It's literally guaranteed to have far too much fluff and no planned ending. It's designed to distract people rather than inspire them. People who crave series are just afraid of reality and want escapism. That's what open world video games are for. TMB would make a great little horror anthology film. It's a testament to horror B movies and it would make a great horror B movie.

Sweet Tooth wishes for his daughter to be brought back to him? Calypso revives her, arms her, gives her a hell of a bloodlust and have her kill her father, as his blade is still wedged into the table he just struck. Mr. Grimm wishes for his father never crashed during the stunt? Calypso causes Krista to be the one distracted and colliding with the Grimm Truck. Alternatively, there are other ways to have someone killed, like a jealous fellow stuntman or you simply cause some sort of paralysis. Dollface wishes to be free from the mask, as the world most famous supermodel? Calypso grants her wish as promised, and after a few weeks, Krista is beaten to death with a sledgehammer by a jealous competitor, in an ironic repeat of history as Krista killed fellow model Maya in this fashion out of jealousy. Trust me, no matter how you word it, Calypso will always find a way to screw you over.

my own main problems with the game is that there aren't really playable characters, just factions. Clowns, Skulls, Dolls, and Holy Men. I would've loved to see more characters and more story. and my other problem is Dollface... She was great in TM:B but they made her so unlikable in this game. other than those two, this was pretty much what I expected from a twisted metal game. I hope we get another one on PS4. I also love all the nods to TM:B in this game.

I don't think theres gonna be a new one anytime soon.. The company that made this game Eat Sleep and Play they stopped with the console games and moved on to mobile gaming :/
This is the game I had such high hopes for when it was featured on the first trailer. The game play and action was great.... BUT for me what kinda made it feel bland was not enough characters with unique stories like all the previous games. Being a fan of all the previous Twisted Metal games, this was a let down for me. Aside from that, game was fun regardless what people say.

I loved the game overall as I knew that what the story behind it all was.... I remember getting ready for this when it was free... then it was said that it was going to be a full game... not just a free to play multiplayer PSN title the story wasn't something they planned for in the first place... and if they did what they did for this game for everyone.... the deadlines would of been missed and it was gonig to cost too much. They didn't have the time or money to do it for everyone... so they did who they could and even though we didn't get it all.... what we got I think is the best... if we got the whole cast... that would of been crazy
Almost half of the things in that case we're from Twisted metal Black. Crazy 8 boxing glove, Shadow's voodoo dolls, Outlaw's Teddy bear, Smiths? FBI ID and Dollface's key to her mask. One of them is from 2 or 3 Alison's Helmet. And the rest idk whose they are.

+Dankest Meth_Noskopez The overall game was great - being able to have any character in any vehicle and customize said vehicle and the gameplay felt like Twisted Metal, but the storylines sucked and was a HUGE turn off for me because like you said, there were only 3 storylines instead of the vast number of over a dozen (even though it was more "only 3 story's compared to the regular 15+"). Plus, being isolated and playing by myself, the story mode comes into play. 4-5 factions and in a game of 32 people, there'll be more than 1 in your "faction" compared to other drivers like the Axel driver - he was cool. Or Marcus AND Needles Kane being the same person and Marcus Kane breaking the 4th wall in TM2, Marcus is the shit and my boy. Having multiple drivers, Watts (Amanda and Miranda) in Twister or Roberts (Carl "Buzz" and Jamie) in Outlaw in each of their own respective vehicles would've been sweet - and having the special differ between siblings - like Amanda having more thrust in the Tornado while Miranda would've have more speed or more length of time using the special - or in Outlaw, having Carl "Buzz" have a more powerful shock and target 1 or 2 enemies while Jamie having max of 5 targets and longer range in the tazer - and if you choose BOTH, having it in the middle, like Both Roberts in Outlaw would have a max of 3 targets, more powerful shock (not as powerful as Carl "Buzz"), and a longer range (not as long as Jamie) and having multiple story endings if you would choose either one or both siblings - and having the customize be different between siblings and when both are chosen That right there - If THAT was in the PS3 Twisted Metal, I would still be playing it because there would be so much more endings to it, that, yes, it would've taken them a much longer time to produce, that the storylines would've been so much like the previous games. I know that isn't going to happen but sometimes I just have these visions that they SHOULD have incorporated - Like a vision that came to me about both Needles AND Marcus - having both of them be like in TM:HO where they drive the same 2 vehicles, Tower Tooth & Dark Tooth - and the ending would be the wish would get misconstrued because of switching personalities

Looking at Calypso's face, Why couldn't they keep it cannon and have is face all melted and burned like in the first 2? Ikr! I'm watching this and it didn't show the hospital with sweet tooth going floor to floor with him slaughtering people. That's honestly the best part of that cut scene and I'm sad TH-cam has to be this way with censors. It would've been epic to see that again without me having to boot up my PlayStation

This may be an unpopular opinion but I kinda like the style for the live action cut scenes It reminds me of the music video for the vengeful one by disturbed I also like the design for calypso he reminds me of Ozzie Osbourne which helps play into his devil-esque aesthetic
Anyways. I was trying to find the stories on the characters. Thought that with right writers and cast etc. They could bang out a really good Twisted Metal movie. Not many video games catch my eye for a movie but I think this could be a good one. I also like Bioshock. I know Resident Evil came out with a series but ill admit that it started to get drawn out but I still enjoyed it. Something to watch on a Sunday afternoon.
I like how they placed some easter eggs in Mr.Grimms story, like The Preacher or the Voodoo Dolls from twisted metal black there were also some other prices from Twisted Black
Calypso has various mementos of previous contestants from previous games including Black and the first few games implying that there’s continuity. But how can this game exist in the same universe when Grimm was the grim reaper in the first few games and later someone who wore the skull of his dead comrade in Black? Now he’s neither of those people...

This legendary, mega popular and epic game actually talks about our real world. Calypso is a Satan, the Beast, and he has a supernatural powers, but he can do some certain supernatural thing (wish prize) just once exactly like a real Satan (Draconian) in our world who can do one certain illusion just one time, or in other words, he can't do the same illusion more than one time. And these characters actually represent all of us. See, we're ready to fight and do all we can just to get what we want in our life. So, this game is literally telling us that a slavery of our hearts/souls to materialism is actually our own defeat in the eternaly, or in other words, that our huge hunger for this world in terms of money, expensive clothes, exotic cars, modern houses, yachts, plains and all other kind of material distractions are actually our own fall. Our souls/hearts are captured in this material illusion which you call, "the world", and all what our souls/hearts wants is actually more and more material things. So, when someone comes to Calypso with some personal wish, what the hell that person wants? He wants something from this material world, or in other words, they always wants materialsm. Than Satan (Calypso) *uck them all and they lose their lives. So, where they go after their death? Staight to the Hell. We can see that Calypso has locked down a millions of people in a cells of the Hell, and that Shadox is the only character who actually fugured out that Calypso is a Satan by sayin' some things like, "I know who you really are" and, "You're the Beast". So, what the sentence, "Be careful what you wish for" actually means? It telling us to stop with slavery to materialism, to clear our mind and free our hearts of material needs. So, be satisfied with the property you already have and don't be a person who wants more, and more and more materialsm. Calypso is actually sayin' to all of us that our mind should be over matter.
Man Twisted Metal has so much potential for a movie! I know there was talks about it back in 2012 I think but apparently it was scrapped cuz the franchise wasnt as popular. I say bullshit!
The thing I don't quite understand about this TM is the contest; in all previous iterations the contest was one event involving every contestant with one winner, but here it seems like it takes place over years between Sweet Tooth, Dollface and Mr. Grimm

The characters go around killing everyone and then end up dying horribly which they kind of deserve
my own main problems with the game is that there aren't really playable characters, just factions. Clowns, Skulls, Dolls, and Holy Men. I would've loved to see more characters and more story.
and my other problem is Dollface... She was great in TM:B but they made her so unlikable in this game.
other than those two, this was pretty much what I expected from a twisted metal game. I hope we get another one on PS4. I also love all the nods to TM:B in this game.

This is the game I had such high hopes for when it was featured on the first trailer. The game play and action was great.... BUT for me what kinda made it feel bland was not enough characters with unique stories like all the previous games. Being a fan of all the previous Twisted Metal games, this was a let down for me. Aside from that, game was fun regardless what people say.
Yeah, the fact that you didn't have characters, but rather factions was pretty bunk. I really do hope there's another title somewhere down the line.
@@BIGWH1FF honestly I liked it. a handful of a lot more fleshed out characters rather than a a large group you only get tiny glimpses into their stories. plus it isnt like you really played the characters before. they were in vehicles. you never saw them. and now you can use any of those vehicles.
I loved the game overall as I knew that what the story behind it all was.... I remember getting ready for this when it was free... then it was said that it was going to be a full game... not just a free to play multiplayer PSN title
the story wasn't something they planned for in the first place... and if they did what they did for this game for everyone.... the deadlines would of been missed and it was gonig to cost too much.
They didn't have the time or money to do it for everyone... so they did who they could and even though we didn't get it all.... what we got I think is the best... if we got the whole cast... that would of been crazy

Almost half of the things in that case we're from Twisted metal Black. Crazy 8 boxing glove, Shadow's voodoo dolls, Outlaw's Teddy bear, Smiths? FBI ID and Dollface's key to her mask. One of them is from 2 or 3 Alison's Helmet. And the rest idk whose they are.
This game felt a little lazy, only 3 story's compared to the regular 15+

JagDog2525 I think it was great... But Killing off Sweet Tooth? I mean compare this to Twisted Metal Black, yeah there were lazier plots but there were more.
+Dankest Meth_Noskopez The overall game was great - being able to have any character in any vehicle and customize said vehicle and the gameplay felt like Twisted Metal, but the storylines sucked and was a HUGE turn off for me because like you said, there were only 3 storylines instead of the vast number of over a dozen (even though it was more "only 3 story's compared to the regular 15+"). Plus, being isolated and playing by myself, the story mode comes into play.
4-5 factions and in a game of 32 people, there'll be more than 1 in your "faction" compared to other drivers like the Axel driver - he was cool. Or Marcus AND Needles Kane being the same person and Marcus Kane breaking the 4th wall in TM2, Marcus is the shit and my boy.
Having multiple drivers, Watts (Amanda and Miranda) in Twister or Roberts (Carl "Buzz" and Jamie) in Outlaw in each of their own respective vehicles would've been sweet - and having the special differ between siblings - like Amanda having more thrust in the Tornado while Miranda would've have more speed or more length of time using the special - or in Outlaw, having Carl "Buzz" have a more powerful shock and target 1 or 2 enemies while Jamie having max of 5 targets and longer range in the tazer - and if you choose BOTH, having it in the middle, like Both Roberts in Outlaw would have a max of 3 targets, more powerful shock (not as powerful as Carl "Buzz"), and a longer range (not as long as Jamie) and having multiple story endings if you would choose either one or both siblings - and having the customize be different between siblings and when both are chosen
That right there - If THAT was in the PS3 Twisted Metal, I would still be playing it because there would be so much more endings to it, that, yes, it would've taken them a much longer time to produce, that the storylines would've been so much like the previous games.
I know that isn't going to happen but sometimes I just have these visions that they SHOULD have incorporated - Like a vision that came to me about both Needles AND Marcus - having both of them be like in TM:HO where they drive the same 2 vehicles, Tower Tooth & Dark Tooth - and the ending would be the wish would get misconstrued because of switching personalities

Looking at Calypso's face, Why couldn't they keep it cannon and have is face all melted and burned like in the first 2? The way he looked in TM1 was pretty freaking creepy and that basically personified TM1, and I liked that.

Ikr! I'm watching this and it didn't show the hospital with sweet tooth going floor to floor with him slaughtering people. That's honestly the best part of that cut scene and I'm sad TH-cam has to be this way with censors. It would've been epic to see that again without me having to boot up my PlayStation

Anyways. I was trying to find the stories on the characters. Thought that with right writers and cast etc. They could bang out a really good Twisted Metal movie. Not many video games catch my eye for a movie but I think this could be a good one. I also like Bioshock. I know Resident Evil came out with a series but ill admit that it started to get drawn out but I still enjoyed it. Something to watch on a Sunday afternoon.

You also see a burnt helmet and a boxing glove with a bunch of doctors tools, references to TM2 twister and Twisted metal black Crazy 8’s endings
Calypso has various mementos of previous contestants from previous games including Black and the first few games implying that there’s continuity. But how can this game exist in the same universe when Grimm was the grim reaper in the first few games and later someone who wore the skull of his dead comrade in Black? Now he’s neither of those people...

Calypso is a Satan, the Beast, and he has a supernatural powers, but he can do some certain supernatural thing (wish prize) just once exactly like a real Satan (Draconian) in our world who can do one certain illusion just one time, or in other words, he can't do the same illusion more than one time.
And these characters actually represent all of us. See, we're ready to fight and do all we can just to get what we want in our life. So, this game is literally telling us that a slavery of our hearts/souls to materialism is actually our own defeat in the eternaly, or in other words, that our huge hunger for this world in terms of money, expensive clothes, exotic cars, modern houses, yachts, plains and all other kind of material distractions are actually our own fall. Our souls/hearts are captured in this material illusion which you call, "the world", and all what our souls/hearts wants is actually more and more material things.
So, when someone comes to Calypso with some personal wish, what the hell that person wants? He wants something from this material world, or in other words, they always wants materialsm. Than Satan (Calypso) *uck them all and they lose their lives. So, where they go after their death? Staight to the Hell. We can see that Calypso has locked down a millions of people in a cells of the Hell, and that Shadox is the only character who actually fugured out that Calypso is a Satan by sayin' some things like, "I know who you really are" and, "You're the Beast".
So, what the sentence, "Be careful what you wish for" actually means? It telling us to stop with slavery to materialism, to clear our mind and free our hearts of material needs.
So, be satisfied with the property you already have and don't be a person who wants more, and more and more materialsm. Calypso is actually sayin' to all of us that our mind should be over matter.
