Yeah unfortunately in this game and in real life even if you're smart you still need to have access to material to even do anything. Even smart people still need to rely on loans and investors to manufacturer things. They can dumpster dive and get a job to make their prototype but after that they need to hope an investor is interested in their invention in order for them to mass produce it

You should really disable weapon capturing its not really realistic. You can't win wars with captured weapons, a nation without bow technology can't use bows or without steel technology can't resharpen steel swords which makes them just steel pipes.

i dont know much about this game but i love your videos... can you do something like a rpg one? Like you know the basic classes? Barbarian, Assassin, Healer, Mage? I dunno if that is possible but it would be fun to see who comes out on top!

Given that you are surrounded by persons or a society with at least one of those ethics:
Zenophobism, the belief of fear of the foreign and the unknown.
Authotarianism, the belief in authority and the rule of the elite few.
Individualism/Capitalism (just a different name of competetivism), the belief in competetion and that only few should win, while everyone else are left to fend for themselves.
Militarism or honorism, the belief in military might or honor, especially during combat or any confrontations.
Industrialism, the belief in industry and artifical constructs, no matter the environmental cost.
I should note that the persons or the society surrounding you must have none of the opposing ethics, else they will cooporate with you or leave you alone. However you are somewhat right, as yes, those who have overwhelming/ superior resources and thus the military might will almost always win against those who have overwhelming/ superior knowlegde. Ethics only change how the strong part interacts with the weaker one.

You should really disable weapon capturing its not really realistic. You can't win wars with captured weapons, a nation without bow technology can't use bows or without steel technology can't resharpen steel swords which makes them just steel pipes.

Nah, it teaches us that Mellon doesn't read the comments. He is constantly ignoring the people who tell him to stop allowing troops to pick up enemy loot. I'm sorry if I came off rude it's just kinda annoying to me but after thinking about it I understand why it isn't turned off which is probably that you couldn't find a mod for it.
