totally agree with size differences. wish there were a 53mm/53.5mm option but it's very refreshing to see dayan take the risk and move into a multiple size trend, which they have continued in the dayan pro megaminx. hopefully my dream will come true as this (hopefully) becomes more popular
I also feel like the maglev one is more stable and just a bit tighter. And it has concentric magnets which, I think, feel more like springs. I tried 54mm, both spring and maglev. Now I main the maglev one for OH. A really nice cube, blocky in a good way.
5:09 to your question of using multiple fingers: there some algs where i use more fingers like different olls. But with this T perm the first "U move" i do a push with my left index finger so then for the "F move" i don't have to regrip and can use my right index finger instead. Maybe check this grip out, works really well for me ^^
Just picked up the spring 54mm and I have to say, this is already one of my favorite cubes. Has the speed of the Tornado I love but also the stability and clackiness of my long term main, the RS3M with maglev and corner core magnets. I definitely like this over the RS3M V5, that felt like it leaned a bit closer to the smooth, fast turning style when I really do want a bit of a clacky, tactile feel. Reminds me a lot of one of my all time favorite 3x3's, the YJ Zhilong, a 50mm from a couple years back that just had this amazing tactile but still super fast turning in a compact size.
Thanks Shawn! I've been really looking forward to this review. Bit of a shame to hear it hasn't maintained the TengYun's silent quality, I was really hoping that would be Dayan's ongoing 'thing', but I suppose puzzle feel should come first... As an aside, very impressive watching you use CFOP/Roux interchangeably with such similar results.
i agree about the size. people should totally have the option to choose what size fits them especially with even more younger cubers in need of smaller cubes. edit: i also do the exact same execution for the T perm and i do not play the violin
Nice review and video. I bought the 55 version because I was not sure which size I would prefer 🤔 and I liked it. The cube turns great, the magnets help to position the pieces and in general the cube is quite silent (which I like). Greetings from Montevideo, Uruguay. 🤗
Hi. Do you find that the different sizes perform or feel different? Like besides the difference in size, does one size feel more flexible or blocky compared to another size?
I’m a violist (yes yes i know laugh at me) and i use a pinch for t and j perms. I don’t use my middle finger for f moves. Edit: now that i think about it, we use the left hand fingers much more than the right hand fingers, so it probably doesn’t influence cubing
Hi i am thinking about another cube that isn’t too flexible after wrm v9. I am choosing between Gan 356m (because of black internal ) and Guhong pro maglev. Around the same price in my country. What should I buy?
I really love that you can choose the size. Got the 54 mm version with springs recently and could see myself using it for OH at my next comp. That you can twist the "juts" with your fingers is very convenient.

Just buy gan mini m pro
@chesnochinho no
first time I saw dayan guhong's sizing variations, I knew Shawn would love them😂

I have known you from 2017 when I started cubing I love your content pls don't stop keep on going bro ❤❤❤
I was not that thrilled with the GuHong V4, but the DaYan GuHong Pro Maglev is Incredible and is my new Favorite! Absolutely love this Cube!

I have been waiting for THIS video to make up my mind about if I am getting one or not! Thanks!!

thanks for the review
I really dont feel the need to get another puzzle since acquiring the tornado v3, but this one has me sooo curious!
The same here after tv3 i feel like i need another tv3 but this has made me curious
I may have bought 8 already, all 54mm, 2 maglev
6 turned force cube and then custom stickered
How does this compare to the GuHong V3?
The turning feel remembered me a lot at the ZhiLong mini.
sameee, just a scaled up version

Should i buy the guhong pro 54mm maglev with angstorm and dignitas?
Great intro!
Hi. Do you find that the different sizes perform or feel different? Like besides the difference in size, does one size feel more flexible or blocky compared to another size?
I didn't notice any mojos difference in performance.
In terms of comp. How does it actualy feel? Does it lock up when my hands are shakey or is it versatile?
Every cube can lock up. I don't feel that's really an issue as it's more about siZe, weight and flexibility.
Im considering getting the 54 because I feel like it would be great for oh, which I want to get into.

I can recommend QiYi XT3 V1 Flagship
Dayan is back baybayyyy
gonna get this
I have very large hands and I wish 57mm would come back... The closest I have is the GTS3 56mm + ridges (which makes it feel larger)
would you recamed , this over the new moyu v9?
Oh, I answer that specific question in the video 😉
I know but inside I want it to be so good@@SpeedCubeReview
I wish there were more 57mm cubes out there. 56mm is a little too small for me, but cubes are just getting smaller...
Totally agree!
I miss 57mm cubes
Oh no... Never again
For the t perm i do thag fingertrick too lol

Yo I just ordered one to use for OH too! What's ur OH average? Mine is around 20 seconds.
Whats the best budget cube in ur opinion
I would still refer to this comparison th-cam.com/video/WG1gvaqa9M0/w-d-xo.html
Juts must be misspelled got to be nuts.
That's what I first thought, but it may be that there is plastic "jutting" out to grab onto.
Bro really spawned in
I like 56mm
speedy
holy fucking shit that intro was scary

Then you're born in a country where only 1 variation is available out of 6.
Many stores ship around the world.
Love the vids. Pls make my day and pin me
