Romulan Ale kinda seems like the Star Trek equivalent of Cuban cigars. Illegal but everyone uses it anyway.
Ever heard of victimless crime
The ale must be a symbol of a hope of peace and resolution for the future so thus they break the law to honor that...
If a law is unjust it's a patriot's duty to defy it
It pales into insignificance when compared to Tholian Babycham.
0:27 Kirk says ‘Officer thinking lieutenant.
I always thought he said ‘I was just thinking lieutenant.
Amazing I only found this out now with subtitles!
It always sounded like "Opposite thinking" to me when I was a kid, and I thought maybe Kirk didn't want the evening to go smooth? "Officer Thinking" makes much more sense, like saying "heeyyy someones hunting for a promotion!"
Lt. Commander La Forge: Worf? Are you alright?
Lt. Commander Worf: Romulan Ale should be illegal?
Lt. Commander La Forge: It is.
What are the ingredients of Romulan ale?
That information has been classified by the Tal Shiar.
section 31 would like a word.
The Synthesized Rpmulan Ale is what Senator Vreenak was calling a faaaaaake!!
Far better than Carogan Ale.
I think a certain member of the community who is singing the highest of high praises of SNCHW is dipping too much into the Romulan Ale.
Just drink WKD Blue and pretend you’re drinking Romulan Ale! 😂
After the 2nd Romulan Ale yesterday, i know how Worf feels today 2:10
ps.: this is why one should stick to Kligon bloodwine, preferable a 2309.
Indeed. I heard somewhere that 2309 was a very good year.
I'll drink to that!
Jolan Tru! I guess the Romulans that didn't like the approximations prefered top shef
For a moment there they almost forgot that it wasn't the real thing--but only for a moment.
Does the joke with worf being in pain due to Romulan ale imply that it’s more alcoholic in Klingon blood wine? Cause it would have to be one hell of a drink to get a Klingon so inebriated that he was in genuine discomfort.
That's what I would assume.
Perhaps it just doesn't sit well with the Klingon stomach.
@@professorbrainyspecs7366 also worf only drinks prune juice, cant handle his strong liquors
I also feel like this video might be showing community errors.
If you are referring to whether or not Romulan ale is illegal: it is possible that the embargo was lifted just during the Dominion War, or maybe Geordi simply didn't know that the legality had changed.
Romulans referring to it as "Romulan Ale" just doesn't sit well.
That might be a universal translator issue, whereas Senator Vreenak could have been speaking English and then dropped the actual Romulan name into the conversation.
I prefer Human ale. ;)
