- In this video we repaint the valve cover of the K series with VHT high temperature paint. We went yellow for something a little different. Its a simple job which doesn't require much more than a 10mm socket, some sandpaper and paint.
Note: Spark plug seals shown in this video are to suite K20 i think and are different to those needed for K24. For K24A3 you want Honda 30522-PFE-004 and Honda 12341-RTA-000 for the rocker cover seal.

Did you paint the "HONDA" lettering too?
Yes I painted it then sanded it back for it to stand out a bit more.
hey dude west ausy here, doing a k swap on my eg hatch gli. got a k20A and the 6 speed lsd gear box but need to do my valve cover too, your vids are giving me some good inspiration. loving the content. ive got a question, did you say you put lip barm over the honda logo?? ive seen people tap them and also file them back after painting. just trying to get an idea.
Yeah mate i put my daughters lip balm on the logo. I believe you can use anything similar like Vaseline or whatever. Yeah you can also paint then sand which might be a good option, I'm not sure which is easier to be honest - the honda logo on mine isnt perfect but you cant see it unless you are really looking.
How do I know what kind of series I have
Spooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!! 🔰 all yeah need is a 10mm . Looks mint bro
holy crap i just checked out the spoon ones... they some pricey units.
@@teamaxlestands yeah wtf ae!!! I don't understand why anyone would buy one 🤷♂️
Looks awesome. How’s it holding up?
yeah its been really good. I wacked it with a spanner and chipped a tiny bit off which i chipped off. I touched it and and its hardly noticeable. I guess its probably not as durable as factory but it is holding up very well and is still nice and glossy
Is 1 can of paint enough ?
Yeah it was for me - I'm not sure how thick its laid on but it seems to have enough of a coverage and has held up well.
@@teamaxlestands Awesome, thanks
