Thanks so much. Saved me so much grief today when i took mine apart and couldn't figure out how to put the springs and pins back together.

Another really good video by John Conway that certainly wasn't lost in cyberspace. Thanks again John!

Hi John. Keep up the good work. Nice simple video style and excellent stills. I always put a smear of copper grease on the back of new brake pads to eliminate squeal. Regards Victor

You are more than welcome. You made my day. I love making these videos and for the most part I think they go into cyberspace and are forgotten. Glad they could help.

Still helping me 10 years later. Just picked up an '88 R100GS and knocked out the two main pins from the front brake and that small pin with the clip fell out.. had no idea the top was a removable cap! Your vid saved me some trouble! Thanks.

Don't forget to pump the brakes before riding or you will be in for a big surprise!

Hi John, have you ever rebuilt these calipers? I have to rebuild mine because the bike I required was sitting in a shed for over 10 years and the rear brake just started leaking brake fluid like crazy. I was wondering if you knew if I had to split the caliper or if I can install the seals with the calipers as one piece?

Hi John, thanks for the video. I have a 95 k75. The shocks won't let me pull the caliper off (that was one problem), but I managed to reinstall the pads. I was triumphant for about 30 seconds: after pumping the brake 3 times, it sunk. There is fluid coming out from somewhere and the brake is dead. I am not sure if the fluid is leaking from within the pistons or elsewhere (if it is, the pads are useless now). Forums talk about MC seals. What is the most likely issue here? Thanks for your help again.

Hey! Don’t be embarrassed! The rear brake is activated by the front brakes so it wares out faster. Totally normal.🤪

Pushed that fluid back up through the ABS??? Scary and expensive.
