I love your work. Keep it up. For areas with more clement weather like down south I hope e-bikes will get some cars off the road. Given the tropical downpours up here in Yorkshire we need other legal solutions.
Some nice bikes there. The power tool company Milwaukee fits in some of their tools a small tracking chip. Just incase your tools are stolen. I think this simple technology would be a great idea on your ebike as more people get them and are at risk of being stolen. Can be fitted while being made or retrofitted.
Good idea, but in the UK the police are not at all interested in catching thieves, unless the thieves have taken a "diverse" person's bike, shame, but true, IMO.
Please do a review of the ADO beast. I am currently debating whether to go for that or the ENGWE Engine Pro. Thank you very much!

During recent months I've been contemplating about purchasing an e-bike - especially the Estarli e28. The only thing that's prevented me from pressing the purchase button is not having firm reassurance that the manufacturer will still be in existence during the coming years. The last thing I'd want is a defunct screen/handlebars that are irreplaceable. The current situation with Vanmoof hasn't helped matters. I'm renown for overthinking & should just probably press that button 🙂
Buy cheap, buy twice. I have had a Riese and Mueller ebike for 4 years, over 12,000 miles on it and not one single problem or fault, I absolutely love it. I did have a Wisper ebike previously which was less than half the price, but no comparison, no end of trouble with it.
At the end of the day, you only get what you pay for...

I do not want to buy a product then a couple of years down the track -
I find out they go bust and I struggle to find parts!
Buy a Cube e-bike…Bosch motor and battery…simples 👍
Go for a well known brand like specialized, trek, giant etc not one of these many so called European based bikes that are all made with Chinese parts and are more Chinese when you look at there company backgrounds and where they are truly based.
I love my Tenways CGO800s and would recommend it over all these, except maybe the Honbike
Seems like the UK has a lot of options for commuter ebikes. Still playing catchup in Australia, as a lot of the models I see reviewed online aren't available here. And the ones that are available tend to be, as you say, brands no one's ever heard of! Which doesn't make me confident in investing a lot of cash when there may be proprietary parts that are unobtainable when they fail in 3? 5? years' time.

You guys should try the fiido t1 pro cargo bike, i picked up the revised model better brakes and a reinforced frame a few months ago and it's an absolute unit!
Hi, I liked the look of the Beast and noticed your post and it looks decent 👍 but I can only see 750 watts ones on internet it wouldn't be road legal in UK. 😔
@deydododontdedoh.5672 depends where you live as your local police and council will decide if they wanna bother pursuing people in your area. Nobody has ever bothered me in any of the places i've lived even using throttle and unlocked speeds on roads/cycle paths but your mileage may vary. It also ships in legal mode which limits it to 250w which is easy enough to disable if you want. You can also purchase a 250w model from fiido by sending them an email.
Such an elegant rider, you really do model riding those bikes so well. Great video rundown of all the key options worth buying. It is so helpful to get an inside appreciation of which bikes are out there and selected for value/performance. Thanks, Eilis

ADO Air 20's engine in EU/UK spec is limited to 37Nm. Only the unlocked international variant, 350W one, has 42Nm on offer... sure it's 5Nm only, but at less than 40 in total, it's about 13% of a max torque increase...

one nitpick I have when you guys discuss the option of removing the battery (easily) from an e-bike. I belive it's not a "nice to have" and ease of mind when locking your bike. Sure, you can do that too, but I think that for most people the option to detach the battery is to carry it inside your appartment to charge. I see soo many reviewers omiting this issue all together. I guess most of you have garages and/or you can bring your bike with an elevater into your modern office buildings to charge, but for many, many ppl it is essential to charge the battery at home, separately from the whole bike. That's why I haven't even considered anything from VanMoof or most of Tenways offerings, as their batteries are part of the frame.
Also - what happens in 4-6 years of intensive use and the battery degrades substantially. Do all these e-bike companies offery easy-to-swap replacement batteries?
VanMoof just filed for bancrupcy a couple of weeks ago. Where do you get spare batteries for their bikes? and how do you swap it?
just some things to think about before spending $2000+ on a new bike. cheers

Have you ever thought about doing a road show with your bikes , it’s over a four hour journey to do a test drive , one would of thought there are a lot of people like oneself in relation wanting to try but far away to try , somewhat surprising that others in the market place haven’t crossed their minds to do a road show but of course it might be a bad idea , there’s always a chance it’s the future coming to a town near you , gone are the circuses from the past, the future is in town the E bike big top.

What's the difference or benefit of buying from Electroheads over direct from the manufacturer?
I live in the northwest, so either way I'm going to have issues with returns and parts and servicing etc.
I would imagine they would fight your cause if there where any issues as they would hold some weight with the manufacturer with all there followers etc
I like that this company is bringing bikes under one location but ebikes are often used to commute and replace a car so reliability is key.
A few things they should mention and why id remain skeptical:
1. Ebikes are faster and heavier than normal bikes, mechanical brakes dont cut it, hydraulics are a must for added safety and easy of use.
2. No mention of tire selection or puncture reduction. A lot of rider struggle to fix flats on standard bikes, ebikes often have an even harder setup to change.
3. Standard and accessible parts. If bikes use uncommon or proprietary parts, if a new company goes out of business you are screwed.
I think if you want to make quality videos you should focus on less flashy edits and more structured content. Bringing micro-mobility devices to the masses need real, pragmatic solutions, not trendy videos.
Suggestions:
1. Setup tire punture ratigs for each bikes and give multiple options for tires.
2. Setup a rating for changing tires during a flat - tools needed and time.
3. Talk about groupset, battery and motor availability, commonality, and how long its been on the market (3rd gen, 4th gen, etc).
4. Give real world range tests to allow people to see use. This should include hilly, non-hilly and average battery charge time (as some slow charges are 6hrs, which isnt ideal for daily commuters).

May I ask y you don't test electric mountain bikes?
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
I want an e-bike, but after much online research, I have a list of spec requirements. Can you guys help if I email them to you? (Not looking for free advice!)
