Digimon World Glitch - Cloning items (Improved)

- While I didn't come up with this glitch, this refined version does not require lots of money and won't keep the recycle shop glitched. This is a list of all items that can be cloned:
Sup.restore, Off. Chip, Def. Chip, Brain Chip, Quick Chip, HP Chip, MP Chip, DV Chip A, DV Chip D, DV Chip E, Trn. Heads up for anyone trying this in 2023. I tried this twice successfully, but if you try it when your Digimon is In-Training or Fresh, the discount you get must mess with the outcome somehow. You'll only get 1 of the item, even if you buy the glitched amount.
Awesome glitch!! I've successfully done it several times now and I also discovered that its not limited to just the 2nd item in the recycle shop list, if there are multiple items in there then this glitch can only be done with the last item on the list as long as theres the Restore at the top

This is the one I am talking about! Is it there not a way to get 255 of the cloned item, so that it becomes infinite in the item bank?
Does the item stolen have to be at the bottom of the list when duplicating? for example a Def chip and MP chip was stolen, I can duplicate the MP chip because it's at the bottom of the list but when I try the Def Chip the menu to doesn't give me the blank space for me to buy twice (sorry if this makes no sense, it's hard to explain!)
Yes, it works pretty much just how you explained it. The game fails to move your cursor up, so it only works if the item is the last one in the list.

Hey Geta! Can you do the Agumon Bank trick with this to have infinite Chain Melons instead of 254? In case Agumon not working here, if you put all of them with square into the Bank, will you still have 254 or you need to have all of them in your inventary? Thank you!
You need to buy all 255 melons at the recycle shop instead and bank them with square x square x and feed, sell or drop the rest of them in your inventory, then when you ran out of your stock, you can then create a clone at Agumon's bank by pressing square on the melon. But you can only make one clone at a time. You get 0 melons at a time and 0+0 is still 0. So you must eat the cloned melon before you can make another one.

@@Sininchi18 No problem. Sounds like overkill though. The recycle shop is open for 15 days each year and 254 melons in your inventory would last for way longer than that. The restriction that the Agumon clone method only allows you to have one melon in your inventory at a time kinda sucks.

Is there any info on the Internet or somewhere where you can read what all kind of items gives you ''secret'' abilites that are'nt writing. For example digiseabass give you extra lifespan of 3-4 hours. Happymushroom and sirlion lowers tiredness etc...
I want to know all the items if there any special thing they give that don't say in the game. For example: It would be fun to know if rain plant give you something that don't say in the discreption, lol.

The original version was pretty sloppy, but it was known very early into the games lifespan. 15 days is the maximum age for champs. You're welcome btw!

So to "set this up". First, random question, how did you get his hp that low? XD
Now, for the actual glitch. Do we need to have Restore + cloning item in those positions exactly? Same with the rest of items? Amount?
The items are ordered by their internal ID. Restore has the lowest ID of all items that can be stolen, so it will always be on top. No need to worry about that. You really only need other slots occupied so the enemies actually steal something, the item amount doesn't matter, just the amount of inventory slots occupied. As for how to get that low, I fought Betamon because they are super weak and ran away before they killed me. Then I saved at Jijimon's house and came back for them to kill my Digimon.

Maybe I didn't phrase it right. How do you make sure they steal the item you WANT stolen, in this case the Melon Chain?
Can't they steal the restore and... idk, the medium mp?
I read the list of clonable items in the description, but that's not ALSO the list of "stealable" items, is it? Cause Restore is not in the list and it gets stolen.
So... yeah, again I must be missing something, but I don't see how we're telling the game "hey, this is what you have to steal".
The other thing... huh. So you did go that low just against betamons. Okay ^^
@@Tatherwood He saved the game. If the item that he want to be stolen failed to be stolen, he reset the game. Else he won't bother save before killing his digimon off.
@@daegograndynte2771 Oh. So we can't force the game to steal certain items. It's trial and error.
@@Tatherwood not quite. Once you died and your item got stolen, you note down which slot that the item was stolen is at. Let say, 3rd from top left. Then you load the game. Move the item you want to dupe to that slot and die again. Done. It seems that its not the item id that was predetermined but instead it was inventory slot number.
what if the second place item are chainsaw? i cant have infinity chain melon ;(
You will need to use up all the chainsaws before using this glitch first.
Once you get the glitched stack in the shop can you just keep normally buying chain melons from this merchant indefinitely or do they eventually run out?
Also, thank you for posting all of these tutorials, they are very impressive.
You would actually run out, unless you buy it twice if 1 is left before closing the menu. Then you can start from 255 again.

It's only to 1 at 15th / month
To 1 at 15 off the month they are up
To 15 at 31 off the month they left
On one year's they are up to 1 at 15 (days) the first 15 days
