    Tha k you for this tip, it also looms like it sets you up about an inch or two further up the deck that if you were to lay your wrist flat. So more speed

    Hi...so if you are angling at take off, you immediately are using claw grip with weight on inside elbow and if you straighten out still keep the same pressure?...thx

      Thanks for asking. If you are straightening out, you will need to reduce the pressure on the inside rail. This is how your disengage the rail from the wave face allowing you to change your direction of travel.

    Is there such a thing as a goofy handed bodyboarder, or do you just change hand positions depending upon which direction you are going?

      change hand positions. Arm with elbow along deck goes along the face.

    I've been doing this now for almost a year and noticed my shoulder is starting to hurt. Sometimes I can't even lift my arm up after a session? Any suggestions? Thanks!

      As with all sports, the exercise you do when not participating can help significantly when taking part. Try and do exercises that strengthen and moblilize your shoulders, upper body and core. Hope this helps.

    The bodyboard in mallorca dont stay in a good feel whit a guys and ia a shame dont have very much push on the way

    Claw grip looks absolutely terrible. Flat palms with strong fingers/hands is way more stylish 🤙
