Doug Bushey i was in 2nd grade when this song was popular, now I’m in 10th. This song just makes me miss 2nd grade I guess, idk if that counts as nostalgia
Yeah, compared to popular music nowadays, it is so damn nostalgic. Everytime I listen to Jessie J I feel like "those were the days". People were kinda happier. I was too young to notice how great those days were.
Bc music was undeniably better 10 years ago, then it is today. Heck even songs from the 90s are still fresh af. Bc they use actual instrumentals, and talented singers, rather than autotune and computer beats, like they do with pretty much anything after 2015. Sad.
Most of them also wrote their own lyrics AND they were attractive and creative. Now it feels like everyone is copying absolutely everything that's alteady been created, no creativity at all.
Nostalgia is like drugs, it makes you feel great but afterwards you... you almost realize nothing will ever be the same as that feeling. You will never feel the happiness that you just felt. It’s a hard pill to swallow. You can try to relive the simpler times but you just keep getting older, it keeps getting harder. I’m addicted to this feeling and I’ve been trying so hard to relive it but with the stress of everything... you can’t. I’ve watched countless early 2000’s songs, it works for a little but then I just go back into extreme sadness. It gets worse every video I watch. We have to continue having making memories so when these songs die out and fade away, forgotten and lost in a sea of videos. We can surely say that we’ve had a good run. But hey, at least we laughed, smiled, and were care free as we heard these songs on the radio in the backseat of your parents car. We didn’t know how stressful and terrible the world was, but we didn’t care. We could be who we wanted to be without responsibilities. Without the fear of growing older. Not a care in the world But as a very intelligent bear once said, “We didn’t realize we were making memories, we were just having fun” -Winne The Pooh
My friend this was a heartbreaking post to read. But I want to give you at least SOME inspiration that has brought light into my life. I listen to nostalgia not so much to make me feel sad that it’s gone, but rather I use it to motivate me to get BACK there. Because there was nothing special about the moment that we fell in love with this song and the moment that we attach this song to. It was just that we were extremely Present. We were absorbed in the present, and we knew the art of being present. Over time we might’ve lost that art, but nostalgia is a means to teach us that we have lost touch with our Soul and are in need of going back. It is like our Soul calling us back home. This is what I learned from my life with meditation. Pray and meditate so that you can teach your mind to be in the same state it was back then. As Jesus said, be not like the learned and proud, but rather be like a Child. Then you will enter the Kingdom of God. Cheers.
well also things have been getting worse and worse the past 20 years mostly due to Politics but yeah that makes 2011 seem like great times compared to now

I also knew they were different singers. At that point of time I wasn't really into either of them, since I didn't really get into music until later, but I could tell the difference in their voices.
@@ziionnaa this is clearly overthought :D common sense is to have a better life then because there was no coronavirus. Health makes you have a "better" life. Of course there are those who had a better 2020 than a 2011, but it's an overall thought. I disagree about the "arrest" word though, 'cause it's for our safety, so it's really a choice.
@@ziionnaa That makes no sense. Obviously if you don't know about the horrible things your life will be better. Also, things change. People's lives change for the worse. It doesn't matter if they knew about the bad things in the world, life can still change for the worse

You should probably take a look at Who's Laughing Now. I don't get the feeling the kind of sheltered environment P!nk or Perry would provide could produce a Jesse J.

This is what pop music should be. Bouncy, up beat, vibrant. Not drone like, too much bass, boring rap and hip hop mixed

That makes two of us then..
feels like I'm the only one who absolutely knew this wasn't Katy 🙄... big fan of them both 💖
I also knew they were different singers. At that point of time I wasn't really into either of them, since I didn't really get into music until later, but I could tell the difference in their voices.
Imani Bey I knew ✨✌️
oh, it's been 11 years?
They don’t make beautiful music like this anymore
When life was better and we weren’t in house arrest
Life was never "better" .you just were oblivious to many issues, but this one affects you and now you think before it was better.
@@ziionnaa yes, we should not be so egoistical going up and down appreciating the good things in our lives while bad things happens. *totally see your point.*
@@edu.8552 is that really what you got from those little sentences? and i thought I was overanalyzing 🙄
if katy perry and pink had a child
hahah
+Erica Payne the perfect Hybrid Child x) loll
+Erica Payne All three written by max martin.
You should probably take a look at Who's Laughing Now. I don't get the feeling the kind of sheltered environment P!nk or Perry would provide could produce a Jesse J.
yes
the chorus was amazing
The emote gonna be fire fr
For freakin' real!!! 🔥
Jessie J is such an underappreciated artist. She's had so many bangers, and nobody ever brings her up when it comes to pop.
Remember that Sex sells and she’s talented but she’s not naked on her videos so that’s why.
Jessie is great I have gotten so much shit as a guy from other guys for loving her music. Her voice her style is beautiful and from what I have seen her personality is great. What's not to like? Guys have tried to call me gay for liking her. Well if she brings out my gay side so be it.
@@michaelbaker3868 Preach!
@@michaelbaker3868 gayest shit I've ever read,grow some.balls lad
She sounds a lot like Katy Perry, so I guess it could be a reason, I still confuse them
