Wanted to add a shout for Evans EC2S heads - i bought a small, cheap Premier kit B-stock from Gear4Music to use in small venues and, after watching a few online comparison videos, put a full set of EC2Ss on them straight away. I love them, I get so many compliments about how that kit sounds. 👍🏻
It sounds amazing buddy, I believe the drummer also has something to do with that, so,Nice touch and command of kit, making it look easy is your job. I have seem and wondered about the acrylic chinese drums,(mainly snares) and brand FOREACH has tempted me,maybe now ill just do it,thank u.
Evans are the best then their’s the rest. Been playing drums over 50yrs.never cared for acrylic at all. I’m all Gretsch played everything and nothing compares to Maple,Mahogany,Oak,Poplar. Acrylic always has problems doesn’t matter RCI isn’t what they advertise to be…
I hate clear drums. I bought a first generation Ludwig Vistalite kit back when they were first released (yes, I'm an old guy). It was horrible! The bearing edges cut the heads. I kept it for 6 months. I still hate plastic drums.
I just converted an old school 90's era Mapex Mars Series maple shell 4pc kit to electric. Packed them with furniture graded foam. Using Ddrum Redshot triggers. Remo silent stroke heads.
