Diplomacy is literally not an option so I had to use an orbital strike from a death laser beam in the sky to defend my medieval castle against the hordes of thousands of enemies! Engineering at it's finest!

Step into the well-worn shoes of our Hero: a long-suffering minor Lord, who is forced by circumstances to engage in battle with vastly superior enemy forces. Boxed in a by a quarrelsome king, duplicitous advisors, and enemies on all sides, there is no recourse to resolve this peacefully. It seems that Diplomacy Is Not an Option!
Experience warfare on an entirely new scale as over 10 THOUSAND enemy units assault your castle walls. Do you have what it takes to save the kingdom? Is the kingdom even worth saving?
The game has been designed with freedom as a core concept. The Endless Mode grants you full access to the tech tree and there are no limitations on how you approach the challenges that the procedurally generated maps provide. Go heavy on walls early, build large armies of cannon-fodder, or pursue the macro game of greedy growth and costly investments. Finding which style grants you the most success is up to you.The campaign will offer you challenges of combat and morality: it is a grim and unpleasant world. Few are worthy of your allegiance and even fewer will trust it. As in real life, stupidity and greed lie behind most problems, but here it is far too late to talk it through. You have no recourse to resolve this peacefully. At this stage: Diplomacy Is Not an Option!

I like how mortician is among the basic necessity in this war game since usually the dead is basically being left to the mercy of de-spawning mechanic.
Not consistent though.. why do the enemies despawn but not yours :D
@@ktaragorn Because the enemy are poorly nourished peasents - no flesh on the bones to rot ;)
Ofcourse the gameplay reason is, there are to many enemies.

No, no, Diplomacy is something that only unlocks when you've completed the game entirely, and it's a 1 click, full screen nuke lol.

If you enjoyed this and other similar games you might want to give "They are Billions" a go. It can get pretty damn hard but it is a similar build/wave assault style game. Plus it has a steampunk aesthetic so truly an Engineer level game.

To be fair, trebuchets probably aren't unlocked yet.

I've not played this game, but the stone wall looks taller than the wood wall. I wonder if the archers would be able to shoot over the top of the outer wall if the taller stone wall was the inner wall and the shorter wood wall was the outer wall. Regardless, hope to see you play more of this game.

In this game, a 'Granary' is an option for storage. Why am I picturing senior citizens on display in a glass house, as though they were flowers?
Welcome to the Granary! Matilda and Helen will be bringing around complimentary Gin and Prune Juice Spritzers, Canasta will be starting at 1pm sharp, and supper is at 5.
I think that would be a grannyry.
I choose to pronounce granary as though it had the i of grain. Grainary, if you will (although I spell it correctly).
Grain-ery? You mean a SILO? A place for storing grain, is a grain silo.
A GRANARY is a place for fresh muffins. Mmm, Gran's muffins.
If you do more I'd reccomend getting more buiders, you had like 2 dudes working on everything, I hope they got decent pay for it.
You could use the secondary wall as a fallback postion when the first wall gets over run and is going to fall.
Would be cool if you could add bridges between the walls to allow for falling back like that
I think the tower defense funnel approach might work if you station archers along each tier of walls you use

If you liked this game, maybe try out Empire earth, it is basically a game where you have to choose a civilisation at the start and build up an army and economy to progress through a series of ages like Stone Age, Bronze Age…, you also have to face enemies (bots or online).Anyways, cheers mate

They don't come from the village, but instead outside it. Still more sense than zombies tho lol

@@FrogAndAHat big revolt that's spreading? This kingdom kept its peasants non rebelling for whatever reason. There were a few big revolts that happened over big areas like over big chunks of present day Germany then HRE.

The only way I can see this as being better would be that if matt spent the whole video as he did and then we cut to paddy raiding Matt's base and decimating it.
