Just lost my father a few hours ago. This is the first song I wanted to hear. He used to play this song all the time when I was young and I with him all the time. As I got older, careers, life, and family of my own I barely got to see him. I have so much regret and hurt for not making more time to see him. The pain is heavy right now. Love you Dad!

I never had a father when I was born...he and my mother gave me up when I was about 2 months old to drugs and sex and other things and my whole life I never had those figures in my life and now that I’m 18 almost 19...it has never hit me harder and this song hits me so so deep cause I never got to have a father to teach me how to play catch or throw a football or any of that. I just wish I could look in his eyes and know that he loves me but he wants nothing to do with me and now I’m going off to college and he never told me one time my entire life he was proud of me nor my mother. I’m so grateful my grandmother raised me to the man I am today.
Bad things will happen to good people, and we can't choose wether they happen to us or not... But be proud of who you are and what you've accomplished. You have people who love you and are proud of you too, and I'm sure you'll be a great father to your kids, if you ever have them.

After he died, I asked him, "Dad, how can I carry your legacy? How can I carry you? I feel I can't go on without you." Yet, I am still here. Still playing and playing the music he played when he was still alive. I realize: I am indeed continuing his legacy but carry few things at a time. Hope this helps you a lot. Whenever I couldn’t be near my dad or thinking about him and my brother in another country I would play this song, and dance and sang out loud. Few days ago my dad passed away, my brother couldn’t be near and this song saved me. Whenever I see my brother, and look at him I always see that glimpse of my fathers eyes... remember and cherish every single moment ❤️
