress was LITERALLY a disney dress from Alfred Angelo and I felt like princess Belle in my day. She looked stunning!

(If I were ever crazy enough to get married (at my age, not happening), it would be closer to Wednesday's prom dress than Cinderella. Okay, maybe Cinderella but in black and grays. I look like a cow in white.)
I think a lot of brides need to go back and re-watch those original Disney movies before settling on a style. Cinderella may have worn a floaty dress to the ball, but her wedding dress had bows and ribbons and bling - like the second one.

The sister is waaay too negative towards her sister Megan and what she likes. She didn't have to call her Disney wedding nauseating, she didn't have to say she looked gross...feels like jealousy.

I love that her Dad told her sister to hush it and that the first dress just wasn't the one. Then he would've paid that 15,000 for the one dress. Then at the end he cried. Daddy's that cry are the best. They just melt my heart. My Daddy cried once over me but not because I looked like a princess. It was because I disrespected him. I was 19. He spanked me for the first time ever. He was the best, sweetest Daddy ever. This Daddy is a close second.

@@lexitzel6432 yes but not hard. Only with his hand on the butt. It didn't even hurt. The fact that I pushed him into it is why I cried. Plus he cried cause he did it. I really pushed him though. I was raised at a time when spankings were very common. I was born in 1956.

Aww I love her Cinderella dress! It was beautiful and flattering, she looked gorgeous! They actually make Disney princess bridal dresses! They're by Allure bridal (I think they start at 2k) and they have a luxe line too. More recently, Paolo Sebastian designed Disney princess bridal gowns and they're absolutely stunning, but very pricy of course!

I wouldn't have picked that one either, but I thought the comments from the family (specifically the sister) were a bit much. The second one immediately screamed "Belle" to me instead of Cinderella, just like Randy pointed out. She looked beautiful in the third dress and I hope she had an absolutely fantastic wedding! (And ngl, I would also be that plus-size bride trying to look like Cinderella on my wedding day lmao)
