By far the best 'Learn to Play' board game video I've ever seen. Kudos! I will be checking out more board game titles that you have done learn to play videos for which I plan to play.
Thanks for the good introduction to the game. I totally love the simplicity of the system and the fact that it takes 2-3 hours to complete the game. That's how wargames should look like.
Love what Moe does and Greg’s designs, but I’m finding this not a learn to play, more a watch it played. Did I miss an earlier intro? Greg just jumped in unfortunately without any help on setup, goals, etc
That is covered in the rules at the very beginning, I'll make note of asking presenters to cover this. They've done so in other LTPs, but this one Greg jumped right into to show how the mechanics work. It's an easy game to grok, the hard part is making the right decisions.
On the Tannernberg card.. I would read that to mean the Russians apply damage before they fire back IN ALL YEARS... but in 1914, there is also a shift. Otherwise the card should read in 1914.. shift, IN ALL OTHER YEARS.. Russians apply damage..etc
I am resistant to card-playing games anyway, but here I must point out one other issue: Can we really have a strategic World War I game without the Middle East and Caucasus fronts?
I guess, we can :). We have already had some pretty good games covering only one front of the Great War (i.e. When Eagles Fight or Pursuit of Glory), so why not to leave everything outside Europe out? Moreover, Imperial Tide is more like an "entertainment" strategy (no offence to the designer ;)), not the realistic simulation of the conflict. It is more about fun of wargaming.

Thanks! Glad you found it helpful, and there are plenty more to look through in the Learn to Play playlist. Enjoy!

Glad you found the video helpful! It's definitely a very straightforward game, enjoy!
Thanks Greg and Moe, love the other Tide games, so probably will have to get this one as well.
Happy to help bring you more info on how to play the game! :)
Are there 'Mandated Attacks', ala PoG?
Will the vassal module be made available? Thanks and looks great.
Yes, once it passes the Compass embargo period. Should see it by summer.

Good stuff! I actually played it correct first time through! Well, sort of anyway.😁
Awesome, glad to hear it! Happy to hear the video helped you verify you did it right. :)

Can't believe you got me to buy a WWI game. smh
Mission accomplished. You're gonna dig it! :)
