Man. This soundtrack is filled with life, with many emotions...with a soul. It may be based a bit in the Brawl version, but there is something that makes this version vastly superior. Perhaps is the diversity of instruments used here, and the harmony that they have with each other. Perhaps it's the fact that this was arranged because the great love the composer has for video game music. I can't tell, but it's definitely among the best melodies I have heard in my whole life, and that's much, due to the fact that I love video game soundtracks. By the way, I have heard more than 10 times this song...and still amazes me.

This remix knows the weight it's carrying, of the original as one of the greatest video game songs of all time, and also of the Brawl remix, as one of the greatest remixes of all time, and does it incredible justice. It has like this epic feeling to it, sort of positioning BB/SS as like a part of this epic universe and definitely the part we're here to see, but also lets us know how much more there is to the totality. Really beautifully crafted stuff.

Despite the characters not speaking a single word, Nintendo was able to tell such a moving, amazing story. He and I got chills running through the forest as Donkey Kong and Diddy… damn I wish I could go back to 2009 when times were easier. Not having to worry about real life problems, coming home to play super smash bros, club penguin or super Mario galaxy.

It's obviously a VERY quality song, thank you, but MAAAN the memories of little me curled up on the living room couch and playing Returns or Brawl on the Wii just hit like a gorilla-driven truck. There was clearly love and effort put into both the individual soundtracks and into this arrangement, and I appreciate the heartful, homey feeling of this song that any of us childhood gamers can sit down and jive to in our own little corners of life.
4 years ago I wished I had a score for this (or whatever format used to make this, I would love to see it in it's written form) Today this is still easily my top 1 in pretty much all of my music to listen to. I know this is rly old, but I feel the need to comment. This is a form of atmospheric. More of an upbeat form of atmospheric, but still atmospheric all the same. It is true you find more of the genre of music in Video games than anywhere because of the need to build atmosphere. The idea is to create a soothing trance, without having too strong of a melody line.
