Carly Rae Jepsen is the 80s teen heroine we never received
Right!
💓
She was born in the wrong time period
I read heroine is heroin 😂
@@chaddonut100Sounds about right the Kiss album is CRACK IN MUSIC FORM!
She's honestly made some of the best pop music I've ever heard. Give all of her albums a listen!!
yep
I agree. Besides "Call me Maybe," and "It's Always a Good Time," this is definitely her best song ever, and my fav.
@@ActVinny2 curiosity is one of my faves too
Love every song on emotions
@@jolinalee3887 Turn Me Up 😍😍😍
She deserved sooo much more recognition
fact
It’s so sad..this is very true
Did she die
@rogerzambranomusic
Physically, no. But sadly, she's as good as dead in the music industry.
@@jugemujugemugokonosurikire4735no? People still listen to her music quite a lot
Summer 2012 this song was on every radio show and music channel on TV in my country (Namibia, Africa).
I remember cleaning the house with this song on max with my bleach blond hair with the sides shaved off, just graduated from high school and ready for the great big world.
And now I'm 26, a mom, in my 3rd year at uni (dropped out a few times), just started my own business and trying to work on my summer body while on a 21 day corona virus lock down.
How I wish it was 2012 again.....
2012 was a great year. Wish we could turn back time.
damn miss that year
Girl me too. 2012 was one of the greatest years of my life so far.
Bayek One of the best years for sure. I loved my life 2011-2013 in my early teenage years. Which it could be that way forever.
@@joeydoherty368
The world becomes less exciting when we grow up. I wish I could be a kid all over again. I miss the simpler days
She's very underrated.
WeeeWriter this album is really good
she so is.
she was.
is it wrong if almost a 30 year old straight guy likes Carly Rae Jepsen?
I also can't understand why is she so underrated.
silently being a stan for carley rae jepsen as a 22 year old straight male.....
loudly being a stan for carley rae jepsen as a 22 year old gay male
+Renan Santana Wats a stan
+Foxy Girl it means addicted or obsessed any of those synonyms
yaas hunty you better stan
Listen / watch 'Stan' by Eminem.
8 years? OMG time really flies
Files?
I think its more than 8 years.and time not flies
Yeah that's soooo true 😎😎😎😎😎💪💪💪💪💪
Geill 😁😁😁😁😁🍕
Yeah and it keeps filing up! Lol
This Kiss should’ve gotten the same success as Call Me Maybe!! Carly Rae Jepsen is one hell of an incredible talent, she needs more recognition!!!
This isn't even a genre I like, yet I really enjoy Carly's songs! Uplifting and fun!
I guess so
i feel the same way. I am usually a hip hop and EDM kind of guy, but i fucks with carly rae jepsen.
X2 XD yo escucho metal.
この歌めっちゃ好き。最近頭から離れない。
I’m a gym buff straight ass man, and I’m not ashamed to admit that Carly Rae Jepsen is in my playlist during my workout sessions! Lol 😂
💪🏾👀
Yes king slay! Her music is for everyone.

This is so cute lol
This song marked a time, it marked my adolescence ... i love u Carly. ❤️❤️
What is it with this woman and making preposterously catchy songs?
yes also a Christmas song she wrote in 2009 called mittens its on you-tube and was used as the feature song on a Hallmark movie
leftymu Wrong feels so right by carly rae jepsen is also catchy i think.
it's because it's "Catchy" Rae Jepsen ;)
Janry Tayson LOL
She has never released a bad album. She's the best pop star out there. Pop fits her voice and she understands how to make classic pop music
Her most underated song
Carly took so much time with this video. It should be released at early September 2012 when it was bomb on radios! Today this would had 80 or 90M views at least, as TIGOY.
but it's refreshing.
It’s a pretty big hit. Even if it doesn’t have a lot of views, it’s one of those songs that everyone’s heard at least once.
Also her "tonight im getting over you" song lol
She doesn't have much where to choose 😂😂
It’s amazing how one song can bring back all the memories....
The synths on this song are INCREDIBLE. Love Carly.
this song has a sick beat, not even kidding...
Righttt!! :-)
***** you should listen to break free by Ariana Grande it's way better ;)
***** I have listened to both and I like both.

*Carly invented kisses. Such a Queen*
Yes she is
Carly is not a one-hit singer , her music is art ... this kiss the best💛💚💙💜
She's got a point, she's an icon, she's a legend and she is the moment 🥰
It's sad that this song never went up the charts, especially my home country i.e. Australia !
she sucks
ben johnson why u hating
***** i agree with Morgen! it's a good song. i am from australia and this song was never reached the top 20 here
This song is one of my favorite of Carly Rae Jepsen!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
I still love it 💙
You said that you haven’t sung these songs for a while, I want to tell you that this album marked a good stage of my life and here I am in 2023 listening to them.
Just discovered this song. Why wasn’t this a hit? So catchy
It was. Back when it was released
I remember being at the movie theatre watching AMC previews and waiting for the movie to begin. Then out of nowhere-Boom! This music video begins to play. Everyone in the theatre, including myself, got very quiet and hypnotized by this amazing music video being played on this big screen. It was so captivating that it made me feel like I was in the music video, as Im sure everyone in the theatre also felt. Then when it ended, you could just sense that everyone wanted to clap at how awesome this music and music video made us feel, but the shame of clapping and admitting that a Carley Rae song was awesome kept people from doing so. Definitely the best random movie theatre experience Ive ever experienced.
I became a Carly Rae Jepsen fan in 2013 after I saw her performance of this song on CBC for Canada Day 2013 on Parliament Hill celebrations. She dropped her sunglasses on the stage and picked them up towards the end. It made the performance and television broadcast seem weirdly real, like an altered perspective or something. The sun was also shining very bright and Instagram was a very new thing!
This song never gets old 🥺🥺
same here fam.
There were so many great songs she had beyond call me maybe. At the very beginning of the pandemic I went through her entire discography and wasn’t disappointed
another underated artist. what's wrong with this world?
SAME
she was pretty well-known in this era tho.
@@albabyahya Underrated 3 years ago, well-known in 3 three weeks ago era haha
this music was actually big at the time, but nowadays she really is underrated
Totally!

Wow, me2 , I listen to this song 10 years ago 😂
This was at her best. I love this album. A few songs from emotion was great too, but i really like every song on this album
SHE NEEDS TO MAKE MORE SONGS LIKE THIS.
"i went out last night im going out tonight again" ugh lyrical QUEEN
WAIIIIITTTTT I NEVER NOTICED THAT HELP
Carley Rae Jespen, not just on mission to hook folks on her catchy beats and loveable relatable lyrics. But a true Canuck from Mission, Canada.
Just woke up this morning with this song in my head... had to play it
I love the 80s inspired elements in this song
Warum bekommt dieser Kommentar so wenig Resonanz?
I will never forget going to a store one day to shop and I saw her CD sitting on the counter before checking out. The CD was so vibrant that it caught my eye and I had to buy it. I got home and played it and remembered the whole CD by heart. I have to listen to it to bring me back to the good old days
Haven’t listened this song in about years i remember loving the production value
Is there anyone still listening to this catchy and beautiful song in 2021?😍😍🥳💋
me
I'm listening in 2022
this song randomly popped in my head for the first time since i was 12! i used to be OBSESSED with this song!! i’m obsessing all over again, so happy to rediscover this💜
永遠に聴いていられそうなメロディーラインですね😂
Oh damn it's giving me 2012 vibes and it's bringing me back to my childhood memories. Feeling nostalgic right now. I love her.
Some kid one day is going to grow up and say "Man, you remember when Call Me Maybe came out in middle school...Music was so good back then" -____-
It was a good song though
Imagining when I have kids in the future and they call this song old-school.
And that is a seriously sad thing.
*Facepalm* On Everything how long did it take you to type it
*Facepalm* On Everything lol imagine that happening
This song has been stuck in my head for days! :D Love all of carly rae's music. THIS KISS IS SOMETHING I CANT RESIST! :D
HOW AM I ONLY HEARING THIS NOW?????
I literally grew up listening and loving call me maybe and i really like you
I dont think i can stop listening to this anymore. Like that chorus just hits all the right spots in my music loving heart
Omg this song make me feel so nostalgic
Keep being loyal fans! God bless you. The fan base is loyal. We need her to keep making music!
Why this song wasn't popular ??
37 MILLION views isn't popular to you?
Metallic Snake dude, compared to other artists their music videos gets 100 million to 1 billion views
Metallic Snake exactly dude, just look at her 'Call Me Maybe' ... compare it now.....even PPAP got more views... i dunno why such a talent is not followed by anyone!
No idea. But this was my guilty pleasure at high school (lmao)
Because Scooter Braun was her manager when this came out and him told Carly that he won't promote any other song if that wasn't catchly as Call Me Maybe. If you see Carly's performance from the Kiss era, the fans don't sing the other songs because they weren't promoted and obviously the people don't know that Carly has many beautiful songs more.
2024 anyone ?
yes and still and banger
Me 😅
I'm here 😂
Yessssss!!!
Meeeeeeeee definitely here!!!!!!!
She makes wonderfully fun pop music, I dig her
I always randomly stumble upon this and remember how much I loved her music! I can't wait for new music from her!
Damn I really miss 2010-2012 happy bubblegum pop songs :(
Now everything sounds so dark and hopeless
There’s a lot of happy pop album and songs, though not always famous songs.
Carly for example made Dedicated, Dedicated Side B and songs like Western Wind, OMG and Beach House which are upbeat and hapoy
most of her songs are underrated, i will never forgive you world!
Why were all these early 2010s songs so upbeat and happy-sounding compared to pop music today?
You said it has more party anthems that includes Black eyed peas, calvin harris, David guetta, flo rida, pitbull, lmfao, far east movement etc.
Im absolutely in love with this girl's hair!
I think carly rae jepsen is very pretty woman.
Jason Thomas Biggs she is a babe
She wifey
Baberham Lincoln!
Agree
Yes, I love her po😍rn video!
This song came out when I was a freshman in high school it used to be one of my jams!
With so much talent I don't understand why Carly isn't more famous than that.
I listen to her music like all the time. I love her voice. :D
I still remember the first time I heard this song and watched the video 😌 I was on holiday in the south of Spain and I see the lyric video for the song and give the song a listen… and I was like “Now THIS a BOP!” 😀 (granted, I was 12 years old at the time and was easily satisfied with what I was hearing in pop… Hell, what am I talking about? I still am!) 😂
9 years later, I still love this song (and pretty much all of Carly’s other songs, for that matter) ❤️ I wish I could go back to the summer of 2012 😩
Man I remember this song when it first came out. I don't know why it didn't get the same traction. It's so bubble gum pop it makes me feel so happy 🕺
Don’t understand how this didn’t have the same success as Call Me Maybe and Good Time. It’s a good dance pop song.
Feels like 80s...
This was my favorite out of her songs
*I miss this song, Carly Rae's songs are damn good* 🔥❤️
I got really into Carly Rae Jepsen because her songs (Including this one) played on the radio at the store I used to work at. I just realized that this video was released the day after I started working that retail job, how funny is that!!
I'm unhealthily obsessed with this video... 💜
+Ashley Gwynn I can't blame you, Carly Rae Jepsen is beautiful !
Now this is real music. I don't think my friend likes this singer. Well, he's missing out on awesome music. She's the best singer ever. I truly can't understand why anyone would hate her music.
I say this all the time, she's very very underrated
No auge da beleza! Sdds dessa época, cristalzinho do pop ✨✨
It’s like after the hype for Call Me Maybe died, people forgot she existed. She deserves better-especially her album E•MO•TION. That album is S O L I D
ARMYYY 😄
this is one of my favorite songs.
9 years ago... time flies very fast
I just discovered this song today but it takes me back to the early 2010’s and I love it
🤧👋🏾
This is so much better than call me maybe, I will never understand why it flopped so hard :(
because call me maybe was so f***ing annoying.
It got some decent radio play on some UK stations. I think the vibe is so similar to the upbeat sounding pop of Call Me Maybe that it was a bit overshadowed. There was a phase where female pop singers did upbeat pop, a ballad, then pop in a minor key. I think it was all planned so the sound stayed recognisable but changed enough to keep people listening.
it flopped?? i remember hearing this all the time in 2012.
@@nothintoseeheremovealong9372 no it didn't.
Yeah, because this song didn't catch, her career died :(
One of my favourite songs from her.
I love the vibe on Carly Rae Jepsen's songs!
This Kiss, I Really Like You, Tonight I'm Getting Over You are my faves. Love from Brazil 🇧🇷🌹
This song is so good and her voice is amazing.
How can a music about a cheating with proud make You feel so good?
Igor Perluchoo yes u right buddy
there is so much deeper to the story. go check out www.ascarnooneelsecansee.com/intro and you will find out the full story of her music. trust me you wont regret it.
I love retro sounding mainstream like this x3
Her music sound just brings so much high school nostalgia to me especially run away with me
This song will always remind me the time when I was 8 years old and a teacher prepared a kind of "mini talent show" , the thing is that I was supposed to dance or sing this song, I practiced for weeks!, finally the presentation day nerves ate me so my solution was jus running away. (I'm really sorry for my terrible English) that's my story. I hope you enjoyed it!!!
Middle school memories still listening in 2019 missing the good times
Great song. Can relate to her music describing my life and who I am
Love it!
you don't understand i was OBSESSED with this song
Yeah, I discovered this like 11 days ago and now I can't get this song out of my head! Is so good and catchy! I can't understand why this song wasn't as big as Call me maybe
