I’ve had mine for a year now and I love it. Within a week I put some new speakers in, not super expensive and it is so much better. I also got some Bridgestone blizzake winter tires that make the snow no problem. I have a 28 miles commute to work one way and my average is usually 37 ish mpg per fill up. For what I needed it’s sporty enough, it’s comfortable enough, and it’s economical enough.

There's a ton of base 2019 Jetta S on the market coming off leases. Most are under 20K miles and with that super long bumper to bumper warranty most have years of coverage left on them. For basic transportation they're about as good as you can do in these times. You're right about the sound system. That's the only thing holding me back from getting one. If it had just a regular run of the mill six speaker system with satellite (like most competitor's do) I'd grab on in a minute.

I have the SEL trim and absolutely love it!!! The SEL of course has the premium BeatsAudio and it sounds amazing.

@@417garage9 the biggest difference is technology. The SEL comes with a digital cockpit, 8" touchscreen, BeatsAudio, adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers, and selectable drive modes. There may be more but that's what I can think of right now

@@chocolatewheelchair Special Ed, MC Lyte, Q-Tip, Posdnous, and apparently Queen Latifa all drove Jettas. Many of them were members of Native Tongues in the early '90s. Chris is still a Tribe fan to this day. For all we know, it was the same Jetta they were talking about. LoL

Hey, do you like this more than the 2020 Corolla?
That's a tough one, chocolatewheelchair. They're both really nice cars, but since we haven't had a new Corolla for review yet (stay tuned...it's coming) it's hard to say. The VW has a great warranty, tho, and the Toyota has a great history of reliability. Top trim level to top trim level the VW might win because of its powertrain.

Hi, sherry lubana. The Jetta is a great driving car, so if that's important to you, keep that in mind. The Civic, however, is available with great tech and has a history of Honda reliability to back it up. We haven't had an opportunity to review the Forte, but they too have a great warranty when purchased new, with Kia being a good value brand, in general. Sorry we couldn't help more, but hopefully this will give you a start. We wish you well with your car shopping and thanks for watching!

I’ll never understand why people buy this instead of the Golf...
The Golf is definitely a more sporty car to drive, heyitsme. And the functionality of the hatchback is hard to deny. But the last two gens of the Jetta have had impressive passenger space. That might be the tipping point. Plus, not that many people care as much for the hatchback in the States, like you and I do. Thanks for watching!

Yea a Golf is fun but a Jetta is more practical for many of us.
