  • Pete is going to show how to install A HIPA Generator Dual fuel carburetor LPG CNG conversion kit. Here on the homestead, we’re working on our emergency Preparedness. Part of that is getting your generator’s ready to run on different kinds of fuels. So you’re not limited to one type of fuel in case of emergency. He wanted to show how to get his gas generator to run on propane.

    You were supposed to set it by Hertz with a non-inverter generator. You should set that to 61.5 Hz

    Have you had any problems with motor by switching to manual choke. I notice you did not plug up vacuum line from choke. Another video I saw he had to plug hose or it would not run correctly.

      It was easy to install, and I haven’t had any trouble with it. It actually starts a little easier than on gas. Thanks for watching.

    Hey Pete I know it’s been some time . I’m rebuilding a perkins d3.152 and I was watching your video on the timing cover when you torqued it to 28 was that footpounds or nm ? Thanks

      @cheaphomesteading  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry man I can’t remember. I borrowed the manual when I rebuilt the motor so can’t even look now. You can look up a universal torque spec for the size of bolt and thread. it will give you a rough idea. I wouldn’t do that for internal bolts. But for the valve cover it should be good. Thanks for watching and hope you get it fixed

      Thanks I went 28 ft pounds for a 5/16 24 bolt. it should be around 21 went 7 pounds over do you think it would be ok to leave? It’s the inside timing cover

    • @cheaphomesteading
      @cheaphomesteading  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its good if the bolts tightened up. I would leave them. It’s not that much over. I’m glad you are getting it together. Have a great night

    • @philliphall5198

      Also if it won’t start then unplug blk wire coming out of little silver box with yellow wire
