    FAQ
    1. How Do You Edit Your Videos?
I do all of my video editing on my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I use an App called Power Director.
    2. How Do You Ship Large Items?
For things like golf clubs and baseball bats, I use the shipping tubes from www.usps.com
They are free and will ship right to your door. For wider, longer items like golf bags, I use the the sport utility
box from Uhaul. It is $5.95. Here is the link to that: www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/...
If you need to ship a golf bag and you dont have time to get the box, you can just wrap it in some bubble and plastic wrap and send it off.
    No box needed.
    3. How Did You Grow Your Channel So Fast?
I studied. I watched THOUSANDS of hours of youtube videos about how to make videos. I watched other top resellers and saw what videos did well for them.
I took advice from youtube pros like Nick Nimmin, Roberto Blake and Video Influencers and APPLIED it to my videos.
I also posted often and stuck to a schedule. I took time to edit my videso in a way that made them interesting, clear and concise.
Viewers want you to GET TO THE POINT. I also think I've had a little luck
    along the way.
    5. What Sells Best On Ebay?
Just search "what sold on ebay" and watch every video you can. The market fluctuates every day. Things that sell today, weren't selling 6 months ago.
Things that sold 6 months ago may be worthless today. You just have to do research. I'd suggest sticking to
categories you know when you first start. If you're a golfer, try selling golf stuff. The best sellers on ebay are knowledgable about
everything they are selling (to some degree).

Wholeheartedly agree with the half sheet label option. I did that for a long time before I bought the Rollo (which I LOVE!) Another thing about the Rollo is that if you ship a lot through UPS you can get FREE labels! So your only cost would be the printer itself. Also, they are coming out with a WIFI option and my understanding is that they will give you the hardware to make this one backward compatible on request.

Had I known you were going to have an affiliate link I would’ve more than happy purchased it from you. I wouldn’t of mind buying it full price, I just like to support. Previous to the Rollo I did the two label per sheet method on my ink jet. Gotta say I love it.

For those who is trying to print a label return from amazon, you have to hit shift +command 4 on the mac to select the image to capture the label first, save then print, I couldnt figure it out at first, because you get a label and a upc along with the label , so you have to select the label first, just a fyi, I enjoy my rollo! I bought a remanufactured one from amazon. saved about $50. I ship UPS, FedEx, and USPS. I ordered labels from UPS for free. And I will probably get hate of this, but I use them for everything. I am not going to switch out labels for each package. You can if you like. I have been finding that flat rate on UPS is getting better, so I use them more. It is like 4000 fanfold labels or you can get roll labels.

I've been using a regular printer, cut/tape...for a long time. But I don't sell enough atm where I'm doing more then 1 maybe 2 a day. (working on listing 10 a day now) But something you didn't mention, is the SIZE & SPACE a regular printer takes up... I have a really nice Brother color printer that I got out of a Storage unit I bought, but it's HUGE! And ink is expensive even on eBay. So there's a lot of advantages to switching to a thermal. Great quick concise review! Thanks ..:)

I don't know man, having a thermal printer for an eBay, etsy, et al business is a BIG DEAL. The amount of work and time it saves me is insane. It's the single best investment to an online retail business anyone can make, especially if you use sticky labels, which why wouldn't you?
I have a Dymo 4XL. Other than some occasional issues when loading a fresh roll, it's been a great work horse, but this Rollo does intrigue, although it is a little pricey.

you might want to mention as in my case, not following all the directions, is that if you have been printing from a regular printer and cutting and taping the labels on a size 8x11, you do need to go to the selling platform and change the label size from 8x11 to 4x6, took me a few print failures to figure that out. And, you have to change the sizing before you hit print because it won't change to correct sizing after you hit print, one more thing to remember is to change your printer location depending if you're printing a regular sheet of paper from your regular printer or printing from Rollo. These simple changes got me everytime. Rollo is a great printer, love it, thanks for the demo, Can I insert a blonde joke here?

@@joenwc A blonde woman decides that she is sick and tired of all the blonde jokes and how all blondes are perceived as stupid, so she decides to show her husband that blondes really are smart. While her husband is off at work, she decides that she is going to paint a couple of rooms in the house. The next day, right after her husband leaves for work, she gets down to the task at hand. Her husband arrives home at 5:30 and smells the distinctive smell of paint. He walks into the living room and finds his wife lying on the floor in a pool of sweat. He notices that she is wearing a ski jacket and a fur coat at the same time. He goes over and asks her if she is OK. She replies yes. He asks what she is doing. She replies that she wanted to prove to him that not all blonde women are dumb and she wanted to do it by painting the house. He then asks her why she has a ski jacket over her fur coat. She replies that she was reading the directions on the paint can and they said, "For best results, put on two coats."

Cover Girl has entered the chat. 👀 lol... No but in all seriousness, the Rollo thermal printer design is the superior design over the Dymo 4XL, and the worst thing about Dymo is that they're price gauging and taking advantage of the huge influx of resellers buying thermal printers and their asking price is ridiculous; also the only printer you ever hear of having issues is the Dymo; not the Rollo.
I personally decided to go with Phomemo with my thermal printer purchase. It has the same printer layout/design as the Rollo, and arguably even nicer (in my opinion)! I actually released a video about it as well just a couple of weeks ago! Not sponsored. I love it. It's beautiful piano white & black, and it just works. Best part is, it was CAD$50 cheaper than the Rollo, and CAD$100 cheaper than the friggen Dymo 4XL. 😎👌

I’m in Australia and I don’t have a desktop/laptop system I only have my Apple iPhone and iPad devices so I was looking for a wireless/Bluetooth thermal printer to print my labels. I found one that seem to be amazing however to print one label from the time you press print from the app it took 65 seconds for the printer to start printing. And when I contacted the company they said that that was normal. So I quickly returned it because it was 10 times quicker for me to print with my usual printer onto paper and sticky tape it to the parcels as I’m really not sending more than a couple of items per day.

I use a Brother laser jet printer right now. I use the 8 x 11 sheets that have two labels per sheet. I have to cut the sheets in half because when printing through ebay, half the page is like instructions and a receipt so it basically wastes a label. But cutting the sheet in half I am able to use both labels.
    Hope I made sense.
I'm thinking that Rolo printer is the way to go.

Have had mine for couple weeks now and the only issue I have is the poor quality of the print on Amazon shipping labels (FBA and seller fulfilled). Everything else comes out fine...eBay, UPS, FedEx. Also the free case of 6000 fan fold labels from UPS was enough to last for the rest of my reselling days. Can’t beat that.

yeah I've been selling on ebay since 99 and always just printed on a hp and scissored them out and package taped them on . i even remember when usps said "do not tape over label" and i was like okay how and what do you want me to attach this ebay generated piece of paper with? spit? went through that for like ten years without an issue and usps finally stopped saying that. now the only occasional issue is fedex seems to like to kick out a package for "shipping delayed - barcode label distorted had to reprint" like they just needed to send out some massive blast mail to say why they weren't going to get 20 million packages to their destination within a week. your video caught my attention through another one so i watched it and it was well made. i would like to have the ease of printing the peel and stick but not for 200 dollars up front. maybe if something comes up for little or no cost i will try it. if i can source the blank label relatively cheaply. I want to find a printer to print labels for my products. Does this type printer allow for light grays or "depth" for lack of a better term? My labels have a diagram built in solid works that allows the consumer to see how the product is installed. I'm already printing on peel off labels but like the efficiency of this type printer. Currently print 500-750 labels per month. Should be at 1250 in the next few weeks.

I think you can get them from FedEx AND ups. I just dont know how I feel about using free shipping supplies from one company and using them to ship orders with another. Like getting labels from FedEx and shipping 95% of my stuff USPS.

You can crop them with an editing software like Photoshop, rotate it vertical and then set it up on a 4x6” document for 4x6” printing. I’ve done this for Mercari and Etsy and it worked both times no problem.

Should I wait for a bit before putting packing tape or use something else? Can you go into details please?

    • @griminc6548
      @griminc6548 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@TheEpicFpsGamer Year old but someone else might be curious as well. Thermal labels come either top coated or not top coated. Most people will chose to use non coated as they are cheaper and or free from ups. The chemical used in most clear packing tape adhesive reacts with a chemical in most thermal paper and causes it to rapidly fade and I do mean rapidly within 12-24hrs it is nearly unreadable. Most top coated will not be affected or affected as badly. I always run a test when using a new labels to see how tape/water effects them. It is still not recommended to tape over thermal labels as it makes scans harder for the postal service as most tape is reflective. If you wish to protect a label further use a label bag and always package the item with a 2nd label inside in case of label damage.

Hi Josh...just watched your Rollo printer review because I'm thinking about buying one. Thanks for putting that out there as it's really helpful. Question for you about it: does the USB cable have to stay connected from printer to your laptop all the times, or was that just during initial setup to download drivers? My printers sit on a credenza behind my desk so having to connect this permanently would be a no go for me. Thanks.

I still write out addresses on 3x5 cards and tape them on the pkgs . it’s not a pain at all. What is the pain is manually putting in tracking numbers. If you get a digit wrong or in my case maybe one to many zeros..you don’t realize one is incorrect until they don’t update somewhere the next day. eBay counts these errors as not putting them in at all. Ugh! I’ll get one this year.

    • @HairyTornado
