    I recently saw the EV9 in the streets of Barcelona. It is a well designed car. I really like it.

    One thing I would like to add is that it seems EV9 is not that boxy :)
    Today, I drove 33 km. The outside temperature was -15. The average speed is 48 km/h (mainly on the highway with a speed of 90 km/h). The average consumption was 32.8 kW / 100 km. However, 36% went to climate, and 6% went to electronic devices (music, chargers, etc.). Only 58% was consumed by Driving. That is 19 kW/h for the most significant part of a 90 km/h speed. Seems like Cd of 0.28 is not that bad at EV9.
    Thanks for the range test. I will try the navigation to see if SoC is available anywhere for the driver. EV9 has some hidden menus. For example, if you go to the Home screen and select EV, you can swipe to the right to get an additional menu (with average consumption by drive, battery temperature state, energy consumption flow, etc.).
    All in all, EV9 Online Manual is a crap. For example, I had to Google how to put the wiper in the service state, as there was no information in the manual.

    The percentage on arrival is shown when you hit the button showing you the remaining time and km, then the popup with the stops at the bottom of the navigation. At minute 6:45 you should be able to click on the bubble next to the X and see the arrival percentage. At least in my ioniq 5 it's like that.

    Nice job, and kia has done the job, even with cold wetter achieving high power. Tjis is more important than range.

    Other youtubers are reporting that manual preheating works down to 10% . Maybe only when using manually not via the navigation?

    To get the EV9 to show % of charge on arrival you need to use a charger set as a destination, and there is a page that shows arrival %.

    Navigation based battery heating is leading driver to optimally stop for charge at 20% to have the most optimal charge curve and total drive&charge time over long distance. Manually activated the pre conditionin works all the way to 10-12% so unfortunately this test has a fairly big user error.

    • @perbengtson7398
      @perbengtson7398 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I do not get your point here. It is not optimal to stop for a charge at 20%. Kia just has a really bad implementation of the battery conditioning (I have had to Kia EV6, so I know).

    I did a trip from Lisbon to Amsterdam in April on my EV9.
    Firt time on a big trip.
    I did not like the way the navigation worked. I assume it was user error. I came from EV6 and maybe I assumed some things.
    But, still, the choices of roads were weir, when I choose the fastest, and end up in small villages 😂

    That's not cold those temps at all. You should have done this test earlier in the week when the Arctic Vortex was down. Try -38 to -45 for cold as was in Canada and I would imagine northern Norway.

      Those temps are extreme, too, not typical, even for Canada, unless referring to windchill in which case that’d be similarly disingenuous as wind chill does not effect battery.
      Yes it gets that cold here, just like it does in Norway, but it is typically for a few days, not for weeks or months on end.
