it feels so sad that people bought the lies that Bernie Sanders would have made the US a socialist country. we already have some socialism: social security, insurance, public education, infrastructure, etc. I trust Bernie as a person. I can't say the same for a lot of people who run for President.

@@TheGalacticProphet-lf8bnthe point of the video is to highlight what is at stake. This is a relatively short video that puts what is at risk into focus so those who may not be the most informed in politics can see why this election matters and may be more galvanized into voting. That’s it. Since it seems like you voted last election and you will probably vote this one before hearing this video, then the message Bernie is trying to relate to Americans isn’t aimed at you. And it’s not aimed at me either, since I fully intend to vote already before watching, but I get what he’s trying to achieve.

@@Kalvis1 Not at all, democracy is the will of majority. He wanted his and his fringe minority beliefs to win to call it a democracy, which is fundimentally wrong.
On top of that Darkepix claimed he is sane, down to earth, which is not true since he supports workplace democracy. He also wants to implement a lot of good and nice sounding ideas without any way to pay for it, which would again increase government spending, countries debt and inflation. He wants more welfare while USA spends 1 trillion dollars per year on wellfare and in entire counties half the school kids are on welfare and subsequently drugs and no future prospects. USA is one of the biggest wellfare countries in the entire world, yet nothing is fixed and people are not happy, Bernie Sanders doesn't plan to change that, just always increase more welfare spending.
How does any of that sound sane and down to earth? It would be down to earth if he ever provided real ways on how to implement and sustain his policies.
He also claimed he is compassionate, sensible human being while he spends most of the video slandering his opposition Trump without ever backing up what he is saying. I mean even other youtubers would be judged more harshly than you judge your favorite politician for this.
Worst thing about all of this is that he is a grifter, he will run, take a nice pay check and let Hillary and Biden take over. He doesn't stand for any of his values, he is in clear support for democrats and clear opposition to republicans. If he actually stood for this value and this all wasn't a grift, he would be opposing both democrats and republicans as neither of them are going to ever implement his policies.
He never actually talked about policy implementation itself, how it would be done, what it would cost, what would be asked from every American, how would it work and sustain itself, because only thing he ever does is defacto definition of populism, and in that sense he is no better than Trumps populism.
Only thing he has done last year is slander and campaign against Trump, it just makes him look petty. He is doing what is the most populistic approach and also what fully supports democratic candidates over himself. He doesn't care, he hasn't implemented a single change, he was never planning to win and actually get in power and do something, he grifts to attract enough normal people that agree with him just to stay a bit relevant, then he takes his millions and properties and gets off to live comfy.

I will add that our voting system is not dependent on registering as a voter: being a registered citizen makes you get your voting pass from local government automatically.
Everytime I see people in my country saying "I'm not going to vote, because I think the system doesn't work for me anyway" I immediately explain that they need to cast a blank vote and explain why that is (a blank vote keeps the percentage required for a seat up, but the blank vote means it won't benefit any party member).

He hasn't been president because he's the most humane, truly caring individual we could've had. Jimmy Carter was right wing compared to his party, but he was one of the most humane, truly caring presidents in American history. People hated a born again Christian for doing what he though was right, and they would have hated a Jewish socialist even more. If Bernie was the Democratic pick, liberals would have run a red scare campaign funded by every rich asshole on earth. It doesn't matter that he is reasonable and correct about everything, many boomers would have been scared into voting against who the media told them was the most authoritarian. He would have had an uphill battle, and while he could have won, he would have to work against his own party. Most Americans still value imperial power over democracy, free markets over free people, short term junk over long term health. Most of those that truly believe in America's ideals are unwilling to do what is necessary to achieve them. Too many people either can't care or don't think they should care.

Then we have the online misinformation factories that are just turning people into nut bags which is only going to get even worse. A scary time for democracy and sadly it seems most people are asleep at the wheel because a 20 year slide is not fast enough to jump them into action. We need a new democratic reawakening… somehow. As a lefty I criticise leftists because I feel we’re handing a win to fascists by being so pedantic about the small stuff. It’s time we concentrate more on common grievance and issues that unite us (economics, housing, health and job market), rather than bickering about all the ways each individual is unique and special. Do that stuff later once democracy is healthy. Always remember you can vote your way out of democracy but you can’t vote your way back in. Anyway… peace out folks. Xx

Unfortunately, the democrats wouldn't have him. Now, instead of running as an independent he's created a new party (kind of). So, as it stands currently - it seems to me that a vote for RFK Jr is a vote thrown away and given to Biden or Trump. It sickens me.
Sure, I have my doubts and concerns about RFK, but not an unfathomable fear for our country's future and the safety of our citizens if T or B win. Either way, I'm certain the electoral college won't have him either. There's still time to bypass the electoral college and go with the popular vote instead (the way it SHOULD BE) via petition. Mr. Sanders, thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have to comment, however that I think there is a tactical error being made here. All of your points address concerns of the left and thus who would never vote for Trump; not those who might be swayed and the most important voters. Don’t preach to the choir, there’s enough of that going around

Actually, nothing can be done. The proof is evident in what happened all throughout Chump's existence, Puton's existence, Shenko's, XiXiPi's, KJU's, etc. Megalomaniacal dictators ALWAYS prevail. Always. They prevail until drastic measures are taken--just measures, btw. But obviously, if you don't deliver consequences to these kinds of people EARLY ON... "too little, too late" not only becomes the meme, it becomes the status quo. And let's all be honest here; ZERO CONSEQUENCES have befallen the legendarily lecherous. Criminal run rampant; they're released, rereleased, and re-re-re-released. And in the case of super insane *HIGH* crimes... yeah, NVM. Free to go.

My understanding is that if you say "the algorithm" YT automatically does not count your comment for the algorithm. Weird, right? So I guess what you're supposed to do is comment for the algorithm but not say so. I'm told if you type "I love all (x) videos" where (x) is a particular creator, the rhythm of Al Gore will put future vids from that creator high in your results. I dunno if that boosts for other people but it will indirectly. Because if you see your favorite creators in top billing and click on them within a day of the vid being posted it boosts them pretty well.

Yes. In hindsight though, he probably wouldn't have been able to get much passed. Republicans would stop him every step of the way, and plenty of democrats as well who wouldn't want their precious wealth tampered with. He was my ideal president in terms of character and what I wish the country could be, and I voted for him twice, but I've learned that if you can't negotiate with the other half of the country then there's not much you can get done, and it would only serve to anger the other side further.
