Mind blowing speech. Sad that this video doesn't get popular. It's one of my most favorite ted talks ever.

A good and concise narration of the cosmos. But I really appreciate blending knowledge of astronomy with human values to nurture humanity. Great job Mr Govert and keep going. Grateful!

It's one of most wise lectures I have ever heard. Yet, we should look at the sky and think accordingly. Thank you Dr. Schilling. Fazlur Rahman, San Angelo, Texas.

It's one one of the most wise lectures I have ever heard. Yes, we must look at the stars and think accordingly. And yes, this act will change our lives for the better as human beings. We are indebted to you, Govert Schilling, for opening our eyes. Please propagate your ideas as much as you can for the benefit of the humanity. Fazlur Rahman, San Angelo, Texas.

It would be wrong to say that only 5 centuries ago earth was the center of the universe. It was the center of the universe for the people in Europe. People in the Indian subcontinent knew at least 1500 years ago that there is a heliocentric model and that the sun is a star, like other blinking dots seen in the night sky. Also, Aryabhatta measured the distance between the Earth and the sun with almost 99% accuracy of the current known value. Even the idea of light as an entity different from matter as well as its speed was known to the people of the past. Unfortunately, the so-called colonialists from the middle-east i.e., the Muslim invaders, and then obviously the British have destroyed everything and now they claim they have discovered everything. I would request Prof. Govert Schilling, who is asking the people to broaden their perspective to also broaden his own perspective in accepting and spreading the truth.
