DMC5 Vergil DLC Release Date
We mentioned this early on alongside our game announcement, but never gave you a firm date or price. Well, it’s time to change that.
Our dev team has been hard at work in getting DMC5SE ready to launch the same day as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so Vergil will be arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC just a few weeks after that, on December 15th, 2020 and will cost just US$4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99.
To keep you motivated, we’ll leave you with a quick reminder that Vergil will be fully playable on Story Missions, The Void, and Bloody Palace.
An Update on Ray tracing for Xbox Series X|S
We’re excited to bring Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition to Xbox Series X|S with high frame rates up to 120 fps, enhanced 3D audio, reduced loading times, the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, Turbo Mode and playable Vergil on both consoles.
Fans playing Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on Xbox Series X will also experience the game in 4k resolution and with Direct X Ray Tracing. Both consoles deliver amazing next generation speed and performance, and while we are just now scratching the surface of what they can do our teams are eager to continue exploring the full capabilities of Xbox Series X|S in the future.

I used to use Rapid Slash 3 times in a row like Jetstream Sam during his final phase. Love to do that.

The "Mini-Stinger" Vergil finishes Combo A with is actually the finishing stab of Million Stab, or as I call it, Trillion Stabs.
Because "Million Stab" sounds too singular.

Well, I wished Capcom have brought back FE x Yamato combo from DMC 3 as ME x Yamato combo C. And yeah, Mirage Edge misses the aerial combo. But it is still very useful.

@@Busterbalz i know right ? this just makes him boring at some point. my first playthrough on vergil dlc was on DMD difficulty and i didnt even have any trouble on using vergil's full moveset because its dmc4se copy paste. its just dissapointing

One thing I don't like about Vergil in DMC5SE and the Vergil DLC: His Mirage Blades are *disappointingly quiet!* You can barely hear them!
And they are so small! In DMC4 they were like great swords now they are like throwing knives..
I do miss the actual sword design from dmc4. They do feel weaker in comparison, aesthetically speaking.

My PS5 finally arrived and I'm now realizing I suck at the perfect judgement cuts. Hoping you put that tip in the Yamato guide

I found that it's easier when you do it on air time than on ground
I cheesed an entire section of mission 7 with judgement cut end and got sss and it was beautiful
You gotta keep these guides going so I can cram and look like I’ve always known how to play Vergil
Should note that the Mirage Edge is the go to if he need to stun your enemies.
Recommendation: guide on Dante combos in DMC1. I played it recently after so many years. Felt so different from all the other games

So can you make a video of all the projectiles you can Parry/Block back at the enemies. If you press Vergils block button he will parry projectiles. I really want to see what this is limited to.

Ok I know I'm way late to the game but don't pause after the second square hit like the description says instead press square 3 times then pause then spam square I get it to work everytime doing this

I love to keep in mind this: it's a single player game and by being so, you won't use anything in PvP (which is a common focus for this type of videos, like Tekken guides, for example) but it still becomes something useful due to how deep the gameplay of DMC is. This series is just on another level, folks.
It feels like it's harder to enter flow state in this than in Bayonetta. So much holding buttons ahead of time. You have to plan combos and rehearse them like a dance rehearsal instead of dynamically adapting to enemy actions and coming up with new combos on the fly

Yes. It's still a thing. You just have to press the melee attack button *like mad* during Combo A.
I kind of wish he used V's cane instead of a magical sword. Combine that with Urizen fists/feet in place of Beowulf and we got a nice canon fused Vergil

IMO if these guides are going to be geared towards more casual players who want to step up their game, I'd really recommend making a video about Vergil's Trick and the insane potential that his animation cancels have compared to something like Enemy Step. That's assuming you aren't already working on something like that, but I'm not a psychic.
I'm not an amazing player and I only released my first MAD about a week ago (on an alt account) so I'm really only skimming the surface of the depth these games have but I think the thing that really helped me improve was learning about all your movement options and all the ways you can try to avoid "committing" to animations when needed.
Trick guide is in the works. As you mentioned, great for style and substance with how they cancel animations.

Iv been playing since the day dmc 1 came out thinking and hoping it was resident evil 4 that mirage combo b was easy on dmc4 but I only did it once during gameplay do everything else even multiple judgement cuts so you press the melee button twice right away then give it a huge delay then mash it cause he keeps ending in semi stinger pushing me off I haven’t tried void mode ever but I might have to for first time

I call Force Edge "Devil Sword Sparda" since it's the Devil Sword Sparda's dormant form.
They're the same sword, for crying out loud! One is just a grotesquely mutated version of the other!
@@tenaciousstudios03051 Feel free to but that's like saying base Dante is Devil Triggered. He's not, both are Dante yeah but one is significantly different from the other.
It's The Sparda when it's combined with both amulets, it however is not without them, nor does it have absolutely any demonic power without said amulets. Dante couldn't even DT with it in DMC1 until after it was awakened, it is practically a normal broad sword in all actuality. Hence why it has different names.
Again, feel free to call it whatever you like. But it's more than "just a mutated version" is all I'm saying. Realistically Vergil's Mirage Edge is likely stronger than it ironically.

@@tenaciousstudios03051 Except it's not the same sword, that's the whole point. Force Edge is just a normal broadsword that has the potential to be the Sparda. The Sparda is what it is if it's awakened by the powers of the amulets. It's not the Sparda without it though. It needs outside influence to become it.
Much like The Rebellion isn't Devil Sword Dante without the powers of the Sparda.
I'm confused about combo a... it says after the first press, rapidly tab Y for additional stabbing strikes. I can't get this to happen for the life of Me.

What happened to the Force Edge in the Canon? Haven't played DMC4 before. Is it destroyed somehow in the game?
If we are talking about canon. Then technically vergil shouldnt even have force edge in dmc4 because dante transformed the force edge into devil sword sparda in dmc1
Force Edge becomes the Devil Sword Sparda in 1 after Dante gets Vergil's amulet, then in 5 Dante abdorbs the Sparda into his body to make Devil Sword Dante. In DMC4 the Sparda sword and Yamato are used by a cult for demonic power and stuff, Dante and Nero get them back.
@@DJmcWAFFLE2 vergil's campaign in dmc4 takes place years before the main story, actually it happened even before dmc 3, so vergil still possessed the force edge

Yo, does Vergil have an air taunt?
He has 2 of em. One is a replica of the air rave from DMC3 and the other is him throwing summoned swords which launch enemies on contact.

Its Hit Hit Hit (delay) start mashing.
There is a DELAY after the third hit you have to do.
IF you dont mash, he will just end the attack before the piruette that does a lot of damage.
I kinda want a game with Vergil's Mirage Edge and Summoned sword on main character. I mean just focus on summon and control those swords, Summon sword to attack as melee weapon. Summon doppelganger... Pretty much like Vergil but have a actually story for that main character and have a more depth on these swords. Like some kind of mana bar can be filled by defeating demons and overtime....

Playing Vergil on PS4. Am I the ONLY one who can't perform the Combo B?? No matter how many times I try, no matter how long or how short I delay it, I can't pull off this fucking move, period. It's pissing me off. If I can't even learn a combo, how am I ever gonna learn the Just Judgement Cuts?

Drive are much more better considering it can stun and launch most enemies up into the sky when they back u into he corner and that move can penetrate thru multiple enemies while having high armor piercing

They really should have just called Deep Stinger the Blender or Shredder. Because that's exactly what it looks and sounds like. Hell, I'd have been happy if they called it the drill, but "Deep Stinger?" I think they were just fucking around with that name.

I'm having trouble with Deep Stinger input when not in sdt. I have both full but it doesn't work. But in sdt it works

Every time I try combo B it goes into combo A
So the first time you hit the attack button, Vergil will actually strike twice, so make sure you let him strike twice then press attack again. Then pause and start mashing attack. Hope that helps!

Lol I would of spam all projectiles after over drive.
What I dun like about Vergil (from watching the other streamers) is that he can just spam 3 super move in SDT form, making all boss fight irrelevant. 3 hell on earth in Devil Hunter difficulty basically can finish all bosses off. I wish they do it like Dante's Judgement, where using the super move will consume all your SDT in SDT form, or if you have full concentration and full SDT gauge, then you can spam super move with higher risk of getting hit, that way its more fun and challenging IMO.
Vergil has always been op...okay I have no idea that's what I know by what I heard and read.

From the beggining (dmc 3) most of the moves were mostly similiar cuz Force edge/mirage edge is very identical to the Rebellion.

Vergil is super weak without yamato he is nothing but dante is far beyond stronger than his brother and his father he have attack with and with out his sword and got many weapons to pick.
Vergil has trained himself mainly for yamato which he can do much better than Nero and Dante when they use it. (Speaking from the dmc 4 Dante's Darkslayer style)
