Later stages I put an SMG auto turret behind me, I can turn it on to hold the fort while I repair the base, myself, my weapons, eat.something etc. There needs to be a way to repair traps, at least the electric fences.i like the way you try different base designs, I tend to stick to tried and true now which can be a bit boring. @Desmondbratcat usually, while I'm playing a "series/playthrough" (whatever you want to call it) I stick with what I know works. My "survival builds" series is just me messing around, having fun, trying out different things (looking for cheese). I always try different designs with the main purpose of giving other players ideas for their bases. "OH, you lile this little aspect of this base that I built and are using it in your playthrough? Cool! And good luck! Cause most of my (creative) builds fail" lol... The SMG turret idea is smart! Keeps the zombies away, and provides time to repair, reload, and reasses the situation! I like that!
@@RebelOnTheRiver Yeah I do the same, I am watching a dire wolf base ATM that looks interesting, also going to try an 8x8 underground base as well. My current real game no cheating I used my standard and it's bullet proof and boring, day 28. Always good to experiment and see what others do.
@Desmondbratcat lmao! Sounds like you're describing my playthroughs, lol... I do the same. If I'm doing a long-term run, I want every inch of it to be earned. No cheating anything. "Dev mode" and "creative mode" kill my enjoyment in a playthrough. Then, when you do finally find that last book or craft that new vehicle, the satisfaction is so much better!
You should put Piranha in that big pool and then a Kiddie pool whit electricity where that radiated came out of the water. Haha and as i write thise you said say, now theres the real horde i have been looking for and my screen Turned to electric boogie 😂😂
@@RebelOnTheRiver I wonder if putting a trench around the base would act as a catch basin, grabbing the water if the river is breached. Not sure it would help with the horde, but would be cool to see if it did.
@InfiniteKhaos when you cover your base in dirt, the zombies will still go into "destroy everything mode" but they will ignore the dirt. So if your base is covered in craftable dirt, it's almost 100% safe from being destroyed.

@InfiniteKhaos I agree! AFK bases, are way to easy to build. I TRY to avoid using cheesey tactics in my builds (doesn't always work out). Sometimes you just happen to build something that makes horde nights too easy. The whole point of the game is to battle the horde and survive. Why build something that removes the whole point of the game? Lol. I'm on the same page as you though. No hate towards people that play that way. It's a Gane, it's supposed to be fun, play it how you have fun playing it. I would just rather my horde nights be filled with the sound of zombies screaming in pain lol.
So, that was messed up. Didn't know big mama could duck a swing. And the zombies doing that annoying spin turn towards you, is silly and irritating. I'll go through your vids, and try out a couple of your designs.
This base is cool I like the idea's it's crazy how far one can go when it comes to traps . But that's what partly makes this game great

Yeah I thought the water element was something a lot of people weren't doing because of how weird the water physics are in this game
