- I'm getting sick of Shang-Chi showing up to ruin all my fun, so I built a deck that absolutely ruins him by topping out at 9 power with various threats.

Power Estimate: This deck was built for fun first and foremost, but had a fantastic 75% win rate for me through the first hour. It just felt so reliable and consistent into the tech-heavy meta, so I'm curious to see if it can maintain a solid win rate as more data rolls in on it.

Easily countered by using viper to send over blue marvel bringing the cards up to 10 and making them vulnerable to Shang chi
Sure, but that's a lot energy to spend and why would you counter only one deck. He's got a whole deck against one card. So unless that's what in your deck right now. Who's gonna play that at his lvl

Blue Marvel is pretty rare nowadays and someone with a Viper with it? Nah.. and if you're gonna prepare that kind of deck yourself to counter Regis' deck here lol someone uses that deck like 1/500😂

28:26 That is the Deity Cyttorak, He created a crimson gemstone that gives the weilder some of his power which is how Cain Marko became the Juggernaut and why he's basically got god level strength.
Also fun fact, Juggernaut is the step brother of Prof X
Also, Dr. Strange uses a binding spell called the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. The bands are nearly indestructible and have been bonded to Juggernaut before to create a suit of armor. They have been destroyed by both Magic it's Soulsword and Black Knight's Ebony Blade.
@@Jharrisimages Yeah that's the spell he casts on Thanos' to try pull the infinity gauntlet off looks like hot twisted metal. There is also a physical item with the same name, Strange throws it at Kaecilius to trap him when they fight in the sanctum, looks like a medieval torture device

That's why I love your content from Hearthstone to Snap. I conceptualize decks like this often... just don't know how to put them on "paper." Than I just come here to see my thoughts on "paper" in a viable deck. Love to see it! keep up the great content as usual!

I wasnt playing odin at all haha - I was playing a budget mr negative deck as i have like almost no tier 4/5 card... which is why i run morph (and super skrull) 😂
I dont like shangchi neither - when i was trying to play a GR hela discard deck i get shang chi'ed 4 out of 5 games so i just stopped playing that deck 😅 - but to stand a chance against some decks shang chi is really useful

I know Marvel Snap takes a lot of focus to pay attention to everything that happens while figuring out what your opponent could be playing and what you can play to mitigate it, especially when trying to record. Still, sometimes I want to scream "Your gladiator already killed their Doctor Doom so you don't have to worry about that" when Regis kept trying to play around it.
I hadn't thought about Rescue being playable now since the Master of Kung Fu nerf. You're a genius.
27:30 This might be a bit of a hot take, but I think Collapsed Mine is one of best designed locations the game has introduced. So many neat little decision points to make.
Reminds me of the good stuff Darkhawk deck. Maybe Polaris/Miles Morales or Black Bolt/Stature for solid cards that enable efficient low cost stat dumps that still dodge Shang-chi?

Thanks for the video and the deck. I actually think that Zabu is a bigger menace than Shang-Chi, as he enables all the 4 cost cards like him; I'm seeing Zabu in virtually every deck I play against.

I added Zabu , Black Bolt and Stature and the Mini discard have been catching people off guard
I remember Lamby’s silk move midrange back then has the exact same purpose
This deck just makes me happy. No more worries and rage caused by Shang Chi, just pure bliss.

I grew to hate Shang-Chi so quickly back in recruit tier. I do not play him on principle. Excited to see him get dunked on.

People are using enchantress against caiera, i had her on my deck but removed her cuz they enchantress her and shang chi everything else, its even worse if is a sera deck

This deck looks great with a ton of cards i just don’t use or don’t see play like iceman, rescue, crossbones or negasonic. Might use this on reset see how it climbs around the 40 range with mostly bots.
Had to change it up due to what I was seeing. But got a 2 day infinite with this. Thank you.

The fact that the only card that got destroyed in the first game was Shang-Chi himself is just so poetic
In order to dodge Shang-Chi, I used to play a deck based on wong-white tiger-Odin, since tiger spirits are just 8-power; unfortunately, I will not be able to use that deck efficiently with Supergiant in meta...
My opponent played Shang chi and absorbing man on turn 6 using zabu. I went from winning all 3 lanes to winning just 1.

Just wanted to post saying I just took this deck to an Infinity Conquest win, so this deck is absolutely legit.
Cytorrak is where Juggernaut draws his power from.
Crimson cosmos has to do with juggernaut, cant remember if its in space or inside the actual gem that gave juggernaut powers

Cool deck idea! I think you should add Shang chi in to make it a little better though.
Early results are solid... I don't yet have Nico or Gladiator so i slotted in Nebula and Storm and won my first 5 outright and the 6th retreated after his Reality Stone flipped up Mindscape and i had Storm in hand lol
Edit: after going 15-2-1 i think i might swap Jeff and NTW out for Zabu and Shang and run it again in the mernin'. Nite y'all!

no, I think he just says the word destroyer in the description of the character. Cyttorak is a different character, and is the one who gives Juggernaut his powers
I have stopped playing Snap until Shang-Chi is dealt with. Should cost 5 if he's able to flip entire games.
Just play Thanos lockjaw with Caeira and you get more power and Shang immunity
FINALLy someone who sees shang-chi as the problem he is! so tired of everyone defending him! they nerfed all the other tech cards that got over played and were too strong! why can't the do something to him!? eve a change like "destroy 1 enemy card with over 10 power" or "destroy all cards with 10 power or more at this location" hes always been a feels bad nuisance and with no downsides to playing.
I guess Red Skull + Shang Chi decks destroy this deck.

Love your videos! I understand shang can be annoying but he is an evil that's needed. Otherwise it's no brain big cards. The issue isn't shang, it's people not knowing how to manage priority and when to play their big cards. A 4/3 Stat-line is terrible if missed or played for no reason.

ChangChi Killed the game.
Everyone left because og it. It killed the fun (with serra control usable since day1).
Fact that u can cumulate enchantress + changchi + killmonger + shadowking and play more than one of then in a game is an absolute funkiller.
So only harcore card gamer left, like the fun.
Now in every decks there"s at least 2 3 controls, the goal is to kill oponent's fun.
I spent more than 700h on this game and it's hard to leave so i try 1 game a day... and it just keeps disgusting me more and more.

Feels like Snap has devolved into who has the right tech cards. It makes my wins and losses feel more random and less earned
the tech cards are kinda why I don't enjoy conquest... I know people say it's all strategy and skill but I don't really want to try and play around an armor for multiple matches with destroy, or play around a sera counter deck with no armor and no cosmo... technically I could win still but I really shouldn't and probably won't... I really wish there was a casual queue in this game, but that'll probably never happen, because then the snap mechanic is kind of gone right?
@@EarnestEgregore Yeah I don’t like Conquest for similar reasons. If you or the opponent has the tech card(s) that hard counter it’s just a long unenjoyable slog even if you win. They should all cost more energy at least

I don't understand why people complain about shang chi if you know what your doing you can predict and dodge him pretty easily and things like caiera and armour give you a out even if he's frustrating he's necessary
Honestly in my opinion a good way to nerf Shang chi without killing the card or utility is something I thought of the other day. Give him, Ongoing: This card’s cost can’t be reduced. It doesn’t do much in the grand scheme of things but it could make him less easy to play and doesn’t work with Zabu or Sera
Or... play a tribunal or anihilus deck
