@@dawsoncarter9708 I believe somewhere in Virginia or Maryland. The D2 agent were activated at the same time as our D1 agent, and became involved in rebuilding a settlement near DC. It would only make sense if the D2 agent came to DC from nearby, since there are no working vehicles in the game (not counting the Black Tusk), and walking to DC from NYC would take more than just a couple days like we saw in the intro.
It's the hovercraft, yeah.
Also the agent who orders you to go to Washington and atays behind survives. She is in the same cutscene where Faye appears.
I love how Black Tusk aren't just *'mean bad guys'.* They have character, I love em.

They're not even "the bad guys", really. They're just a hired PMC who are just very good at their jobs--they're simply the sword of the actual bad guys. One could argue that a group with that much military might and no morals to keep them in check is ultimately just as bad as those who hire them, but that's philosophy for another day, perhaps.

There is an echo in a high ground, where April, yup, the woman from TD1, met a group of Black Tusk squad. I thought they were going to kill her but after she warned them about an ambush, one of them (seemed to be leader) thanked and let her go. Later, he said they should go for the ambush group. It makes me think if BT has their code of honor or not, except Wyvern, of course.
One thing, please, where did you find the interrogate echo? There are six echos of BT and I'm missing one, it must be it.

April's Echo is in Judiciary Square near the Safe House E. St. NorthWest division2map.com?locationIds=5734 . It's building is a tall mall. You'll need to shoot down the anchor for the zip line

Probably they want "controlling", not "exterminating". BT seems to be a shadow PMC, which means they will serve those who pay the highest price. And it means they will fight up front. But if there is no conflict, meaning they are out of job. So, instead of destroying, they control them to keep the balance of the conflict. They may serve the highest payer, but it doesn't mean they will be loyal to them.
The fact that they support Hyena in order to make them equal to other factions, in term of firepower, including the Division, is a smart move. Except the others, Hyena is the least motivated group, just a bunch of criminals who "want to live like king as there is no tomorrow". By supporting them, the other factions cannot underestimate Hyenas and forces them to always keep an eye on them. And by balancing all the factions to keep the civil war going, American cannot focus to outside threat.
One man dream, I want to see BL cooperate with Rouge Agents to carry on a large-scale operation to take control of the White House, and the Division have to stop them. Imagine Division Agents have to defense against Rouge Agents and AI BL is just awesome.
I wish there was a way to choose another organization other than the division.

You're also leaving out that it was the Black Tusk - specifically Bradon and Brenner who took out the two secret service agents who killed the second president (Martinez?) and made it look like a suicide.
There's an echo west of the white house in an underground car garage that depicts this event and then a phone call near the south-eastern most part of the map that details what the two secret service agents did.
This leads me to believe that whoever the shadow leader is - probably had Weller (1st president) killed too and made it look like a heart attack. They WANTED Ellis to be in charge because whoever the shadow leader is, figured he/she/it/they could control Ellis far easier than Martinez and Weller.
On another note; I respect the Black Tusk's original idea 'let the division handle the others, then we'll mop up the division' - but strategically I don't think that was a sound plan in the long run.
I understand WHY the BT's command decided on it, it seemed like a good plan at the time. But in reality, they should've attacked and set their plan into motion while the division had so many other things on their plate. This would've easily lead to a collapse rather than allowing the Division to circle the wagons and fight back. That's JUST my opinion of course. No plan survives first contact with the enemy, that much is shown in ANY Tom Clancy book, game or movie.
I left it out, because I discussed it in the President brief (it's President Mendez btw). But, fair enough.
Great work. I always wonder why people say there is no story in this game. I guess because it is not force fed on the player.
I love how the Division 2 has been done, much better than D1, plus the enemy AI is off the chart, man they're good at trying to flank or push ya, I love it haha
I like more story in the campaign too, but not while taking away the story behind it. Then I wouldn't have a career in TH-cam :P.
Because they have to look for it and piece it together... Working for it is hard... and a lot of players are lazy. Lol. Personally, I love all the collectibles!
honestly, it didn't FEEL like there was alot of story because UNLIKE the first game, where you could unlock an ability later on to reveal all of the collectibles in an area you cleared, you don't get that here so you HAVE to search manually, and a lot of times you just don't run past or into the areas where alot of the lore is.
I picked up a map early on and began hunting down everything, and on my main character I'm currently standing at 100% collectibles outside of one of the bounty cards and the three Hyenas that are currently not in the game.
It's a fun game, and unlike the first one, I still feel compelled to play after i've learned all there is to the story. I can't wait for more!
I have an unpleasant feeling that we'll be forced to work with Keener against the BTSU at some point. I can't see someone with an ego the size of Keener's working for Black Tusk. He barely tolerated the Last Man Battalion. If they unanimously placed him in charge of everything ever, that might do the trick, since he's a narcissistic asshole. But the Black Tusk and whoever contracted them are also narcissistic assholes (I mean, New America? Praetorian Guard? Come on). One also has to remember that despite knocking out the Division's biggest asset, fueling the interfactional warfare in DC and launching a full-scale invasion of the city with superior numbers and firepower, the BTSU ultimately failed. They didn't neutralize the Division, the JTF or even the civilian militia, they couldn't hold DC and they couldn't extract the BSAV from the city. Now they're just another faction locked in the struggle with the others. Why would Keener associate himself with anyone who's failed that badly?
My theory is, the shadow group's next move will be tracking down Keener. Keener has both the virus printer and Vitaly Tchernenko, after all. Who wouldn't want that? And a showdown between Schaeffer's team and Keener would be... interesting.
In any case, with the national SHD Network back up and the BTSU on an almost permanent back-foot in DC, it remains to be seen whether this shadow group's new vision can be realized.
Keener could work with BTSU, if he is 200% secure to find out the identities of those controlling Black Tusks. The same people that made JTF retreat from Dark Zone and leave 1wave Division on their own.
It would be a great way to artificially instigate conflicts and resolve them if they have both the means for a cure and the means to make new viruses. People are willing to great lengths just for a chance to be saved and will give up their rights for it. Good thing we didn’t let the BTSU leave with the samples.
Well the BT do hold an airfield of some sort during the raid, so they aren't struggling as much. The BTSU got cocky and that's why they were defeated. Keener knows about the shadow government hence why he went rogue in D1. With BT we know they are being employed by some shadowy figures. I believe Keener is still "loyal" to the US but not the government due to the shadow government.

So are the black tusks the 3rd wave of the division because all of the first wave went rouge and a chunk of the second wave also went rouge so they are here to clean up the second wave like the hunters were theorized to be but since they are both in the division 2 we could tell they are separate operatives that are hellbent on eliminating the division second wave so it would be interesting to see any interactions with the hunters and black tusk

No. If they are the third wave they will never attack JTF supported settlements, JTF is literally the only working government agency why whould they want to attack their own guys.. they are basically or technically THERE are private corporation that wants to watch the whole world burn and then slip right into the middle to take control

I did a bounty that had 3 Black Tusk Bosses at the same time and I did it easily. Then I go do a Hyena Bounty with 1 Boss and I get clapped by 2 Purple Soldiers who walk up to me and punch me to death after lasering me with their SMGs. It makes no sense.
I wish you could play at one of the hunters. With there loadouts against BT n other groups

4 Division Agents and 4 Hunters battle it out in a medium sized landscape with lots of cover and choice of guns. The Hunters faction would have a advantage with them having multiple abilities but the division agents gadgets do 2x the damage then the hunters gadgets. Basically rb6 siege but with a little more health and such.
That would be awesome, although their set-up is almost the same as an Agent...
that would've been badass.
I love Odessa.. a division agent to the core...when you take a oath you stay to it, we're the division, we protect the weak and get rid of the threats as needed, we will survive.
However if Keener is watching us, let's hope he fucks with the black tusk alittle, I'd love to see Keener's true side come out...what was it? "Always be the smartest person in the room."

Information about the Hunters should be small and spoon-fed slowly. The best part of the Hunters is how little we know about them. Adding a bit more information about that but not too much and information that's vague make them more interesting but just as mysterious
@@MastermindsHD I think the Hunters work/equipped by Odea Electronics they have the same symbol everything. Who knows Odea Electronics could have supplied the tech to the SHD before the world fell to the dollar flu.

given what is said here there is actually a possibility of Division and Black Tusk teaming up at some point... makes me wonder if there will be some big bad that happens in one of the raids (I assume we are gonna get more than 1 raid) which leads to a temporary truce between the two factions. think that would be pretty awesome to fight along side some warhounds in some big push to somekind of stronghold or what have you...

Like literally, the whole tone of the game would be different if the player character was just another citizen who had to survive a terrible event that happened to the city. If that citizen then had to go out and help organize other citizens, and assist beleaguered law enforcement to help take back a community from chaos and destruction. Instead you play a secret government ninja with state of the art gear who walks into a government control point and basically says 'listen up Pussies, this is how we are gonna do things now'. Hell, one of the primary factions in the 1st game were just 'rioters'. Like, if Tienanmen square was a mission in this game, you wouldnt be the Protesters, youd be the chinese government state security agent shooting them from a window.

I realized this later in game after they took over. I’m not sure what happened to them who stayed behind but it sure was a nice hint and what was coming in endgame along with some of the collectible stuff which hint at something
In the hyenas grenade thrower post death description it does reference that the amount of m32 Gernade launchers that they have can't be just from police and military stockpiles. This is what the tusk are delivering to the hyenas
Yeah there is an echo of the hyenas that they talk about someone giving them gifts but they don't know who they are.

If you look back to the division Aaron Keener describes his possession of the Russian Virologist and 3D dna printer as “leverage”. Given this when looking to the division 2 when Bardon is talking to his supervisor his supervisor tells him that their employer has “leverage”. I don’t see this as being a coincidence at all given the trailer for episode 3 confirms Keeners involvement with the Black Tusk and his possession of the Russian virologist...

The background of the third part of the year 1 plan has been blurred. Some people speculate that it's the Manhattan skyline in the background, indicating we might go back to NYC.
The guy on the right at 1:14 sounds like Midas from Ghost Recon Wildlands. If Wildlands takes place in the same universe as The Division, that’d be a pretty big crossover. It’d make sense too, the Ghosts are Special Forces, maybe one of them became a PMC after shit hit the fan.

Masterminds HD not a franchise, just a real life PMC.
Black water was a private military company owned by Eric Prince a couple of years back, he sold the outfit and Black water dissolved leaving a huge hole in the supply chain on the war in Afghanistan.
My old man worked for Prince for 20 long years. The only thing my old man ever told me about black water was "we did the jobs the military was too chicken to do, and I loved every god damn minute of it."

To answer your question at the end: I think the Black Tusk or at least their employers new about the green poison before it hit. In Division 1, there is dialogue and quotes on how the government carried out this massive training exercise with the same scenario as the green poison outbreak. This trivia would constantly appear in the loading screens suggesting this simulation was foreshadowing something
Operation Dark Winter, a simulated bioterrorist attack on the U.S.
Operation Dark Winter was done after 9/11 to see what would happen if the US was attacked with a biological weapon. It had the initial smallpox attack happen in Oklahoma City with additional attacks in Georgia and Pennsylvania. After the conclusion of Dark Winter it was revealed that the US health system could not handle a biological attack. Thus Directive 51 was signed to ensure continuity of government. Then Ubisoft took all of that ran with it and made the Division.
I know, but Operation Dark Winter was done after 9/11. However, Broken Dawn hints at it.

Here's the thing, if keener hadn't gone rogue the division might have ended up working for the same people as the black tusks, the organisation has the current president as one of it's members and you saw how quickly we went back to following his orders when we saved him.
My thoughts are this, what if Keener is only slightly psychotic. What if he found out about all this and went rogue to make it look like the division couldn't be trusted to maintain order thus making it so these guys wouldn't be willing to work with the division, delaying their plans until they had built up the Black Tusks to take on the role the division was supposed to fill.
The green poison has spread bit it doesn't seem like Keener had a hand in it. He might just be holding on to the biologist because he doesn't know who's working for this shady council who seem to be behind everything. Of course what doesn't jive with all this is the threats he keeps leaving around at his old camp sites

A disease like green poison spreads exponentially. You just need one person on a plane infected and it goes global.
Put on dollar bills that got circulated around on black Friday. People who were infected but didn't know spread it through touch and traveled. Somebody infected opens a door, the door knob/handle is contaminated.

I mean, the BT might be the good guys. In an instance like this, with everyone breaking off and forming their own factions (even the good guys, see Campus, Theater, Castle being separate little city-states essentially) a government would need to come in and establish martial law, eliminating anyone who posed a threat to law and order. The ops in the BTSU clearly say that Ridgeway is a bad dude, and the Hyenas are crooks, so they have a good/bad spectrum. They don't want to kill the civilians, but they are forming their own governments within America. They do state that if they join up or lay down arms, all is good. If they fight back, shit. This includes the Division agents. Also they keep mentioning they want to try and keep all the good guys on the same team, so they 100% view themselves as doing what is in the best interests of America at large.
Also, they keep mentioning that although the Division has some good actors, on the whole they seem to have this problem of going... rogue and being an absolute ass pain for the good guys left. That and being kind of free form agency that answers to nobody, and you can see why leaving them around would be a no-no in any organized government. Hell, the CIA answers to the Fed, and look at all the shit they get caught still trying to do.
The only real thing about it that makes you go 'eh' is the New America bit, and allusions to a Roman Empire.
Man I wish they give us the option co-op with them. They are more visionary than the self-rightious toting fools we have to take objectives... ALL THE DAMN TIME

If you look at this video th-cam.com/video/sli7AbX2bEk/w-d-xo.html @ 3:27 it shows agents/survivors in the Arlington National Cemetery. From that view at 3.27 they are clearly in the cemetery which overlooks the Arlington National Bridge, in which you can then clearly see in background the Linclon Memorial just past the bridge, and further down... the Washington Monument. My guess is, the Black Tusk landed somewhere near the Pentagon Lagoon and Hunter Point to gain access to Washington National Airport and the Pentagon. The small town where you start in, is somewhere in between..which is in Virginia DOC. If they were to make a DLC, maybe they will include this area.. Pentagon City?

I would like it if the black tusk were targeting the division not only because they are the biggest threat to the black tusk but also because Arron Keener is working with them in a similar way to his partnership with the LMB but to a deeper extent because black tusk has a greater fighting force and more advanced technology or perhaps he wants to work not with black tusk per se but whom ever is giving them their orders
I doubt Keener would willingly work with BT. He only worked with LMB for his own interests and stabbed them in the back as soon he get what he needed
Guy has a huge ego and he doesn't want anyone to stand in the way of his plans. Could be Green Poison 2.0, Could be living like a Dictator and using the Virus Printer he has as a threat to anyone who stands against him
I don't see him working with the Black Tusk, unless he plans on using them.
