They mainly use it to power their water pumps during peak hours when Accra voltage goes extremely low and water pump would not function. Oh, yeah, and during dumso (power off) moments. What charging mode did you use to charge your AC180 with the inverter generator, some people are having trouble charging theirs with generators. The manual says to use something called "grid enhancement mode" when using an unreliable power source or generator. I have a AC180 but have not had to use it yet, we live in Florida, so hurricanes are a way of life for us. Thanks!
Hi, the AC180 is set to standard charging by default when you purchase it. We did not change that, and we charge with the solar panels or our 1700W generator, and it charges no problem.

It will. I bought this unit a couple weeks ago as backup power for my house and it will run a full size fridge no problem.
